1x1 Kim and Shade RP (+Hush)
Shade drew back a little as she stammered, wondering if she was daunted as well. “Sorry.” He probably didn’t need to say it but it just came out. He then shifted back to his plain normal form, thinking that was the issue. He then gave a shrug and offered the faintest smile. “Can turn into pretty much anything as long as it’s logical and I’ve seen a picture of it.” Really if he had seen an image of a person with wings on their back he was fine and able to shift into that himself, almost anything was possible. He studied Kim concernedly. “Come on we should get you home...” She needed treatment. “Or do you feel like you want to go to the hospital?”

Shade pursed his lips tightly as Kim insisted she was fine. Of course... Seeing her struggle to stand he very nearly reached out to try and support her but was sadly held back... He did shake his head though. “Kim you’re hurt, I’m sure your boss would understand right?” He asked softly. After all the guy let her take leftover food home so surely he was a pretty decent guy. He then tilted his head at her, wondering if logic would get them further. “Besides,” He raises a brow at her. “No offence, but I don’t think many customers will want a battered waitress serving them, don’t you think?” His expression then softened. “Come on lets just get you home you need to rest.”

Shade noticed her reaction and his own expression went slack. He held his hands up, feeling a pang in his chest at Kim's response. "H-hey Kim, I'm so sorry I didn't mean it like that. It was a... joke..." He realised in most ways it probably really wasn't very funny... He pursed his lips. "I'm sorry." Good lord what was wrong with him? But... at least she was finally agreeing. He nodded as she said she needed to tell them she was leaving, and looked on with surprise as she showed him how to knock. "Oh yeah, okay." He said, stooping down and grabbing the wrench in a smooth quick movement and then knocking on the door in the correct rhythm.

A moment later the cook was actually the one to answer the door towel in his hand as he pushed it open with his elbow. “What?“ He looked at the boy little confused it was a big guy he didn’t seem scared or anything they spotted Kim and hurried out the door. “What happened?“
Kim offered an awkward smile. “Just got jumped…“ Clear that she wasn’t going to say who had done it and what had happened, they got scared he didn’t need to press this any further. I would just cost trouble and they were bigger fish to fry so to speak. “I’m just gonna need to go home…“
“Anymore, do you need a ride?“ But he didn’t look to her when he asked the question he looked towards Shade. However he paused saying something glitter on the ground and that was an airing, very expensive your ring and he knew who it belonged to. Picked it up and clutched it in his hand carefully but said nothing of it, he was going to have a little talk with some people. He’s too didn’t need to know that though. “Wait here I’m going to get a break and someone can cover me I know your place is in FRS but I don’t think you should walk much.“ After all he was part owner and he knew where his employees lived he was found it funny how she would be there so early even though she lives so close people like that typically waited for the last minute to leave for work and would arrive just barely on time, but not her she had a good work ethic that one!
Shade took a step back as the door opened and the man entered, standing ever so slightly tensed in readiness but not in any threatening sort of way. Though Shade was a little taken aback when the man addressed him asking if they needed a ride and he stiffened slightly. “Uh, I don’t think so.” He stammered but then just farted a glance between Kim and the man. Then as he just instructed them to wait he looked uncertainly to Kim for confirmation.

Kim shook her head from side to side she was leaning against the wall and breathing a little bit Haveli, she didn’t have the strength to argue with anyone right now her head was pounding when she’ll feel the intense migraine want to mention she felt like she might throw up. “Great...” She mumbled. She knew this feeling, it was still too soon to tell completely but she had a sneaking suspicion she knew what was wrong with her right now. Considering what she just survived it wasn’t that big of a deal but it was a miserable thing to get through.
“ you can argue with him about anything, he’s too nice of a guy. Best one here on staff, there’s anyone that can be trusted it’s him. He won’t take no for an answer either specially when he’s trying to do something he feels is necessary.“ After that she just sort of went quiet just the talking make her head spin, yeah she was pretty sure she had a concussion I’m going to the doctor wouldn’t do any good anyway all they would say is you have to watch yourself as your sleep which was an oxymoron. Not usually make being woken up every few hours or so.
The next little bit a time was going to be a blast. She thought both sarcastically and bitterly.
((Oh my god not again it’s always that typo! XD))
Shade blinked bewilderedly and just shook his head. “Uh okay.” He then narrowed his eyes somewhat as he studied Kim concernedly. He so wanted to move to support her and he felt bad for not doing so but... He decided to nod firmly. “Well good then we can get you home and you can rest and recover as needed.” He stated. He took a step towards her, then, very hesitantly, reached out an arm and carefully draped it across her shoulders. He then lent against her ever so slightly to try and give her some support to lean on as she went quite and seemed to be in a pretty bad way. “It’ll be okay.” He murmured to her out of instinct, though he didn’t meet her gaze at the current moment.

A few pregnant moments with pass where Shade perhaps said something in response or not and then a small little Volkswagen bug drove through the narrow alleyway one of the few vehicles they could fit in that alleyway and he open the door moving so they could get in. His was a special little custom number he had the seat in the front folded down or more accurately backwards it almost seem like a bed, that was because even though he was a big guy and he had a small car he had found ways to make it where he could live in his car if he needed. Which there have been times he did or at least just needed a nap. “Alright, get in.” I was glad to see the other guy was helping her. “You sure you don’t need to go to a hospital, you’re bleeding.” He gestured to her neck, she hadn’t realized it but it was the back of her head that had busted, the blood was mostly dry but the back of her hair had quite a bit of blood in it and was now starting to look a little matted. More than likely from when her head hit the brick wall so hard which is also probably what caused the concussion.
Shade finally did turn his head towards her when she murmured about if he hadn’t been there... The corners of his mouth tugged and he relaxed ever so slightly as he let her lean against him. “Just doing what you would have done I’m sure.” He said softly in response. He then jerked his head up like a stag alert and protecting its herd when the car made its appearance but settled upon seeing it was the man having come to help. He moved forward, gently tugging Kim along to help her into the car. Then another burst of anger filled him as the man inquired about visiting the hospital and said Kim was bleeding and he looked though he couldn’t see the back of her head and neck from where he was but it made him mad all the same. He didn’t say anything and waited for Kim to give her response if she was able to.

The man didn’t say anything but nodded waiting for both of them to be in the car before carefully driving he drove slow Smoove but Swift, no wasted movements or motions and soon they were right in front of her apartment to set worst they could easily get out of the car without having to cross traffic. He let them do that and then held out a first aid kit from the restaurant. “Had a feeling should be stubborn maybe you can use that to help her fix it herself up. Don’t worry about your paycheck you’re gonna be compensated sick time.“
Shade helped Kim into the car, wincing at her groan of pain and feeling yet another pang in his chest. Presumably he sat in the back seat of the car, stiff as a board the whole time. Until finally they arrived and he helped Kim out of the car, then looked as the man feted the first aid kit. He finally met the man’s gaze and took it from him with a grateful nod. “Thank you.” He said softly before glancing to Kim and despite the situation a ghost of a smile touched his face as the man told Kim she’d be compensated for sick leave and he wanted to tell her ‘see it all worked out after all’.

“ you do now. Take as much time as you need to stay in touch though when you start to feel a bit better call let us know how you’re faring not there’s anything you need food medicine just let us know. You’re part of the family so don’t worry too much we look after our own.” Once they were out of the door and it closed he waved and took back off not running quickly but smoothly once again back to his job oh someone was going to pay it wasn’t going to be Kim though, that girl she was going to jail even if he had to take off a couple rich daddies and mommies to make it happen just because he worked in a diner didn’t mean he didn’t have friends and connections to people seem to forget 30+ years working in a place where people like to come to eat breakfast lunch and dinner helped you meet people.
Shade frowned in Kim’s direction but was immediately grateful for the man’s response and even more so as the man offered Kim anything she needed. “Thank you.” He said again to the man before he took off. “Come on then.” He said to Kim gently and started helping her up to her apartment.
((Seems so much like me haha I never ask for anything at work beyond my availability and actual job stuff like asking the manager what to do in some situations I literally just go to work and don’t want to draw much more attention to myself XD))

Sort of pain that almost made someone want to cut their own head off just to make it stop. Though of course that was insane, but it was a genuine thought and feeling she had. Needless to say it was a long and arduous track back up to her apartment and without him even as much as she’s used to pushing through she probably wouldn’t of made it but collapsed somewhere along the way if she had even made it back to her apartment at all.
((Haha Right? I can totally relate I always felt that it’s best not to ask for much unless you absolutely need it to function.
Last poster me tonight sweet dreams! <3))
((Definitely, hope you had sweet dreams!))
Somehow Shade managed to sidle up closer to Kim as they trekked up the stairs, doing all he could to support her as much as possible. When they finally made it to the door he knocked roughly then called. “Hush it’s us!” The door opened and Hush widened his eyes and backed off as he beheld the sight. Shade immediately got Kim over to the couch and perhaps a little unceremoniously helped her to lay upon it, or more likely collapse onto it. “What do you need Kim?” He immediately asked, bending down to be eye level with her as she got comfortable. “Ice? Anything else? Here we’ll make use of this first aid kit,” he said, already starting to open it up.

Kim was spent, she at one point felt very disoriented. However the world seemed to spin less once she was laying down. “Ah...” She tried to think of a response. “Um... antibacterial spray?” She asked if it was there, but didn’t seem to be speaking all the words. “On my legs... arms...bandages...” there came another wave a nausea. Her creator has had a mild concussion before, and knows just how miserable and out of it, one can feel.
“My head...” She had no clue what to do about the back of her head. “I, I should take a shower.” Hopefully Shade stopped her, because in this state someone is not the best decision maker, she would need someone to tell her not to do something. Now that the adrenaline was coming down, she was feeling the full affects of everything.
((Haha finished classes for the week so I don’t have any today. Only have classes Monday-Thursday))
Shade immediately nodded as he opened up the first aid kit and rummaged through it. It seemed there was only anti bacterial alcohol wipes rather than spray though. “There’s only wipes, is that okay?” He asked her. Then he balked for a moment as he realised... he should probably help her by cleaning her wounds and bandaging them up for her... Though he was saved from the nerve wracking thought momentarily at Kim’s somewhat foolish idea and if she tried to get up he would immediately stop her, pressing a hand down on her shoulder gently. “No, no you most certainly should not right now. Don’t worry about it. We can take care of it later when you’re better and out of the danger zone.” He might have said something like ‘didn’t matter about being dirty right now’ but after the way she reacted to his ‘battered waitress’ comment before he held it back. She clearly didn’t appreciate that kind of self-deprecating humour that he’d become used to...
((Ugh a concussion sounds no fun at all... I’m glad I’ve never had one...))

What was ironic is at the moment she wasn’t even sure where she was right now. So when she opened her eyes she was looking around as if trying to figure out something. If anyone looked closely at her eyes every pretty obvious something was off, Innoway she was partially right the shower would be a good way to clean off everything including glass and pieces of rock and whatever else Had gotten embedded in her skin particularly her knees. But it was the back of her head that was the worst of it.
((Very much not. I remember that I would be disoriented every time I woke up and that I was always confused and exhausted as if I hadn’t slept any.))
Shade simply shook his head again. "You don't need to clean up right now it doesn't matter." He told her. "Wait until you're feeling better." He didn't like how disoriented she looked right now and how her eyes darted about as if she didn't know where she was. He extracted the alcohol wipes from the first aid kit and looked to her, then tapped on the arm closest to him. "Where are you hurt on your arm here, hold it out and I'll clean it up." It was alright... It was only the wipe he had to touch her with, besides she needed help. It didn't matter if he was touching her like this...

Shade glanced up at her apologetically, feeling pity at how disoriented she was. He hoped this wouldn't last too long. He nodded as she said her elbow was hurt and if she allowed him he would take her arm and pull it towards him gently. He let her arm rest on the couch and turned it over to expose her grazed elbow where he started to wipe at the wound with the alcohol wipe. "Sorry if it stings." He warned her before doing so.
((want to time skip just till he does all the treatment?))
((want to time skip just till he does all the treatment?))

When he finally finished she would end up laying on her stomach because it hurt to lay any other way, she felt so sick to her stomach and he probably noticed that she kept taking micro naps even while he was doctoring her or she was falling asleep and waking up quickly. Even over the short period of time this took she seemed exhausted and gave a soft moan into the pillow she now laid on. Misery was at least lessened thanks to medicine that had some pain relief qualities to it though not enough.
((Yeah! ^_^ i’m going to do a partial glass over and if you want to add anything or if I need to edit it let me know
Also off to bed nighty night))
Shade jerked in reflex when Kim winced but likely she didn’t seem to pull away too much, so hesitantly, he continued his work, swallowing against a suddenly dry throat as it went on. He didn’t actually bother doing an extremely thorough job of the back of her head knowing the blood could just be washed off later it wasn’t like she was going anywhere and someone would see her, plus he wasn’t having much luck getting it out of her hair... When he was done he applied he medicine to the cut at the back of her head as needed. Then all was finished and Kim was lying on her stomach looking utterly miserable, and Shade pulled back and heaved a heavy sigh, feeling on edge and a little shaky. He cleared his throat, then pursed his lips as Kim moaned and he felt a huge wave of sympathy for her. “Do you need anything else?” He asked her softly. “Water?” It was about the only thing he thought was sensible to offer, food probably wouldn’t be the best thing right now.
The whole time Hush watched on with worry, for both his surrogate brother and the girl who had been so kind to the both of them.

((Sorry probably the only post you’re getting for me, I’ve been having horrible migraines again trying to figure out what I can do about them, taking medicine and unfortunately the soonest I can see a specialist has two weeks from now so trying to do the exercises my chiropractor gave me and whatever I can to lessen the pain.))
Shade nodded and immediately shot up to fetch her the glass of water, though he placed it on the coffee table as she requested medicine and he immediately took up the kit and searched through it. "Let's see..." He pursed his lips in sympathy for her as she said her head hurt. There seemed to be a medicine in there that was for pain relief. "This should do. Do you have a measuring cup?" He asked, looking about. He offered her the water while waiting for her answer.
((No worries and oh good lord you poor thing! Migraines are the worst I know how much they affect my mother, she is actually on beta blockers for them. I am super glad I have never experienced them... Feel better soon! <3 And ooh be careful with those exercises, sorry I know I don't have much experience in the matter, but I've always been a little apprehensive of the chiropractic practice. Best wishes for you!))

((Beta blockers? I’ve heard of that but I don’t really know where that is. Well in the past I hadn’t had good experience but with this current chiropractor I’ve had much better ones but it’s like all of a sudden the migraine started up with a new viciousness than before. Someone told me about these piercings you can do on your ear that actually are supposed to help with the migraines but since mine are related to my neck I don’t know if they will help and I’m kind of scared to do them because I’ve heard of people getting infections :-( I don’t have my ears pierced already as it is because the idea just bothers me LOL just the idea of purposely putting a hole in my body... XD ))
Shade grimaced. He didn't know how helpful that would be. "Do they say the amount of ml on the spoons?" He asked as he got up and headed to the kitchen to try and find them. "Which drawer?" Even though Kim had basically said this was his and Hush's house too it still felt a little rude to just go rummaging through all the drawers. Besides he felt that as bad as Kim felt maybe it was better to keep her talking though.
Hush had lowered himself to sit on the floor near Kim, and maybe Kim was too out of it to realise, but he seemed to be closer to her than he ever had been, by will and by himself at least.
((Bit hard to explain but basically but basically drugs can do one of two things they can either increase the production of a chemical/neurotransmitter in your body or they block reuptake of it so it stays and circulates in your body for linger, which is what beta blockers do. It's what most drugs for stuff like depression and anxiety do. Though mum is just on it because apparently it helps stop the hormones that cause her migraines.
So your current chiropractor is a good one?
Oh my gosh literal piercings? 1) how does that help and 2) just gosh! LOL I get you, I do have my ears pierced but they're literally the only thing I have pierced I would never go and get anything else done, mainly because of the pain lol just like I'd never get a tattoo I'm too much of a wuss XD))

((Oh wow! And yeah he’s really good, but these migraine neck-pain came out of left field. All was doing better not sure what happened...
Haha, well this explains some... https://www.healthline.com/health/mig...
Thoigh at this point after two weeks of off and on debilitating migraines, I’m about ready to try anything
You’re not a wuss! They hurt and in most cases are pointless, because as you age your body is always changing. Very few spots on the human body don’t stretch or alter which will make the tattoo warp. ))
Shade wasn’t in the best state himself. Now that he’d moved away from Kim he started to breathe heavily and rapidly and his hands were starting to tremble. He felt a wave of dizziness hit him and he gave a little groan and braced his hands on the kitchen top and lent over the sink, though hopefully Kim didn’t notice in her state. He felt like he wanted to throw up. He took in a few deep, calming breaths, and tried to focus on Kim’s words. He looked about and went through the drawers though admittedly it was a few before he found the right one, and he grabbed the spoon that had the measurement of ml because that was what he needed for the medicine. He walked slowly and deliberately so as not to be unsteady as he returned to Kim’s side. He swallowed before handing the bottle and the spoon to Hush. “You want to measure out ten ml for me buddy? We might have to use two spoonfuls.” He was grateful his voice came out a lot steadier than he felt.
Hush nodded and measured out the first spoonful of the medicine. But it was too much for Shade to expect him to crisply give it to Kim, which of course he hadn’t. Shade took it as carefully as he could and then offered it towards Kim. “Do you want to try and take it yourself or... want me to... give it straight to you...?” Now some sort of heat flushed to his face and it was almost overwhelming.

Shade pursed his lips concernedly as she struggled to get herself into an appropriate position and he hesitantly handed her the medicine, hoping she didn’t spill too much of it in her pitiful state. Not that he would blame her. “Kim are you sure you don’t want to go to the hospital...?” He finally murmured softly. For she seemed in such a bad way and he was getting increasingly worried.
Hush looked on worriedly too and cast a glance at Shade. He truly seemed worried about Kim’s wellbeing almost as much as he would worry for Shade’s.

((Oh yeah... I always forget it actually costs money to go to hospital in other countries.. that’s messed up...))
Shade was glad she got it to her mouth okay, and took the spoon to measure out the same amount again. He then pursed his lips at her words. “Right...” Though then he frowned at her other comment. “What...? Who might find you?” He murmured, his hackles suddenly rising for a reason he couldn’t explain.

Kim thanks to her current state was less inclined to withhold information or make excuses. “The people that killed my parents...” She mumbled. “ and the friends of the foster home people...” He would’ve heard some of this from earlier so he could understand but she hadn’t made it clear that she was still kind of in hiding even though she was in another country that was actually one of the main reason she was even more motivated to come to this other country not just looking for a famous the tectum to help her solve a crime but she was suspicious that people would come after her and it couldn’t hurt to be overly cautious now could it? Although in this situation maybe it would hurt
(($95? That doesn’t actually seem too bad? Or is it like per night or something?
I guess I don’t really know what actually happens all I do know is if you’re seriously hurt they will take you in the ambulance to hospital and you’ll get whatever treatment you need even if it’s surgery, but yeah i guess I don’t really know what happens after... if you have to pay for it or not but I kind of don’t think you do at least not all of it...
gosh that must be a little scary. Even though I hate medical stuff it always calms me when I know I can go to the hospital if something is very wrong. We live like 5 mins away from a hospital XD))
As Kim gave her answer, Shade frowned confusedly and cocked his head. It didn’t make much sense to him. “How... how would they find you?” He asked bewilderedly. “And aren’t they in America? Also how would going to a hospital enable them to find you?” Kim tended to back down when he tried to explain something logically, not that he was going to force her to go anywhere but... he was just worried. Maybe she was just super scared of hospitals and that was why she didn’t want to go...

Kim’s fear of hospitals wasn’t logical, just as her fear of any government institution wasn’t. “My DNA... my name... if it shows in a system...” It was a silly fear perhaps, but despite being a police officer back in America, she had started digging more before leaving, worry that they might know, come after her before she got close... She shivered, a few tears falling down her cheeks. Wether she liked it or not, she truly needed a hospital. Monitors and nurses that could look after her.
Her phone went off at this point. She turned and it fell
From her pocket to the floor. Thankfully it had a durable case so it didn’t break. Or get damaged however, it started ringing wildly the name of the man who gave him the ride because he had introduced himself on the car ride was on the screen underneath it said cook. Meaning that Kim had put him in her phone by his job as well At the café.
((Yeah I guess I don’t actually really know what happens. Might look into it more))
Shade looked on concernedly and just frowned. “You could give a fake name?” He suggested half heartedly with a shrug. But he supposed that people Cabot wouldn’t really work they’d probably ask for verification of identity. Though he became quite worried when he noticed tears fall down her cheeks. “Kim...?” He murmured but then he jumped as her phone started ringing and dropped to the floor. He quickly told her not to worry about it and that he would get it and he leaned forward and grabbed it, frowning a little as he realised who was ringing and he glanced to Kim as if for permission and presuming she showed it was alright he would answer the phone. “Hello?” He said hesitantly.

“Eh? Is this Kim’s phone? You that lad who was with her? How is she? I didn’t like her coloring and she seemed really out of it, is she better?” The voice was laced with genuine concern.
Despite his apprehension of most people Shade found himself almost smiling a little as he heard the man’s words and his clear genuine concern for Kim though he quickly became solemn again as he glanced at her. “To be honest she doesn’t seem to be doing too good, but we don’t have enough to go to a hospital...” he murmured worriedly.

The phone hung up not giving him a chance to say no in other words he be there in 10 minutes more than likely call when here arrived and see if he needed to come up.
((Bummer! I hate being at hospitals myself, well I’m home right now and I don’t have much on my plate so feel free to be messaging me and posting ;-) everything’s all right, right?))
((Haha thanks! XD Yeah just had to bring my grandmother down for a checkup after her hip replacement operation, going very well she is! XD))
Shade widened his eyes slightly and then the man hung up before he could even give an answer. He glanced at the phone bewilderedly. Good lord the man wasnt suggesting he pay for the whole thing now was he?! But well right now Kim needed help and he wasn’t about to refuse it she needed it whatever it took. So he turned back to Kim and hesitantly touched her shoulder gently. “Kim can you get up? We’re going down to the front of the building.” She looked half out of it and he wondered how much he would need to explain how much she would even comprehend. Though he felt terrible for thinking it, it might actually be easier if she wasn’t able to argue and he could just bring her along and get her the help she needed.

((Oh good! My mom had her knee replacement surgery today and everything went well with her, thank God all around :-) glad to hear all surgeries went well ^_^ ))
Shade just nodded grimly, then swallowed and became a little nervous because he thought he might have to carry her... But then thankfully she managed to get herself up but when she tried to stand she stumbled dangerously and he quickly lunged forward to grab her and then lent against her to support her, barely thinking now. He draped his arm across her shoulders and held her upright with his other hand and started to guide them to the door. “Hold the fort Hush.” He called back to his little brother over his shoulder and though Hush looked a little worried and like he wanted to help he sagged onto the couch and stayed put. It was quite a difficult trek but Shade eventually managed to help Kim get all the way downstairs and out to the front of the building.

Fortunately by the time he got there the familiar car wasn’t what was there however, it was another vehicle a larger one but the same man who drove the tiny car Got out and open the doors for the two of them to get into the backseat. “Borrowed my brothers car, hospitals not far.” He looked at the girl worried Lee, not liking how she looked. What exactly had happened in that fight?
Shad suddenly realised what kind of beat was emanating off of Kim and he grew increasingly more worried. She definitely needed hospital he didn’t care what she said. He snapped his head up to see the man approaching and despite any misgivings he helped to get Kim into the car. “She’s starting to get a bad fever I don’t like it.” He murmured to the man before bundling Kim into the car and then getting in along with her.

((Hehe, yep I’m a sucker for blue XD))
