1x1 Kim and Shade RP (+Hush)
Kim nodded. “True. But the great thing about stories is you can always make them work out sometimes a lot quicker than it happens in real life.“ She just wanted everything to work out right for them to be safe and not have to worry about these people in these people and groups like them to be stopped!“Really? Yeah that sounds great!” she was surprised that he of course would be so concerned about her, not that he wouldn’t care of course but… She supposed she would be surprised that anyone would be so concerned about her even the way Shade had been, would have shocked her. She just wasn’t used to it. Also she was honored he would even come here. “Are you sure he’s alright coming? I don’t want him to be uncomfortable...” She added as an afterthought.

He lightened up as she seemed happy about him getting Hush and then smiled gently at her concern for him. “He might be a little nervous in the hospital but once we’re in here he should be alright. I’ll make sure to ask him of course but I think he’ll want to come.” He stood up. “Alright want me to go now?”
Kim was a pretty positive person actually from time to time anyway and she smiled at him. It may not always work out like that in real life but I like to think that but enough people tonight for the same cause, and fight for good that things will work out even if it doesn’t go smoothly and maybe even takes longer than we would like to long as we don’t give up and there’s people who fight for what they believe and I think it always will work out!”She considers yourself more real less than an optimist but she considered that statement to be very realistic because anything that you put work and effort in anything you got multiple people to stand behind she would work, or how hard it would be as long as you never gave up on it it would work history has proven that time and time again for people struggle to stand against the odds for those who press them but didn’t give up eventually they were set free even if it was their great grandchildren who had to read the benefits. It was still worth fighting for!
In all honesty she wanted to say no to him leaving right now just because she didn’t want him to go down but since he was coming right back hopefully… She nodded. “OK, tell him I understand if he feels reluctant I don’t like hospitals myself that much either.“ She blushed at the admittance.

As Kim spoke Shade found himself smiling. She had such passion... And he felt her words could spark any saddened heart. “You’re right. Maybe it just takes longer and seems more difficult but if you just never give up, it’ll eventually happen. Hopefully...” he smirked crookedly. He then nodded as she told him that it was okay for Hush to be reluctant. “I’ll make sure he knows but I’m sure he’ll be fine.” He grinned at her. “Don’t worry I’ll be right back.” It was as if he could read her mind. “In fact I’ll turn info a bird and fly back to the apartment to get Hush.” He winked at her playfully before backing toward the door. “Don’t go anywhere.” He joked.
Kim chuckled and beamed at him. The way he spoke in a little joke about being a bird I couldn’t help but light in her heart, she was really lucky to have Shade in her life right now. He was so great! At his parting comment she gave a half laugh half scoff. “ I don’t know, I do have a full day ahead of me.” She joked and returned and waved goodbye as he left the smile lasted several minutes after he was gone though slowly begin to fade ever so slightly. Very selfish thought came to her mind and she mentally scolded her self.when we finally deal with these guys that go back home, but I won’t see them again...
However she knew it was wrong to feel sad about that, yes she would miss them but they would be with their family again, which is where they should’ve been to begin with. In true she never should’ve even met them because they should’ve been in the situation and as much as she was happy to have them and even if it would’ve cost her her life because no one would’ve been there she would’ve rather them never have gone through the horrors that they did.
She said of her self into the bed and decided to try and take a quick nap, mostly to make her blind stop thinking of these things because it was starting to make her upset.

Jobe of course had been unable to sleep she had been unconscious for over a day, she didn’t feel the need to sleep. At least not yet, so instead she laid there with her eyes closed for a long period and that was bothered by a nurse once or twice during the brief time he was gone so she gave it up and asked for more Jell-O having finish that it’s sitting everything at the side that was weird the two arrived. She smiled at Hush. “Hey, it’s good to see you.” Her sincerity was evident, she was really happy that he would come all this way just to see her. “I’m doing better, just a little out of it still.” Her eyes sparkled in delight. She knew it was a big deal for him to come.

And by some sort of miracle, Hush smiled as Kim said that she was doing okay. He looked relieved and he glanced at Shade as if sharing that relief with him. Shade had of course told Hush what had happened so Hush didn’t need to ask that, but he did start to sign something.
“Oh, here we go.” Shade said with a smirk as if Hush was a chatterbox and he gave the sign language book to Kim. “Have fun translating. It’s something to do at least.” He said with a shrug, that grin still on his face. Hush seemed to give Shade a look but kept on signing. As Kim translated, she would realise that Hush was saying ‘I am really glad you’re okay. I never got to properly thank you for all you have done for us and I am sorry for that. So, thank you.” Hush then seemed a little bashful, ducking his head and a few strands of his light brown hair fell into his eyes.
Kim signed back and spoke. “You’re welcome. I was just thinking, how blessed I was to have the two of you in my life.” She wasn’t fluid like an expert but she obviously knew sign language to some extent, she did reference the book several times to confirm what she was saying and what he was saying. Though she quickly looked at Shade. When I was a police officer there are situations where people who either only spoke sign language or spoke different languages or involved, that’s why I tried to learn as much Spanish sign language and bits and pieces of other languages as well. I’m not fluidity of them but I could speak a little.“ She blushed, smiling at sweet and cute Hush. “Would either of you like a cherry popsicle? I wanted to ask for one for me and wouldn’t mind having dessert with the two of you.“ She was signing and speaking even if Hush wasn’t looking. It was hell people and families with those who were deaf or communicated through sign language is communicated regularly. Her creator does this because she has a cousin who was born deaf.

Shade was surprised at how easily she did it too and then he smiled as Kim explained. “Ah, that makes sense. I was surprised at you knowing Spanish. I see.” He said with a grin. “Smart cookie you are.”
Hush glanced at Shade but still seemed to be thinking about what Kim had said, or well, signed...
Shade smirked as she asked if either of them wanted a cherry popsicle and he gave a shrug. “Sure if you’re getting them anyway. I don’t really mind. What about you Hush?”
Hush jolted and glanced at Shade as he asked, then ducked his head shyly and gave a shrug, though he appeared to be smiling faintly. He’d been staring at Kim as she signed while she spoke even though she must know she didn’t need to because Hush could hear her. He seemed to eye her for a moment and then, Hush glanced at his hand before holding it out towards Kim, palm sideways.
Shade looked and went stiff with surprise, then glanced between Hush and Kim before turning to Hush. “I think he’s... offering for you to shake his hand...” it might have seemed strange but, surely Kim would understand that Hush willingly allowing Kim to well... touch him in any way. That was something special. And clearly, Hush was showing that he trusted Kim, that he cared about her too. And that he saw her as a friend.
Kim probably did seems silly since he could of course hear her but it helped her to practice though she probably would forget now and then to sign as well as speak but when he extended his hand she was a bit perplexed at first, then turn towards Shade. Her heart seem to head lodged itself in her throat at what he said. She also felt the strong desire to cry. Though that would probably be a bad thing to do especially since boys seem to not like it when girls cried and didn’t know what to do with him so she force yourself not to as best as possible and smiled and took his hand gently. Not delicately like it was made of glass but not aggressive or firm just a casual handshake. “Thank you Hush.” She was very careful being sensitive to let go of his hand if it seem like he was finished with the handshake. She didn’t want to hold onto quickly but she also didn’t wanna let go too quickly. It was a huge thing, and even though at the same time she wanted to cry there was also this bubble of joy growing inside of her. Even though the moment was really happy in the back of her mind her heart broke, because the closer she got to these two the harder it would be to say goodbye.
Yet she wouldn’t trade any of these moments even to protect her own feelings. She was going to cherish each moment with them!

Shade smiled as he watched, a warm and fuzzy feeling in his chest. He was so happy, and so proud of Hush. And well, if anyone deserved his trust it was Kim, with how kind she was, and how much she had helped them. Clearly Hush had realised it too. Still smiling widely, Shade placed a hand on Hush’s shoulder and shook it in that playful brotherly sort of manner. “Kim will be out of here soon and then we can all stop worrying.” He said cheerfully, mostly to break the silence.
Kim likewise recognize that the moment was a little bit awkward but for once I didn’t seem to bother her, however out of consideration of everyone in the room she press the button the: nurse. “So three cherry popsicles.“ She grinned. A few minutes later the nurse came in and smiled at the company. “See you have some admirers.” Of course just because he was a nurse, didn’t make him any less manly. His deep voice was pretty obviously a baritone. Up a “what can I get for you?“ After Kim placed her order for the three desserts. He smirked knowingly. “Another glass of milk? For you?” He then glanced at the boys. “We have sodas, rootbear, orange, and sprite?” He offered.

The nurse smiled. “Sure thing! Be back in a bit.” He turned and strode out. Friendly as he had been every time he interacted with any of the patients on this floor though he was nice to everyone and every floor but this was the floor he worked on. It wasn’t long later that he returned but probably to all of their surprise he had three cherry popsicles the drinks that all of them had asked for and a little bit of popcorn he held his finger up to his lips. “Don’t tell anyone, I don’t really want us giving these to patients, but their hull-less, so no choking hazard.” He winked and laid the tray down. “ let me know if you need anything else.“ He looked at her vitals checked a few things so he wouldn’t have to come and bother them later to do the very same thing and unless they stopped up he would give a friendly wave and leave.

He’d gathered the popsicles and opened hers up for her and offered it to her. “Looks like you’re there favourite patient.” He joked, his tone amused. He handed Hush’s popsicle to him as well though let the younger boy open it himself after all he knew he wasn’t a little kid and he knew Hush didn’t like to be treated that way either. Hush tore open is popsicle slowly and started to eat it. An ice block was good for him actually even if he was feeling a little anxious.
Kim smiled, trying to hide her blush. And her past she had been treated very kindly by doctors and nurses and staff, she didn’t know why but she assumed that most of them were genuinely good people who like to make their patients happy or smile. Which was her creators experience as well as many times they would do kind sweet things like that.“Eggs…“ She excepted the popsicle and slowly begin to taste it. Enjoying that lovely cherry flavor. Cherry had to be her favorite flavor in the whole world! Or at least in the top five. She looked at the popcorn and couldn’t help :-) began shaking her head from side to side. “I have to admit that the sub pretty cute.“ She tentatively reached out and grab just a few pieces little bit nervous about eating it. But she popped it into her mouth and it pretty much dissolved instantly, and it tasted so good that lovely buttery taste.

Shade started eating his own popsicle before glancing at Kim as she spoke and he smiled and nodded in agreement though his creator isn’t exactly sure what Kim was saying... He then watched as she tried a piece of popcorn and curiously Shade leaned forward and picked one up himself. “What do these taste like?” He asked but the question was basically rhetorical as he popped it into his mouth.
((Oh man... I think this is going to get worse before gets better as I’m on the second antibiotic now and I think I’m even less with it than I was yesterday XD Thanks* and just that she smiled* Darn talk to text! LOl))Kim is utterly ashamed of her creator, who is still using talk to text when she shouldn’t because when you have the flu you sound even more difficult to understand. She only wanted to smile to think him and to state that the popcorn sounded really good. She couldn’t resist getting another handful of popcorn. The delicious butter wasn’t overpowering but nice and strong still. She looked over towards. Hush, and made sure to gesture with her hand. “Help yourself, it’s really good.“

Shade’s brows rose as he tasted the popcorn he hadn’t tasted anything of the sort and certainly not in years! “Wow, How do they make this?” He wondered amazedly and immediately went for more just like Kim did and he grinned at her like a little kid in a candy store as he jived more into his mouth. “They better watch out or I’m going to steal this.” He said, voice muffled from his mouth being full and he snorted in amusement and covered his mouth as he glanced back at Kim. Indeed he nodded in encouragement to Hush as Kim told him to help himself to the popcorn as well though Hush looked a little hesitant. He picked one up a little gingerly and seemed to eat it carefully, then looked a little startled as the popcorn dissolved in his mouth and it filled with the buttery taste. There was honestly no other word for it, it was pretty cute. It seemed that Hush liked it but he didn’t reach for another one, going back to eating his popsicle. Shade smiled faintly at him before turning back to Kim. “I think he might be feeling a little funny,” He of course meant anxious since they were in the hospital, an unfamiliar place for Hush and he was probably slightly uncomfortable. “And he gets a little funny with food when that happens. I’ll see if I can take some home for him.
Kim nodded. “ i’ve seen this stuff before but not this good somehow they puff the popcorn differently and it makes it where it doesn’t have those... popcorn skin kernel shell things that hurt your throat or make you gag. When he explained why he seem to only eat the one little bit she shook her head. “It’s fine, I have issues when it comes to eating myself.“ That’s all she said and she didn’t clarify, But thinking back perhaps he would notice a few odd behaviors when it came to her eating. And maybe one day she be willing to talk about it however doesn’t seem to be busy today at least not right now. “I’m sure that nurse would be more than willing to send a little bag home. He seems like a really nice guy, if he was a waiter he would get a big tip for me.” She was joking of course but being a waitress it was a perfect example.

Kim’s grin was from ear to ear she couldn’t of been happier, it was so enjoyable just talking with them and eating popcorn forgetting that she was in the hospital that all this serious stuff was going to happen sooner or later instead just getting lost in the moment. However as they say, time flies when you’re having fun and all too quickly they came to her room to bring dinner and to inform the guests that visiting hours were ending.Informing them to say their goodbyes and remind them when the hours would open again tomorrow. Though before they had a chance to fully leave they would hear another piece of good news, the doctor came in and with permission from her announced that she would be able to leave tomorrow afternoon. All of her test came back very good and they would just ask that she take it easy to not push herself too hard and that you check back with them next week.
However he made a point to look at shade when he talked about making sure she took it easy, whether he knew that she was the type of person not to take it easy or what he was probably used to those sorts of patients that didn’t like to be still or an occupied, after all even her creator was sick with the flu was going around doing work around her house though she justified it because she was cleaning to get rid of Dust and dirty laundry that she feared might have contaminants or bacteria on them so to her character would probably have similar logic that the work would benefit her in the long run.

Shade kind of let himself let loose and just relish the moment as well, being free and not worrying about anything. Even Hush sat just happily eating his popsicle and glancing between them as they talked and even occasionally signing things himself leaving Shade to hurriedly translate. Indeed it was all too soon when the nurse came and informed them they had to leave and though Shade made sure to pipe down as the nurse gave Kim her instructions for when she would be able to leave tomorrow, and he indeed raised a brow at her at the emphasis of taking it easy, his expression then sagged a little. “Come on can’t we stay a little longer...?” Shade asked. “Kim doesn’t like to be alone.” He didn’t exactly know how true it was he was sort of just saying it but maybe it would be quite true for Kim. “You won’t know we’re here.” He insisted, his tone soft and sincere he was really trying to sway them.
Kim looked at Shade a bit surprised. Him saying that, well it meant a lot. The fact that they didn’t want to leave... that they actually enjoyed being there with her and, well she didn’t want to be alone. “Actually... I don’t like being alone in a big place like this...” She admitted meekly, now suddenly seeming like a little scared girl. Ironically it wasn’t an act. She would be awake most of the night and jump at every noise once they left.
The nurse had looked like he was going to protest but sighed, softening at the looks on their faces. “Look... two options.” He spoke quietly. “You can hang another fifteen minutes, or you’ll have to stay the night in the room, but if you do you’re not gonna get a bed you’re only going to have the chairs here I can bring some blankets and pillows and you’ll have access to her bathroom but we can’t have anyone walking around. I could get in serious trouble if you go wandering around the hospital. So I’m going to go do for few more rounds and I’ll come back to find out what you decide.“ He really was a softy, and it wasn’t as if they never been to roll and let people stay overnight with a guest though they are usually in more Of a terminally ill state or unconscious like in a coma. He suppose that wasn’t really fair because she was awake and can actually appreciate their company even more. So unless they stopped him he would step out of the room and go keep busy and make an additional second stop back in her room when that 15 minutes was up to find out what they wanted to do.

Kim Stared after the nurse, biting her lower lip, but quickly busy at her mouth with taking a drink as the question was asked because she didn’t know how to respond. “That wouldn’t…“ She cleared her throat which despite drinking now still seemed dry and itchy. “ I would like it, but I understand…“ She didn’t want to stare at Hush, so she just looked at him and then back at Shade. “ if you would rather be somewhere more comfortable.“ And even though she hadn’t meant to and awkward nervous chuckle came out. She had been completely relaxed a few minutes ago, the idea of being alone in the hospital was nearly unbearable but she had already had so much help from both of them she really couldn’t ask them to do more!

Shade stared at him for a moment and then grinned. Though he still made sure to ask. “Hush are you sure you don’t mind staying here...? You know you don’t have to if you really don’t want to.”
But immediately Hush shook his head, then turned to Kim and signed, ‘I wouldn’t want to be alone either.’ He glanced back at Shade pointedly. And Shade just smiled, pride suddenly swelling in his chest as for some funny reason he just felt so proud of Hush.
Kims eyes teared up, as she smiled. Don’t cry... don’t cry... She signed back. Thank you. there was honestly more she wanted to say but she didn’t wanna say it out loud as if it would give it power and she didn’t have the ability to speak right at this moment which is why she signed it and didn’t say anything but it was probably more obvious to Hush, than Shade, since he was so close to her now. That she was trying not to cry her eyes were watering but they look to be happy tears, she was relieved. And moved by his consideration and kindness.It was only a few minutes later that the nurse returned and in his arms were pillows and blankets, he smiled no English, of course how do you been wrong he could’ve easily played it off something like he thought she could use some extra ones or something.

He tilted his head at her, almost as if he too was saying not to cry, and his smile was sympathetic. Shade glanced between them and then smirked widely. “Hey don’t you two go and start having private conversations without me!” He joke and then chuckled and Hush looked to him and smiled more. When the nurse arrived with the blankets Shade smiled and went to retrieve them. He wasn’t surprised the nurse knew what their answer would be. “We’ll take them, thanks.” Shade said with a nod to the nurse.

Kim chuckled, needing the laugh so she didn’t cry instead. “I don’t know it might be good practice and motivation to get you to learn it.“ She gave a playful conspiratorial wink to Hush. She needed this, a lightness happiness some humor. It was all very much needed right now.The nurse smiled, giving a deep chuckle and nodding to everyone gathered. “Good night all. Dinner will be by in just a bit.“ There is almost a mischievous nest in his grand which would leave one wondering what he had in store.

Shade looked between the two and scoffed in disbelief but then he couldn’t stop himself from grinning as his gaze lingered on Hush. The boy finally seemed not so scared. He then nodded to the nurse, looking at him in way that conveyed his gratitude. “Thanks a lot. Mister...” He craned his head to try and peer at the man’s name tag or something. He raised his brow a little at the man’s grin seemingly about something to do with dinner. Wow what was going to be next?
Hush suddenly coughed, raising a fist to cover his mouth. Shade glanced at him and then looked about. It was a little cool in here due to the air conditioning and if he was feeling the slight chill then Hush was probably cold. “Here buddy have the blanket.” He said and passed one of the warmer blankets to Hush.
Kim chuckled and coughed, taking a sip of her water. Which had been ice chips but melted.The Nurses tag red Barings He nodded and slipped away. The dinner was ‘special’ in that he was making sure to bring enough for three, and... well they needed to feed their patient carefully. So it wouldn’t be long before a car was wheeled in with three covered dishes. “We’ll collect them later.” His baritone voice reverberated once again as he bid the trio good night.
The dishes had, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese , pudding and hamburger meat finely ground, all food meant for easy swallowing.

“Well if you’re too good for the food.” Kim teased right back. She honestly didn’t like the way the food looked either. However they had told her why she would need food it would be very difficult to choke on because of the time she had gone without physical food going down her throat she needed to be extra careful until she adjusted to eating food again that was solid. “ besides the macaroni and cheese doesn’t look any different than normal.“ She supposed because it was already kind of hard to choke on.

Hush took some for himself and started digging into the macaroni and cheese. By the expression on his face he didn’t seem to love it either but just ate dutifully.
Kim laughed at Shade’s reaction, but she herself even made a face when she finally took a bite of her beef. “ I know I have teeth right?“ She joked but was also serious at the same time she stared at incredulously knowing that they were trying to be careful but maybe they were being a little too careful. Her reaction had been quite comical, and she even laughed at herself. Feeling silly. There was this lightness in the air and in her heart. It was nice having them here.

Kim tilted her head to the side she was an intelligent person and she had gone through school but just like any person sometimes you forgot what something meant, usually because you didn’t use it in every day talking. “Hypochondria?“ She was never afraid of really sounding stupid after all she had already been told it so many times wouldn’t exactly be a shock for someone to say it. Does she like Weiss finished off her food quite quickly though significantly slower Then the average person more than likely but for her it was quickly. Though she actually really like the macaroni and cheese and she loves mashed potatoes it was just the meat that kind of threw it off and putting she picked up the little cup opening it. “I always wish there’s like three or four of the years serving them out is never seems like enough.” She smiled as she dug her spoon and took a bite hers was chocolate vanilla swirl and it was so... good!

Kim chuckled and nodded. “Oh, the people who think they’re always getting sick when they meet other people who are sick, Or think a small bruise is turning into something off more serious sickness.” No she most certainly was not one of those but she was overly sympathetic at times and so when she saw people who had injuries or sicknesses she often felt bad in a similar location so never to the extremity but they felt it she was so empathetic it was as if she felt it which was a strange conundrum for her.

Hush was eating his dinner much slower, but soon he set it down, apparently finished, though he’d only eaten half of it. He glanced at Shade and screwed up his face a little and Shade could immediately tell he clearly wasn’t a fan of the food. “Yeah it’s not that nice, don’t worry about it.” He told the younger boy and took the plate and popped it over on the table so it was out of the way.
Kim nodded with a smile. “Yeah thanks.“ She glanced towards the window which was covered by curtains so she couldn’t see out of it, which was fine she wasn’t sure she wanted to see out at though she did want to see the sky she just said… Had to remind herself there was something outside of this room right now, why her mind would race like this jump around and make her start feeling anxious she didn’t know.

Hush shifted where he was sitting on the foot of the bed.
Shade then ended up glancing to where he'd left the book on the table and he looked to Kim and gestured to it with a nod of his head. "Hey did you maybe want to pick up where we left off last night with that book?"
Sounds a little sinister...))
Shade smiled faintly. “I’m glad he’s so eager to help. It’s exactly what’s needed.” He frowned deeply. “We need to stop that place.” He always had the thoughts, if he had been captured then it was possible for any of his siblings to be captured, Pedro, Enzo, fierce little Zaire, and then, tiny little Lela and Miguel. It made him sick. Or any other kid like Hush. He wouldn’t allow it to exist! He glanced up and managed to chuckle half heartedly at her comment about it being a story of hers and having a big showdown with the bad guys. “Unfortunately a showdown is not always the smartest way to go in real life.” He admitted. He then looked about and then glanced back to Kim. “Hey how about I duck out and go get Hush and bring him here. He’s been worried about you.” He suggested with a smile.
