Poor Shade, Was really in a fix, with her in this condition Kim ended up leaning on him her head going onto the shoulder eyes mostly closed. “Okay almost there...” The hospital was ahead though the way and was a bit of a screwy one, you had to go past it turn down a one-way street then turned onto another one way St. and finally you could get into it but then he would have to drive all the way around the parking lot to get to the part where he needed to get. His creator isn’t sure if it’s like that in other countries but in America it certainly is!

Shade jerked as Kim’s head came to rest on his shoulder and though it wasn’t as if it felt terrible he didn’t exactly feel very comfortable about it but he of course didn’t move he let Kim lean on him as she needed to. Even instinctively moved to grasp her wrist gently in his hand. He clenched his jaw in anticipation as they arrived at the hospital.

Kim sighed softly, seeming comforted at his holding of her wrist, something that grounded her to the moment, the hear and now. “Alright. Stay with her, I’ll get a wheel chair.” Adam parked under the emergency awning, in the loading zone. He jumped out moving fast for a guy of his girth. Returning quickly with the Wheelchair. “Lets get her in it.” He opened the door and with the passenger side seat folded forward it would be easier to get her out. Once she was out, he raced inside to get a doctor, normal someone would still have to wait, but he was sure to express how bad her condition was and they were worried they would lose her. A doctor was summoned.

((Lol, just felt like I kind a let you down I know you’re always cool with it but I posted for you to find out that I didn’t post LOL felt bad about that))Kim didn’t respond, she wasn’t unconscious but she wasn’t exactly focused either. She seem to be zoning in an out her eyes opening and closing repeatedly jerking open when they stopped or made a fast turn but then closing again almost immediately.
Security begin to gather but Adam backed them off as a doctor rushed over began checking her pulse feeling the temperature without even having to use a thermometer he listen to her heart rate his eyes widened and he called for some people to grab the wheelchair and take her back. He didn’t wait to see how the other two responded but bustled away. To take care of her.

Every muscle in Shade's body became as taut as the string of a bow at the appearance of security but thankfully Adam kept them at bay. Reluctantly he relinquished Kim to the examination of the doctor and then he felt his heart lurch at the doctor's expression before he ordered two doctors to rush Kim away and Shade felt like he wanted to run after them but realised he couldn't. He ended up shifting on his feet like a lost child, looking extremely worried. He looked about for Adam.
Adam heaved a sigh “ she’s in good hands call mom let’s fill out that paperwork together.“ Whether he had picked up on the fact that he might’ve had a bit of a hard time of the paperwork or just himself wasn’t going to leave and wanted to stay busy it was unclear however, He wanted to know what was wrong with her and get some answers and who knew how long it would take the doctor to give them.

Shade pursed his lips as Adam said Kim was in good hands. He certainly hoped so... He sighed as Adam said for them to fill out the paperwork tomorrow and followed the man as he went to retrieve it, already casting glanced in the direction where Kim had been wheeled away. As his eyes darted about he realised perhaps he should have changed his appearance coming in here, no matter how much people liked to say things had improved, he would have been less noticeable if he'd made himself fair skinned... Oh well too late now...
Fortunately for him even though this was England there were more than just fair skinned people, they were very dark skin people Americans and various other nationalities, and many ways England was a bit like America as you could find quite a few different cultures with that they were tourists or actual residence would be unclear unless maybe you heard them speak some of which might have a thick accent some of which not so much.Adam of course had no clue about the boys power so it was probably a good thing he didn’t change it was enough that Kim and the detective knew wasn’t something he should let everyone be aware of though the man was probably one of the most trustworthy ones that he had met this far. “All right full name… Kimberly Guardian.“ He began writing. “Age... 22, ethnicity? Um... American?” It was probably funny sounding but he hadn’t had to go to the doctor, ever. So filling out this kind of paperwork just wasn’t something he did he was one of those few people that have been blessed to not really get sick or seriously injured.
“Blood type... oh man... Do you know any of this?” He showed the document to Shade. The only thing he had filled out was her address name and age he knew the year of her birth because he knew her age roughly but he didn’t know the day or the month so he left that blank he knew her phone number and email that was pretty much it he knew none of her history relatives any of that. And maybe by looking at the document and everything it asked for Shade Might also understand even better now one of the reason she hadn’t wanted to come she was adopted. She couldn’t answer these questions herself.

((I don’t think so, but it’s very exhausting and stressful. It’s ridiculous at this very moment three different health issues... migraines, the surgery spot and the medication thing...))
Adam shook his head. “ it’s all right. Just fill out what we can and tell them she’ll have to fill out the rest when she’s able. She really is a secretive person isn’t she?“ And whether anyone had noticed that before and certainly wrong more true she didn’t talk a lot about herself unless prodded or feeling indebted to do so. She had only told him everything because he had told her so much and felt the need to be open and honest with someone who is being so open and honest with her and even then it might’ve come off as if she was keeping secrets.However it actually wouldn’t be more than an hour before a doctor approach them, you were the two gentlemen that brought the young lady in here, the one with the bad fever?“ He seemed uncertain because he never got her name or their’s.

The doctor looked very serious. “She stable.“ He looked around and nodded for them to follow. “Please this way.“ He wouldn’t say more until they were out of the main area. “I assume one of you is family or-““I’m her boss, she has no family. This is her roommate.“ Adams seem to take charge in the situation. “I need you to tell us everything I’ll be the one covering her bills and right now the two of us are the ones who are responsible for her care.“ He spoke as if he had a pretty good education and even followed up with a few legal jargon before the doctor seem to relent.
“She’s has obviously had a brain edema, some sort of Traumatic brain injury, i’m assuming based with the impact on the back her school. Her brain is swelling and working to get that under control fortunately her school is in fractured which is the biggest concern when it comes to brain swelling as pieces of fragments can go into the bloodstream and stop the fluid from flowing properly. However I whatever mercies, she seem to have only developed an intense swelling unfortunately it’s a large portion of her brain that is swelling. Intense fever delirium dizziness disorientation and sleepiness can be some of the signs you may have witnessed upon bringing her here. Now that we got her in her ovaries are vacation more able to watch her vitals as we work on reducing the swelling. Had the two of you not gotten here when you did though I would say she would not have survived the night.“

The Doctor did his best to maintain an amicable bedside manner. “There’s no way of knowing but I’m confident that she will have a full recovery. The hardest part will be tonight, like I said thanks to you to getting her here when you did she is much better condition. We have the best working with her and watching her. She’s unconscious right now it’s best for her to stay sedated until we get the swelling down. However if there’s anyone that she is close to…” He looked at the boys since they said roommate he had made an assumption that a roommate would probably be closer than someone’s boss. “If she has a close friend or someone that can visit her it might do good if someone were to speak with her while even in her unconscious state, I’ve had many patients read books or put on music and you’d be surprised at how powerful that has been to recover and patience.“ He found it helpful to give people things to do when it came to a severe injury like this made them busy and focus on doing things to help so they didn’t have as much time to worry. Worry was counterproductive focusing everything you had on the person you wanted to get well always benefited even in the worst case scenario is because it made those last moments all the more precious. Of course he wouldn’t dare say that out loud there was still a chance she wouldn’t make it to the night but I feel confident that they got to her in time to be able to make that difference.

Shade nodded, still looking worried as the doctor confessed that tonight would be the hardest night... And the thought of Kim sedated made him feel quite sad. Though then as the doctor mentioned someone close to her coming in to talk to her while she was unconscious and seemingly addressing it to him especially Shade felt his heart flutter and suddenly grew very nervous. The doctor made it sound like it was such an important thing... He inhaled a breath and pursed his lips tightly, his eyes averting to the floor as he seemed to descend deep into thought, so hesitant and so uncertain.
Adam didn’t know what to say because he didn’t know with the two of these peoples relationship was where they just friends, high school friends? She was so secretive about her private life and she didn’t really talk to anybody. Not that she was never talking but she was just more polite and friendly and not in the sharing sort of way. “But I can go visit with her for a bit perhaps you should get home and rest and maybe come see her later? Eh?” The kids seem nervous so I decided to give him an out whether he came to see her later would be his own decision. He didn’t want him to be alone during this. But he really doubt it is going to be any point in him trying to read or anything the fact was the girl didn’t seem to know anyone that well so there’s probably no point in going to all that effort no one‘s voice will probably mean that much. He wasn’t a negative person he was just realistic like that.((i’ll be going to bed soon can I go over all the Posten not sure how many more you might get from me ;-) LOL))

Shade glanced to Adam as he spoke and swallowed and cleared his throat. “Uh, yeah, I think I’ll come later.” He said. He kind of didn’t want the attention of all the doctors and maybe if he came later it would nullify that, also he needed to take care of Hush he wanted to see that the boy got his dinner and then maybe he’d come before they had to go to bed. He nodded in gratitude to Adam for his help.
“Be sure to keep that phone handy just in case. I’ll make sure they have both our numbers.“ He nodded reminding him to keep Kim’s cell phone on him. It was very important that they were able to communicate now more than ever. He offered to smile and wave to the boy going to see Kim and her recovery room. I really did hope she would be okay.((Hehe, i want to too, especially the Matthias one XD ))

Adam arched his brow. “Yeah, thats right. Want to pop in and just see her I’ll call you a cab so you can get back home.” He realize maybe it was because he had forgotten that he drove the guy and he would be stranded. Seeing as their apartment wasn’t in the best of neighborhoods though not the worst either he assumed that maybe it would be a bit expensive for them.((Nighty night! XD))

Adam nodded. “Sure thing!” Of course had he known about Hush he would have insisted that Shade go take care of him anyway. Even if Hush was old enough to be left alone, given what had happened to them there was nothing wrong with treating him like ones child.The Doctor looked a bit perplexed at all of their back and forth but lead them to Kim. “I will leave you two alone with her.” He had other patients to tend to, bur a nurse would be checking on her periodically anyway.
Kim was laying on a hospital bed. She had an IV in her wrist. A machine beeping it’s staccato, monitoring her heart, blood pressure and who knew what else. She had a mask on, helping her with breathing fresh oxygen. Her eyes twitching in her sleep.
Adam carefully walked in, as if afraid he would wake her. Then looked intently at her frail form. He couldn’t speak, this was such a horrible way to see anyone. Let alone a sweet kid like that. Of course to him everyone was a ‘kid’.

Adam found himself walking over to the girls side, taking a seat in a chair there. His stomach was knotting violently. He couldn’t bring himself to have a phone call so he sent a quick text to the cafe to have someone call a cab. He didn’t trust uber, lyft or any of those things. Could be serial killers. “H-hey... um, its Adam and...” He looked to Shade realizing he didn’t know the boys name.

Adam couldn’t help corking an eyebrow at the very unique name but whether it was a nickname or his real name it didn’t matter after all, they were people that name their children after sports teams. And he was named after the first man to ever sin in the Bible. So… Who is he to judge? “Yeah, shade and I are here. You’re in good hands. Don’t worry about anything it’s all taken care of you’re safe and we’re looking out for you.“ He was sincere but still slightly awkward and what he was saying because he really didn’t know what to say, he didn’t really believe anyone could hear them in their sleep but it was still possible and I kind of made him feel better to say something so he did it anyway.
((I know right? I One time had a car in the shop and they said that they would provide a ride back to my home so I didn’t have to make arrangements. I didn’t realize they were going to be calling one of those companies. Lyft I think… I was freaking out internally and planning as I got in the car how I would escape and what was a good way to fight if he tried to kidnap me. He was actually really nice but it was still incredibly awkward))

Adam had a knot in his throat. The kids seem so distraught and hurt but he knew the habit and inclination to blame oneself when stuff went wrong. “If she were awake she’d tell you it’s not your fault. The only person who should be sorry is the person who did this. It wasn’t for you being there, she may not of ever made it to this hospital. You saved her life.”He felt the vibration of his phone meaning he got a text and looked at it. “Your ride is on its way. It should be here in about five minutes.“ he wasn’t trying to rush them off just stating a fact.((Aww, poor Shade! *Hugs*))

Adam smiled warmly, though it wasn’t a toothy grin. His teeth were not the nicest to look at so he only gave closed mouth grins. “Glad to help. If you need a lift back just give me a call.. or text.” He nodded to his mobile. Knowing Shade still had Kims. ((Gonna message you about an idea, it’s two small ones, but maybe you’ll like them ^_^ ))

Adam smiled and waved his hand dismissively. “It’s what any decent person should do, I’m glad to help. And what small way I can. Like I said if you need anything give me a holler or a text.“ He winked in a good-natured way.((I just thought of something I will send you a message concerning it.))

Adam stuck with Kim for a while, not sure how long he should stay decided if he stayed a few hours or maybe until the boy came back if he came back. He really didn’t know how close of friends they were but based on how upset he was he assumed they were good friends.Normally he might’ve suggested that it was more out of concern for who was going to pay their half of the rent but given the genuineness of him he couldn’t even think that way.
While downstairs the cab arrived quite presently picked him up and went take him right back to the apartment also give them a card since he worked that area so we could call him directly if you needed another Lyft then I could go on the other man’s tab.
