1x1 Kim and Shade RP (+Hush)
((Yep post is all good. Perfect actually! :D Sorry I’ll need to do a fairly long post in response to this so I can’t do it right now. Thanks a lot!))

Presumably the pair went to some kind of public bathroom to get Shade changed into the appropriate attire. He waited to don the mask until they were just outside the establishment, since it would probably look strange and draw attention otherwise. As they walked Shade would give Spade the run down, doing his best to try and keep his emotions under control. He told Spade to treat it as if it were a mere business deal, to treat the men like businessmen. Soon they found the building and Shade felt himself practically freeze, breaking off mid-sentence. This was it. He was back here. But it wouldn’t be for long, and it would be the last time. He was going to stop this, and shut it down. Shade’s throat bobbed as he swallowed with great difficulty, then he started forward. “Let’s go...” He led the way towards the building, then donned the mask when they were close. He was not to speak from here on.
((Wait sorry, hold on. What are they doing when they get in there? Are they actually going to... watch people commit the acts or are they like going to sneak around the place, or get a recording of the deal going on?))
((Wait sorry, hold on. What are they doing when they get in there? Are they actually going to... watch people commit the acts or are they like going to sneak around the place, or get a recording of the deal going on?))

Also how much of this do you want to roll play out because I’ll be honest it’s such an upsetting content I would rather do kind of broad arching posts if that’s all right?))
((Yeah I was thinking that myself and the process is so damn confusing I’m definitely fine with skimming over it. Ah okay yeah of course with underage kids if they’re supplying those for their ‘request’ that will be evidence enough I suppose but they’re not actually going to have the kids do anything right...?))

((I totally meant skipping gosh of course not writing anything like that! Ah ok. I thought the arrest wasn’t happening till later but no that definitely makes sense too. Then I guess the trial will be pretty soon after this anyway.))

Do you orchestrated for two children around the age of 12 and 13 and then asked for an older child running age of 16 or 17. He wanted to vomit as he described his masters ‘tastes‘ and so convincing was here as well as of the money that he flashed. That seemingly And no time at all they were was still way to a room to wait. He was careful to record everything with his glasses looking around even catching glimpses of horrible things truly not as horrible as those perpetrate behind closed doors but horrible enough to be condemning for these people.
Everyone of them would be taken down, he swore he had a Bible had a put his hand on it in a court of law and swore. Oh how he wanted to press the button now, but he waited leaned in towards Shade, and whispered. “I’m so sorry I forgot...” all of it was part of the act. Certain ‘objects’ we’re quickly requested, which made this entire thing just so much worse and then the children were brought in. The room was closed off and sealed and everything that made him a good actor threaten to break. His body tremble to his stomach turned in the sight of these poor children he couldn’t tell which was worse the two innocent little ones or the side of the older one.
The hopelessness and despair the resignation and the fact that they were forced to do unspeakable things, enough is enough. He pulled the plug on his watch, the simple wrist watch. And that’s when all hell would break loose. From every angle police SWAT you name it it was there poured in arresting everyone sadly victim and victim mise are alike but it was what had to happen it wouldn’t be too hard to sort that out afterwards. Wouldn’t be too hard at all!
((Yeah I’ll definitely have to wait to write my post in the morning sorry I’m dead tired! I keep staying up late the past few nights and it’s not good and I need to stop XD))

Shade was probably having even more trouble then Spade was and that was definitely saying something. His stomach churned and he felt physically sick as Spade described what the fake character he was playing would want, from... children. Oh good lord... He tried to shut out the talking as it went on and had to clasp his hands tightly behind his back to keep from shaking. Luckily it gave off the appearance he was just a pompous, self-important git.
But Shade couldn’t shut out the walk into the room and then the arrival of the three children and his eyes widened involuntarily at the sight of them. Of course he knew they were there, that there were children even younger than Hush here, but still. He dearly wanted to tell them everything would be alright, as untrue as that was but... it could be... eventually. Then Spade called the SWAT and it happened. For some reason Shade didn’t feel a huge sense of relief as he thought he might have, he still felt sickened, but not at the police, probably just all of this, maybe at the fact that it would come to light. As both perpetrators and victims were arrested Shade ripped off his mask and stood in front of the three children they had pretended to request, begging Spade if they could spare them from being arrested. The three children looked terrified and confused as the Man who a moment ago had requested them for unspeakable things now appeared to be... shielding them...? And they barely realised what was going on.

((Pffftttt no XD Something has to be really explicitly graphic or really visual to give me nightmares I think XD)(

In the end they would all be going to different places the children teenagers and presumed victims but I’ll be taking the separate rooms at a facility waiting for them for evaluation. Child protective services or at least the English equivalent psychologist doctors and nurses got fingerprints did bloodwork try to comfort the children and put them in environments that were less terrifying reassuring them over and over that the nightmare was ending and they were going to do everything they could to get them back home to their parents and families.
Spade was roughed up, making it more real. As he was shoved aggressively into a small cell with the others. His ‘personal Affects’ taken from him and his glasses conveniently broken when he was backhanded for trying to resist arrest. All an act so they could get the evidence they needed.
Eventually all of them would be filtered through processed and sent to different solitary cells. Forbidden to speak. They barely he places to contain everyone. To the point many were locked into individual offices or closets even. All of them would start getting shipped out to be held for trial especially once their names popped up in systems or databases anywhere.
Many hours will go by and it would be almost a full 24 hours later before a blacked eyed Spade managed to get to the facility where Shade would be. Shade was given. Room, offered food and told to not talk to anyone until ‘debriefed’. The person who had handled putting him in the room seem to be the only one aware that he was actually part of the bust. Other people gave dirty luxe to the man that they presumed was just as wicked as all the other people wondering why he was there!
Spade knocked and entered the room, he was exhausted, dirty, he stunk like urine and felt like something scrapped off the bottom of a boot, but despite all that he smiled as he walked in. “We got ‘em!”

LOL I’m weird when it comes to nightmares they seem to come randomly that doesn’t always even seem to be a reason for them, I mean one day I swear awls I did was watch like happy go lucky cartoons and that night I had some kind a crazy horrible nightmare!))
((Of course all good!
Hehe I got one recently from a book series my friend introduced me too and it’s awesome but it’s about ghosts and it gave me a nightmare and I’m like REALLY?! But no hard feelings to the friend or the book it was still great XD))

Shade stilled and a pained expression came across his face as Spade rejected his request and let him know the children had to be arrested too. He didn’t want to let them even though these were the police something still held Shade back from trusting them. But then Spade was shoving the mask back at him and numbly Shade slipped it back on just before the SWAT officer came through and the five of them in the room were apprehended.
Shade could barely follow what was happening. But eventually he realised he was put in with a couple of other slaves, older teenage boys. They glared at him with a mixture of hatred and fear of course thinking he was a customer. Presumably if they were only handcuffed with their hands in front of them Shade could take off the mask and to the two boys with him he spoke something. A code known amongst the sex slaves. For sure they were kept isolated from each other, could barely lay eyes on each other, but somehow things got around. The younger children might not have known the code as much but every older individual did. It was to identify one as a fellow slave and that they didn’t have to expect any trouble from him. The two boys widened their eyes at Shade slightly before finally sitting back but still appearing nervous. Shade only stared ahead grimly as the car continued on its way.
His creator’s understanding is that Shade was taken to a faculty with the other teenagers and children instead of where the perpetrators and Spade were taken. He did nothing as he was handled, he’d seemed to have numbed himself. He finally came back to awareness somewhat when the man told him not to talk until ‘debriefed’, and well obviously the guy knew who he really was. Shade didn’t touch the food he was offered, and as soon he was left alone he felt terribly ill, then he doubled over and threw up onto the floor. He was sitting when Spade finally arrived, whether there was some sort of seat in the room or not if not he would be sitting on the floor, arms folded breathing slowly, almost looking like he was in a kind of daze. He didn’t seem to be in the best way. He glanced up as Spade entered and spoke but he didn’t respond, not sure if he was supposed to speak yet and he looked to Spade with the grim question on his face. He hadn’t yet shifted to his true form either.

“We’re watching banks and money and we know what most of them look like they did get away you’ve already apprehended to trying to get on buses. I’m sorry I had to go down like this. But we won. There’s not a quart in the world that won’t convict and give these guys life without parole or worse.” Indeed the room had a bed and a chair as well as a small bathroom he couldn’t help talking excitedly because never had a case been close like this. He had been under cover for over two years to get the last sex trafficking ring shut down. This had gone off without a hitch! He went to the bathroom and got some things to clean the floor for where he had seen the younger man had been sick.

Shade immediately frowned, then shook his head. "No." He stood and met Spade's gaze. "I mean... I don't want to cause any inconvenience. But... I want to return to my true form. I don't want to hide..." Shade said firmly. "That's how they exploited me, why they exploited me. And so that's how I'm going to bring them down. As my true self." He wasn't backing down from this, it was way too important to him. He tilted his head at Spade. "I'm not able to talk to Kim? Am I not going... home?" He hesitated before calling it home but then found he had nothing else to call it. Besides Hush was there. That was home enough for him.

He then quickly shook his head from side to side. “You can go back home, we just need to make sure we get to a judge. You can give Kim a call on her cell.” He only said her name because shade had, It was the first time Shade had heard him say that name. “I have a burn cell.” He pulled it from a pocket. “I’m sorry.” He said with upmost sincerity as he handed him the phone.
Shade frowned, somewhat confused. "So, we're going to a judge now?" He asked. He hadn't expected that. His brow furrowed as he eyes Spade. "What secret?" It was possible Shade wasn't exactly thinking straight after all this was all taking a toll... It was possible he perhaps needed some things spelled out to him. Hesitantly Shade took the phone, but when Spade apologised Shade looked up confusedly. "Sorry? For what?" He asked.

Unless shade stopped him he would exit the room and let him make the call he was eager to get this wrapped up and get the boy home.
Shade listened as Spade explained and then finally nodded in understanding. "Ah, right." His throat bobbed as he swallowed. Shade shrugged. "I don't care if my shapeshifter ability is revealed, they all knew anyway." He said, gesturing to the side vaguely, but it wasn't unclear that he clearly meant the people who ran the brothel. As Spade continued with his apology Shade glanced up and stared at him. He found he didn't know what to say, so all he could do was grunt. But... he was grateful for the words. At least he was acknowledging what those children had been through, how terrible it had been to subject them to more terror. But at least... they would get help now... "Okay..." Shade muttered plainly, sounding exhausted. But he could keep going, just this little bit more. For all those slaves... When Spade left he dialled the phone and waited for Kim to answer. "Kim? It's Shade." He told her since it was a burn cell presumably she wouldn't know who was calling?

His wife would have to deal with another month or two of avoiding most television shows especially crime stories him not being able to talk to her about it until the case was closed and his kids would have to deal with the awkward coming to hug them randomly at random times. He was going to be a wreck and he already was completely exhausted he didn’t even think to do something about the blackeye he just waited letting his mind process everything that it happened.
—over the phone—
Kim had come up with a strange idea and presumably she got Hush to join in. What she did said she couldn’t afford a puzzle have found some free magazines and picked out some images and cut them up and then the pair of them started piecing them together as a makeshift puzzle. One was a motorcycle another was a bunch of random foods for a candy store-ice cream parlor. At that moment they were doing the picture of a wolf. It was talking about certain breeds going extinct when the phone rang she didn’t even think she picked it up and just said. “Hello?” However the voice on the other end made her eyes open wide and she pretty much jumped up from the couch.
“Shade?“ Her eyes darted towards Hush. As the excitement grew within her. Mostly the puzzle thing had been to take their minds off of what was going on she was honestly really nervous about everything. So to hear his voice presumably talking in his voice or even if not somehow she still would know the way he said her name. Even though he said who it was something about it had been familiar the moment she heard.
Hush didn't take well to distractions most of the time but it was as if this time he knew it was as much for Kim as it was for him and so he joined her on the makeshift puzzles. But then the phone rang and it was revealed to be Shade Hush jumped up and came close, which of course was quite for him to come close to Kim but the situation helped it make sense of course.
Shade was indeed talking in his normal voice it was the one thing he hadn't changed. "Yeah, it's me." He still sounded a little down, he couldn't force any bit of cheer or triumph in his voice. "Is Hush there?" For some reason he'd gotten the crazy idea that something had happened to Hush during all this. "Is he okay?"

Hush could likely hear Shade on the phone he had good hearing. As Kim looked to him expectantly he quickly and frantically signed Tell him I'm fine, ask him if he's okay I want to know if he's okay. And what happened? He could hear it in Shade's voice. He wasn't great.
Shade sagged in relief upon hearing Hush was there and presumably that he was fine. "Oh... Good." He did sound genuinely relieved.

Shade exhaled loudly enough to be audible on the phone. “I guess I can’t say I’m fine but... We did it. The operation went on and the place is... secured. They got everyone out... They couldn’t do it as... delicately as I would have liked but they did it. It’s a start.” He murmured. “I think Spade is taking me to see a judge now. Then I’m coming back.”
Hush looked from the phone to Kim, sending and seeing the distress in both of them. He glanced to Kim and signed. Tell him to just please get back here safe. Don’t do what he doesn’t have to. He doesn’t have to take all of this for us...

Miraculously Shade chuckled weakly as Kim passed on Hush’s words. “Yes I do Hush. Who else is going to? It’s okay. It’ll all be worth it.” As far as he was concerned he would sacrifice himself if it meant they could all be safe and get back to their families. He truly would find it all worth it.
Hush pulled back and pursed his lips worriedly as he looked to Kim. But Shade was already replying to Kim’s words. “Yeah... Okay... Of course I’ll make it back.” For he had to see Hush again after this. He didn’t answer much else of what Kim said. “What had to be done was done at least, I think. I’ll be back as soon as I can. I don’t want to keep Spade waiting and I want to get this done as quick as possible. Bye...” He lingered on the phone though.

Shade of course did not take Kim’s words in any possible negative way like she did. In fact her words made him smile. “I will. Goodbye. See you soon.” He said as if it was a promise. For him it was.
Hush eyed Kim but he said nothing further as Shade sad his goodbyes, he only looked concerned. He waved goodbye to his older brother even though he couldn’t see him and perhaps Kim would pass that on.
Shade sucked in a breath and finally hung up. With that he trudged to the door and knocked to signal Spade before exiting through the door.

Spade turned towards Shade, gave a nod and as long as the boy didn’t protest he would lead him out of the place to a car with blacked out windows and drive them to the set location that had been arranged. Where they would tell the judge everything and he would get the first hand account of what shade had been a part of with this bust, and see his unique abilities as well as match the voice to The messages. The judge was kind somewhat elderly and reminded the young man that in court if he is forced to testify he may be forced to repeat things that he might have said on those voice memos but, with the condemning evidence that they had it was more than likely not going to be necessary.
Of course Shade didn't protest. He went along a little mechanically at that, a little numbly. He said nothing in the car unless he was prompted, and the whole time, it was clear by his body language he felt uncomfortable somehow. Something about the blacked out windows, the fact that no one could see into the car right now, as if he felt like he was being brought into danger. If Spade tried to touch him, even if it was just for reassurance, Shade would have quite the extreme reaction. But presumably nothing really happened until they arrived to meet with the judge, which Shade was also very nervous and apprehensive about. At first he could barely speak his voice shook so much. Hopefully Spade helped with a lot of the explaining. Shade showed off his true form to the man to also reveal his shapeshifting abilities and he took everything the elderly man said into account. He was willing to say what had been on the voice memos, to say anything that needed to be said to get these people convicted...
((Pardon me I don't want to mess up the RP, but should they be talking to the judge about this? Isn't the judge supposed to be impartial.
And sorry I've forgotten, with the trial tomorrow, are both Kim and Shade attending? Or is it the trial where only Kim attends and gets attacked on her way home...? And Shade's testimony comes later? I've gotten confused.))
And sorry I've forgotten, with the trial tomorrow, are both Kim and Shade attending? Or is it the trial where only Kim attends and gets attacked on her way home...? And Shade's testimony comes later? I've gotten confused.))

So he’s taking the testimony of Shade privately for his protection since he is a protected witness and then tomorrow, Everyone will be at the court except for the protected witnesses who will be revealed when the actual trial calls for it. That’s why the judge needs to meet the witness. And see the evidence. Kim is a witness of the attack and a protected witness is to be introduced for testimony.
And as soon as Kim is seen in public at the pre trial hearing, The news will get involved because of a lot of the people being prosecuted are well to do business people who are customers or actual staff. This is going to be a big scandal and so the news is definitely involved. So I would say that would be how they identify who she is and why she gets abducted.))
((Ahhh ok yeah that makes sense now. I don’t know like anything about this sort of stuff either so yeah wanted to understand better. Okay that sounds good! So Kim will be a witness at the pretrial right and then yeah the people who escaped will discover her and abduct her and Shade has to rescue her all before the real trial which I presume takes place the next day and well for the sake of drama let’s say Shade has to make his testimony there too XD Because Kim needs to hear him say his real name XD))

But yeah for drama reasons and not wanting to roll play out an entire trial which is very link the most the time I will say we get through all of the trial stuff because maybe Kim is missing a little bit longer or something but the trial can proceed without her at the interim but then it would get pretty serious if she didn’t show up soon since she’s one of the lead witnesses and of course he is as well))
((Ah yeah true fair enough. That'll probably be better anyway, give them a chance to recover afterwards.
Oh wait so they're abducting her before she even speaks at the trial? To keep her away from the trial? I thought they were getting after she spoke for like revenge that she led to the boss' capture or something. I don't mind either way though it's up to you))

((Ah ok so she speaks passionately at the pre-trial, gets herself abducted. You say its to keep her from the real trial though but Shade will notice as soon as Kim doesn't come back from the pre-trial since he's not there, but he'll come after her really quickly like probably late that night at the latest, so she won't exactly miss the next trial...))
Once shade was dressed and given a mask they would make their way to the establishment. Careful to follow all the instructions that Young Man gave him and insist he did not speak going with the original plan that he was a man of importance and could not be linked to this establishment. The short notice would fall to the fact that he Had a very busy and full schedule until someone had canceled recently and that left him with a nice little block of time to fill with some ‘enjoyment’. It would be made clear that it was a ‘no touch’, sort of thing. But the sort of acts that would be required were certainly against the law. It was made clear that money was not a concern as long as the particular taste of this customer could be satisfied.
