[Kimberly]

Kim’s neck twisted towards him a little too rapidly to the point where it hurts lightly but her smile was still genuine despite the slight tinge of pain. “Yeah that would be great!“ She sounded so light and her voice even sounded a bit higher pitch than normal. Though and actually when she was happy that was its proper tone just proof that she wasn’t happy that often kind yes and trying to be upbeat yes but genuinely happy. Not really. The fact that anyone wanted to spend time with her, the fact of the two Of them were there for her man more than words could ever some up and there was that slight urge to get emotional again but instead she just settled into the bed a little more turning towards facing them and blushing slightly as she realize she had been kind of rude and sound off there for a moment. She didn’t know what to say though and she felt like they got onto her for apologizing too much not long ago as it was.

[Lexie]

If she had mentioned it Shade wouldn't have found her staring off rude at all. What was rude about someone simply sinking into their thoughts for a moment...? At her rather excited reaction Shade chuckled and strode over to grab the book. "Okay then." He said cheerfully as he opened it up, then he glanced up and smirked at her. "You want to see the Valley of the Moon?"

[Kimberly]

Kim chuckled. “Yes please!” True shit only heard him describe it and of course being a writer the one with the most poetic sounding name or at least mystical place in name only possibly but, that made her really want to see it obviously it wouldn’t hit any imagination that had come up and to her mind but… She lean forward eagerly as if trying to look through the book it’s self even though he hadn’t opened it to the page yet.

Shade smiled as she agreed to that and he flipped through the pages to find it, glancing at her and smirking in amusement as she leaned forward and tried to look at the book. He cast a glance at Hush who had moved towards the book too and so Shade decided to set it down on the bed and he also sat down as he continued flipping through until finally he arrived at the correct page, showing the so called Valley of the Moon, the expanse of dust and dirt and rock dotted with smooth boulders all around, like stars in the night sky maybe, just much bigger. "There we are. Feast your eyes on the majestic Valley of the Moon." Shade said jokingly.

[Kimberly]

Kim’s eyes twinkled in delight. “ not only do the rocks make it look like outer space but… It looks like you’re on the surface of the moon.“ There was a hushed awe in her voice. She had a different way of looking at things typically than most people and so to her what she was saying was wonderful. “It would be so amazing to walk on that I could totally imagine that I was on the moon pretending I have no gravity to hold me down.” She hadn’t meant to say that part aloud, but to only think it. So she instantly cleared her throat, embarrassedly and quickly added. “So, where did we leave off?“

[Lexie]

Shade raised a brow. "You reckon?" He took another look at it on the page. "I suppose, from this picture. When you're there though it feels more like a dusty desert with random boulders all over the place... I guess photos of places are always more flattering." He glanced at her what she said about being there and feeling able to pretend no gravity was holding her down and that made him smile. As she cleared his throat Shade blinked and jerked as well since he realised he might have been staring. "Uh, yeah, I think here." He said as he flipped through a few more pages, and then the group of them started to browse and read through the various locations and special parts of Argentina and the information provided about them, Shade likely giving his own personal opinion about a few things.

[Kimberly]

Kim was enthralled with everything she was learning very excited and enjoying every moment however eventually after looking through many pages hearing stories and asking a ton of questions she had started drifting off. Her body had still not fully recovered from what had happened and it truly was a miracle she was as good a shape as she was now. It was truly amazing that they had been there for her otherwise either she would not of made it or probably would still be in a coma.

She would apologize for getting sleepy however she was too sleepy to think about that sort of thing, so instead she had slowly started leaning back still looking and asking questions but her head drifted and she dozed off sitting up against her pillows. It really wasn’t uncommon for her to work or stay up to the point of utter exhaustion or she would pass out perhaps the two of them were finally going To be used to that about her sooner rather than later.

[Lexie]

Shade just kept talking and answering her questions until his throat became a little dry from all the talking. After Kim had been quiet for a while he commented something to her about one such thing, then, “Kim?” He turned to look at her and then went still as he saw her eyes were closed, and he realised Kim had fallen asleep. A slow smile spread across his face. He glanced up at Hush, who was still awake, but the younger boy was drowsy, so close to falling asleep as well as he gazed back at Shade through half closed eyes. A small smile on his face too. It did Shade’s heart good. He chuckled under his breath and shut the book, then got up carefully and placed it back on the table. He came over to Hush, who shifted as he approached and Shade smiled at him and ruffled his hair a little. “Come on buddy, let’s get some rest.” Hush gave him a look for what he did about his hair, then turned and took up a spot at the foot of the bed, curling up, which allowed him to be small enough to fit rather comfortably. Shade smiled down at him, then he shifted into a domestic cat, a ginger tabby. He jumped up onto the bed and curled up beside Hush, tucking his fluffy body against the younger boy for warmth and comfort.

Had the vague thought to make Hush have a nightmare but I don’t know if I want to ruin the cuteness... XD))

((she knows he has nightmares and it upsets her, it would be interesting if this scenario actually made it where he didn’t have nightmares where a feminine presence that was more kind and gentle actually helped offset that. As if something like a motherly presence exactly what he needed or I guess big sister I’m not sure how she would come off LOL))

Kim is breathing very deep and steady her body relaxed and it was strange, this little site normally three people would’ve been able to fit on this sort of hospital bed but because of the way Hush laid across at her feet she wasn’t even aware and Shade being able to turn into a small little cat made them fit all nice and snuggly.

At one point she woke it was uncertain if it was some noise in the hospital or what was more likely some strange dream that sometimes people would wake from and then go right back to sleep and she would have to but then she saw who was on the bed at her feet and smiled but sadly was too tired to take in much before she indeed drifted off having no recollection of a nightmare but her dreams certainly seem to improve after the most adorable site that had greeted her.

So much so that she wouldn’t wake until there was the sound of her voice announcing breakfast as they pulled in a cart holding breakfast for three, it would have scrambled eggs two bagels for the boys and for her crackers. Still not convinced that she was ready for the most difficult to swallow food but moving her up to something a little bit easier to swallow then bread. There was also meat, The boys would have bacon. She on the other hand seem to have gotten some sort of scrambled meat but it smelled very good. More than likely beef.

((Hmm it would probably take him a bit longer than this to get over it, though too late to do it now anyway XD I was more going to go on the idea that sleeping in a bed sets it off for him, since they don’t actually have a bed at Kim’s. But I suppose he’s not really sleeping properly on the bed and Shade is still there so it’s fine just say it doesn’t happen))

An early riser as he was, Shade got up well before the doctors arrived and moved off the bed, changing back to his human form. He didn’t exactly want it to be general knowledge that he was a shapeshifter after all. Hush has stayed curled up at the foot of the bed most of the night and Shade found himself smiling as he gazed at the younger boy. He had slept a little fitfully though and it did not take him long to stir after Shade had left his side. He glanced about warily before sitting up, casting a glance at the still sleeping Kim before decided to stay where he was so as not to disturb her. Breakfast came soon enough and Shade saw Kim was woken up by their arrival and he smiled softly. He thanked the doctors as they filed out after bringing in the breakfast before turning to Kim. “Good morning. How are you feeling?” Hush finally moved, shifting and swinging his legs over the side of the bed though he remained seated as he looked at Kim curiously.

Kim was still a little out of it apparently she had slept very heavy that last portion of the evening. But she smiled and nodded. “Thanks for the two of you I slept very well.“ Her voice was softer than normal, but she would easily be heard in the quiet room. “Well, it’s obvious which one is mine.” She chuckled softly. The. Looked at the pair again. “T-thank you.” She blushed as the stutter came, and had she the energy she would have quickly busied herself to mask the embarrassment. She didn’t stutter much, but apparently the sincerity of her gratitude helped.

Shade smiled as she said she slept well. "That's good." He sniffed in amusement, then reached over and grabbed her plate and moved t hand it to her. "Here you are Grandma," he said with a smirk, resuming the joke from before. Then his smile softened as she thanked him, well them, both of them. "Think nothing of it." He grinned and turned back to Hush and ruffled his hair yet again. This time Hush didn't take it sitting down. He batted at Shade's hand and glared at him. Shade chuckled and held his hands up in mock surrender.

Kim rolled her eyes at the ‘grandma’ comment. “Didn’t you ever hear the phrase respect your elders?“ She crossed her arms and pouted playfully. It was the only come back she could’ve thought of in the moment but a smile broke through the pout and then she shook her head watching the two of them. “Typical brothers...” she started to chuckle, but then stopped and closed her eyes as a wave of dizziness hit her pretty hard. Enough to make someone go off balance and had she been standing her knees probably would’ve wobble that she tried to keep her footing. Still nothing too severe compared to what it could’ve been. Dizziness was an expected side effect.

((Sorry, I’m really having a hard time thinking responses lately.))

“Oh many times.” Shade replied. “But you’re not an elder, that’s why it’s funny.” He said and grinned. It was quite amazing really, if he stopped and thought about it, he hadn’t felt so light in a long time... He chuckled at Hush and then at Kim’s comment and there was something that shone in his eyes in response to her referring to them as brothers. He hadn’t realised just how true it was... He was about to say something else but then noticed Kim jerk and he stiffened and approached her quickly, expression immediately shifting to one of concern. “Hey are you okay?” He asked her. Hush turned and looked at Kim worriedly for he thought she was supposed to be getting better.

((That’s okay. I know this seems a little curt like ‘come on just do it’ but really just trying to do what replies you can, get slowly back into it is what usually works))

Kim hissed a soft groan. “ i’m fine…“ The way she said it so strained probably wasn’t very convincing and that her eyes were still closed and seem to be turning into a migraine or something. “The doctor said headaches and migraines not to mention dizziness…“ She trailed off sort of leaving it for them to finish the sentence. “Like you said I just have to take it easy, it was a serious injury after all.” She didn’t open her eyes straight away but did force a smile on her lips that became more genuine when her eyes saw a pair looking at her with concern. She felt guilty, but at the same time at the good that anyone cared about her though she knew obviously by now they did, still it was something reaffirming that she was important to people. Anyone.

((You’re right. I’ve just had... it’s hard to explain. Lets just say emotional issues that made it where I slept a lot and had difficulty thinking in general))

Shade frowned and pursed his lips slightly, not exactly convinced that she was fine. "I suppose..." He commented when she said the doctors had mentioned she would likely still get dizziness and migraines, though it still worried him a little. He knew Kim wasn't a fan of the hospital but he might have preferred she stayed here for extra caution and safety, but then, he realised that was probably a little paranoid. Now who was the hypochondriac? He made sure to eye her pointedly when she finally opened her eyes. "Yes, I think taking it easy is definitely the sensible thing to do." He said to her and raised a brow.

Hush in turn, folded his arms and cocked his head as he looked at Kim, clearly in silent agreement with Shade.

((That sounds tough, hope you are doing better now girl!))

[Kimberly]

Kim of course wasn’t long later to open her eyes and so when she saw his expression she squirmed slightly seeming to know what he was getting at. She had a habit of pushing herself far too hard, but what did someone do when the only person they could count on was them self? And for the longest time that had been her reality, however now these two were here in her life so maybe she could actually rest.

However when hush joined in and stared at her with his arms crossed like that she held her hands up and surrender. “OK, OK I get it. I’ll take it easy.“ Yet a smile was with grill cross her lips now. I don’t like do they really care for her, but they were quite adamant that she start taking care of her self better. Her smile grew and it wasn’t too long later that the nurse came in to tell her she was being released and bringing her a bag for her to put her possessions in as well as a wheelchair because that was protocol not that she couldn’t walk out under her own power or anything.

Shade chuckled and a slow smile grew on Hush’s face at Kim’s surrender. Shade stepped forward and winked at Hush. “We’ll make sure she takes it easy won’t we Hush.” He said and smirked in Kim’s direction. That was when the nurse came in and Shade smiled at the announcement that Kim could finally be released. He asked if she needed him to help pack her possessions into the bag. Hush finally hopped off the bed and glanced between everyone.

[Kimberly]

Kim hung her head. “You make it sound like I need constant supervision.” Shaking her head from side to side, smirking as she did. She nodded at Shade’s offer. Pointing to the cabinet. There wasn’t much. Her normal clothing and whatever else she had on her at the time.

She wasn’t permitted to change into it since it wasn’t clean, but they gave her a hospital robe to cover her less than appealing hospital gown. Then they were helping her into the wheelchair. Asking if they needed to call a ride or not.

Shade raised a brow suggestively at her. “Maybe you do.” He said and smirked in amusement. Though his teasing was completely in contrast to his actions if immediately going to the cabinet and packing Kim’s belongings into the bag. Soon enough they were ready to go, and Shade had to admit he was just as eager to get out of this place as Kim and Hush probably were.

[Kimberly]

Kim didn’t get w chance to answer as who should arrive but the very man who brought her there. “I’ll take to from here. I’m her lift.” How he knew was a secret he would keep, but he just smirked at Kim’s stupefied expression. “Lets hurry before they change their minds.”

That was all Kim needed to here to nod. “Lets go.” All too quickly she was being wheeled through the halls and to the curb where a white suburban awaited them. Not his normal car. “Your wife’s?”

He grinned. “Yep! Lets get you home now.” He moved the chair expertly and instructed Kim to put her weight on him and do as he said helping her in. Then he would return the chair and get in himself. He really seemed smooth and proficient at all of this.

[Lexie]

Shade looked up in surprise at the arrival of Kim’s boss and was both taken aback and delighted. On the one hand he was surprised the man would go this far out of his way to help, but he was also glad that Kim had such a considerate and kind man as a boss because hell knew she deserved it. As such Shade was kind of left to his own devices and to look after Hush since the younger boy was eyeing the newcomer with his usual nervous wariness. Shade quickly followed as they headed out of the hospital and eventually to the awaiting car, watching in bewilderment as Kim’s boss rather easily got her into the car. As the man went to return the wheelchair Shade moved around the car and opened the door to get in the other side though found himself glancing at Hush who was hesitating and he smiled at his surrogate little brother. “It’s alright buddy it’s fine. This guy is nice. Come on.” He draped an arm reassuringly across Hush’s shoulders and coaxed him inside before him so he would be on the middle seat between him and Kim, since well it was the smallest seat and he was the smallest person. Shade got in after him and pulled the door shut. Hush sat huddled into himself and looking somewhat nervous but not terribly more than usual.

((I think it’s fine :-) so when we get them back to you want to do a time skip to where he and the detective do their thing or did you want to just gloss over there and get on towards the trial?))

Kim smiled at Hush, hopefully reassuring him and feeling a little bit bad that he was being forced to do so many things that made him so uncomfortable, true it could be good for a person to grow and be stretched but this is a lot in one day or one week. And considering everything he had been through it just seemed like a lot to ask of the poor guy. However she didn’t have the chance to think of something to say instead soon man was back in they were driving to her place. Which really wasn’t that far he didn’t drive too terribly fast, But not very slow either.

Before long they were back, right in front of her apartment. Her flat would be up a Waze but still there is no place like home. “I wanted to thank you-“

He waved his hand and smiled. “No need, you kiddos get inside and let me know if you need anything medicine or prescriptions will be covered by work, and your unpaid leave still. So take it vantage of it rest and maybe even have a little bit of fun and get paid for it.“ He winked and moved around to open the door for the car. Offering to help her out unless Sshade beat him to it.

Hush saw Kim’s smile but couldn’t bring himself to smile back. He was feeling too wary, and it wasn’t as if he smiled a whole lot as it was. But it was nothing against Kim. Shade didn’t see Kim’s attempt to reassure Hush and so only saw his discomfort. He wrapped an arm around the younger boy and hugged him a little closer.

But even he couldn’t deny the extent of the man’s kindness at his words to Kim. Shade looked up in surprise, and well he didn’t even have a chance to get of the car and make himself useful when the man was opening the door to the car and offering to help Kim out. Hush gasped and huddled a little more into Shade. Shade just quickly rubbed his arm comfortingly. “It’s alright buddy. He’s nice.” At Shade’s nod they got out of the car, joining Kim and her boss at the side as he helped her out. Hush remained behind Shade, staring warily at Kim’s boss. Perhaps he’d remember Shade mentioning he had a little brother, although they obviously looked completely different, What with Shade’s dark hair and caramel coloured skin, compared to Hush’s fair skin and light coloured hair.

Shade met the gaze of Kim’s boss. “There must be some way we can repay you for all this. Thank you so much for all the help...”

Kim was still feeling a bit lightheaded like someone had just slept too much one day and was trying to re-adjust to a new sleeping schedule. She watch the back-and-forth still just dumbfounded by everything he said, she didn’t know how to respond the gratitude was evident on her face but words seem to feel her and she was grateful that Shade had spoken up concerning someone ever paying him. She felt the same way!

The man just smirked and gave a slight grunt shaking his head. “Nothing for me, but you just take care of her make sure she gets well enough to get back to us soon, she’s one of her best waitresses and I’d like to see her return.“ He looked slightly concerned at the young man hiding behind him and just offered a warm smile. “I’ll be counting on you to Young Man to make sure She stay safe.” This voice was gentle and fatherly. Then he turned around and close the door of the car and move to get into the driver seat to leave beating them farewell and he wouldn’t stop unless they tried to make him otherwise he would leave. Letting them go inside.

[Lexie]

Shade pursed his lips a little as the man insisted on refusing repayment for his kindness. He didn’t feel right about this, he had to do something to repay the man... But well he could agree to fulfil that second promise. He glanced to Kim and smiled faintly. “You can bet I’ll make sure of that.” He said firmly but kindly. Then as the man addressed Hush in that kind, gentle way, Shade couldn’t help but smile, glancing at his surrogate younger brother to see his reaction.

Hush looked surprised and blinked at the man’s words, and though his expression remained nervous, it might have shifted just a little from fear to determination.

Unable to stop him Shade just nodded and bid the man farewell when he did so too, although he was frowning slightly to himself. He would find a way to repay the man, something of this extent couldn’t go unpaid... He would be happy to repay the man’s kindness.

[Kimberly]

It was just the sort of person this guy was, one could say he was a notorious do good or who liked racking up deeds of kindness mostly because he got bored with his life and he didn’t have a wife or kids to show love and affection to his life was his work helping to run his brothers business as the co-owner so it to his heart good to be able to help people I didn’t matter who they were or if he even really knew them.

Though it’s not to be mistaken that he’s a weak hearted person, Who is just a doormat never standing up for himself and giving all of his money away to anyone even if they don’t need it. He was smart and shrewd and also a Helion when it came to getting revenge on people who did wrong. Which they all may learn before long really just depended on how much trouble came around him.

((Foreshadowing perhaps? XD))

Kim shook her head from side to side still dazed and surprised but there is a slight smile on her lips she too didn’t like feeling like she owed someone she didn’t mind excepting kindness of course but… This had been extremely extravagant and that she wasn’t going to be paying for a penny of her hospital bills, which She was sure were more than likely astronomical especially when a patient stayed overnight more than once. Wasn’t like it was a hotel rate.

She grimaced slightly they’re not saying anything about it that migraine was coming back, followed by another way of dizziness. Not to mention she was feeling sore, she would need to start exercising or something because being in bed for as long as she had apparently had affected her stamina. She really had been in bed that long though, but it makes sense why she was so weak feeling. At least to her it didn’t.

[Lexie]

Shade looked to Kim and his expression immediately shifted to tender concern and he rested a hand on her shoulder, not even registering that it was perhaps surprising he was touching her, but then it was mostly alright when he instigated the touch. “Come on, let’s get upstairs and get you comfortable, you still need to rest. Come on now.” He said and gave her a smile, nodding in the direction of her apartments. “Come on Hush.” He called as he started to lead Kim inside.

[Kimberly]

After the way the two guys had already acted towards her about insisting she rest more and then add on top of that her boss or one of her bosses, Because technically she had two. She was going to cooperate not wanting to be trouble or a burden yet also wanting to get better so they can quit acting like she was at deaths door true that had actually been the case but it wasn’t how it was right now she was just still recovering that was all. So she followed doing her best to cooperate getting inside the apartment but making sure to look back and ensure not only her she was following but no one else was around watching. She didn’t know why she suddenly felt a little paranoid, But she did.

[Lexie]

Shade wasn’t that aware of Kim’s apparent paranoia. He just led the way back upstairs and to the apartment, and presuming he actually had the keys since Kim had been staying in hospital, he unlocked the door and let them in. “Are you hungry at all?” He asked as they walked in, heading straight for the kitchen, regardless of whether or not he expected her to want something. Hush scurried in after, heading straight for the couch where he sat before glancing about a little uncertainly.

[Kimberly]

Kim sighed softly. This place had become more of a home lately and it was good to be back in it. “A little...” She responded. “I’m going to get cleaned up.”
She felt scummy after not bathing properly at the hospital. She wanted to change into some more proper clothing too.

[Lexie]

Shade gave a nod and smiled at her. “Alright. You go have a shower if you want and I’ll prepare something for you to eat when you get out. Sound good?” He wanted to make sure he was doing what she wanted. “Anything in particular you feel like?” Shade asked as he opened up the fridge.

[Kimberly]

Kim smiled. “Thanks.” She fought the urge to protest, they were determined to make her rest and to help her, so she needed to let them. “Not really.” Well That wasn’t the full truth. “Not anything we have.” She clarified. “Anything is fine.” She didn’t have the luxury to be picky, they didn’t have the food she honestly wanted so, whatever they had worked.

[Lexie]

Shade was glad she didn’t protest. Though then he glanced to her and raised a brow as she mentioned she felt like nothing here. “Oh? What do you feel like then? Just satisfy my curiosity.” He said lightly with a shrug and a grin as if he was just being nosy. So hopefully she wouldn’t catch what he was really planning...

[Kimberly]

Kim had already started towards the bathroom and turned to look over her shoulder. “Pasta and ice cream.“ Her tone was laced with guilt. “Apparently I never stopped being 12 years old I guess you could call him I feel good foods.” Hopefully he didn’t think she meant combined. Because she didn’t clarify. She just made pasta for meal and ice cream for dessert she turned around about to go back towards the bathroom and paused once more but didn’t turn your face towards him. “And a mountain of cheese to go on top.“ She couldn’t help the slight chuckle as her mouth watered at the thought. In truth past was not an expensive food, the cheese more so but still not really very expensive she just didn’t usually spend money on groceries she was busy paying bills and saving up for the consultation with a detective that she had come here to see about her parents Murder.

Shade only grinned at her response. "Hey sounds good to me." He said in response to her comment about never having stopped being 12 years old. "Of course they're feel good foods." He agreed with a chuckle, light and supportive. Of course he realised she meant pasta for dinner and ice cream for dessert, having them together was just too extreme for anyone to assume... they'd have to see it to believe it. He looked back up as she added the bit about the mountain of cheese and he chuckled once again. "Of course. What pasta dish isn't complete without cheese?" His creator wouldn't know due to being dairy intolerant and would highly disagree due to never having liked cheese anyway but that seems to be the general consensus of everyone else she knows... Shade played it cool until Kim finally disappeared into the bathroom, then he darted to Hush with a grin. "Hold the fort okay Hush? I'm going to find some good old pasta and ice cream for Kim. Hell knows she deserves it. I'll be as quick as I can but you may have to stall buddy." And with that Shade suddenly shifted into a bird and took off out the window. There was no time to even go running down the stairs! He needed to return before Kim got out of the shower, he wanted it to be a surprise! He flew off searching for a supermarket as fast as he could.

Hush looked a little taken aback and bewildered but he didn't want to disappoint Shade so he headed to the hall and to a vantage point where he could monitor the bathroom door, though the idea of having to stall Kim was a little nerve wracking... what would he even do?

Kim took her time in the shower which was probably good for the two of them though still it was just a shower, she had to stop herself from singing several times thinking they might hear her but then she realized of the water running they probably couldn’t even tell very well and there was a song that got into her head and she just couldn’t help her self.

Hush being as close as he was would certainly hear her song and she actually had quite a nice voice. This particular song was just so special to her and it meant a lot though she didn’t hundred percent know why.

Hush lifted his head when he heard the voice, tentatively at first for he was unsure of what it was or what to do, but then the song started to carry to him clearly and... it made him relax. He glanced at the door and, started to smile as he listened to Kim's beautiful voice and the song.

Shade's thoughts rushed as he flew over the city. He only had a little bit of leftover money from his quick little stint of busking he'd done to buy the flowers for Kim. Would it be enough to buy pasta, cheese and ice cream? Wait maybe they had cheese back at the house, damn he'd forgotten to check. Oh well. There was surely some sort of cheap grocery store somewhere and Shade would eventually go there and that was where he bought everything. He bought the cheapest brand of ice cream and the cheapest grated cheese he could find. And his creator almost forgot he also needed some sort of pasta sauce, but they only had large jars of pasta sauce that were fairly expensive, but then a different idea came to mind. Shade bought a packet of already made pasta, for while he just didn't have enough for the sauce and the pasta separately, he had just enough for the packet that only served one person.

With that he exited the store. Then he grimaced, for he realised how was he going to get back in time...? He would have to transform into something that could fly and was large enough to carry the bags, but too many people would notice... He sighed and shook his head, and set off jogging with the bag in hand, as annoying as it was - have you ever tried to run with even just a single bag of groceries? It isn't fun. Eventually he thought damn it all and ducked into an alley to transform into the biggest dog there was, in the tall sense more so since he needed to hold the bag in his mouth above the ground; a Great Dane. Then he bolted the rest of the way back as fast as he could. He made it to the door of the apartment building, resumed his human form, threw open the door and sprinted up the stairs.

Shade rushed through the door, scaring the crap out of Hush yet again. Shade waved to him in a signal that it was all right before dumping the bag on the bench and rushing to empty the packet pasta into a container with whatever else was needed, hot water and milk which they surely had in the fridge, then he shoved it into the microwave. He put it on before reading the instructions and then read them and adjusted the timer as necessary. He quickly shoved the ice cream and the grated cheese in the fridge and threw the plastic bag in the bin so Kim wouldn't see it before leaning against the bench, struggling to get his breath back. He needed to play it cool when Kim came out. Hopefully she thought he was just prepping some random leftovers in the microwave.

Hush came over into the kitchen since all seemed fine and Shade looked to him and grinned. "When... She comes out..." He started to say in between his panting. "Take her... onto the couch and... keep her facing away from the kitchen... Read through a book with her or something. We want to surprise her." Despite Hush's nervousness, he too actually wanted to do something nice for Kim, so he finally gave a faint smile and nodded, scurrying back to the hallway to wait for Kim to emerge. It filled Shade with a burst of joy and he beamed.

Kim would have blushed feverishly had she known
anyone listened to her singing. She had people comment on how she didn’t sound like the people who sang the songs so that meant she was no good. So she pretty much only saying when she was in the shower or if she was really sad and all alone sometimes singing would help her feel better. She had tried to take in all kinds of tips and read a little bit of training it wasn’t that she wanted to be a professional singer but she enjoyed singing greatly. Almost as much as she enjoyed writing.

She brushed her teeth without toothpaste just because she remembered last minute that they would be eating soon and she didn’t want to have that nasty taste in her mouth but she still felt like she needed to brush her teeth then rinsing her mouth out she fixed her crazy frizzy curly hair as much as she could and smiled moving the stuff about opening the door. Her hair was nearly dry by this point and curling them tight ringlets around her face she almost look like a different person. She loved her hair did that without having to be styled or anything.

She stepped out to look around. That had been one the longest shower shit ever taken but all of her sore muscles felt so much better and she even did a little bit of stretching under the hot water as it needed her muscles.

As Kim emerged from the bathroom she would, perhaps to her surprise, immediately be greeted by a smiling Hush who turned and gestured for her to follow him as he scurried to the couch and plopped himself on the furthest cushion, so Kim would only have the option of the two where facing him would mean her back would be turned to Shade.

Shade hurriedly straightened at Kim's appearance before running a hand through his hair and clearing his throat, making sure to conceal his panting. He turned to get a plate from the cupboard for Kim's meal. "Be ready in a few minutes!" He called to Kim in what appeared to be his normal cheerful tone.

Hush grabbed the sign language book and seemed to look at Kim expectantly. It was probably quite funny the way these two were acting to anyone who might have been watching the entire scene play out, like a comedic play.
