Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) ((you’re fine! It was me who messed up -*Hugs*

Besides I’m about to have to go to bed anyway I didn’t get enough sleep last night I want to try and get more tonight LOL))

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) ((On second thought, i’m gonna go with this post, typically she wouldn’t hug him but I can say from her lack of sleep the emotional state she was still recovering from she might not of thought through her actions, I will psot in a bot so don’t worry about editing (-; ))

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim was in the shower before she realized what she had done. She hugged him... at last waking up thanks to the nice invigorating cleanse. She felt like she might get sick. Not because she was disturbed that she hugged him, but because she knew why he wouldn’t of liked that. now the tears threatened to come again for a whole new reason. Her legs grow shaky before she knew it she was kneeling in the bottom of her shower breathing heavily. If she was crying there’s no way to know thanks to the constant stream of water. She considered calling in today, she wasn’t sure how much she could stomach at work but then staying here with Hush... she wasn’t sure she had been left alone with him for any length of time and she couldn’t do that to the poor young man. She would just have to apologize to Shade.

Getting out brushing her hair putting the lotion on dressing, she didn’t wear make up so she didn’t have anything to try and hide any residual puffiness or darkness under her eyes. At last she came out of the shower her hands folded in front of her her head down. “Shade?” She asked tentatively. Daring to lift her gaze to look around. She really wanted to apologize but he may not of still been there in the room. What if he left already? Wanted to get away from her and just left? It wasn’t a rational thought but it was something she genuinely feared.

Shade shook himself off and went to get some cereal for Hush’s breakfast. He wasn’t shaky exactly, but his hands did end up being a little unsteady, and he spilled the milk the tiniest bit. He huffed in annoyance before he quickly took Hush’s bowl of cereal to him in the bedroom, then left him in peace to try and eat and gather himself to face the day. Shade returned and quickly wiped up the spilled milk with a dishcloth, then not sure what to do with it afterward, he chuckled it into the sink. He then grabbed something for himself for breakfast out of the fridge and was in the process of preparing it when Kim came out looking for him. He lifted his head and looked in her direction. “Yeah?” For some reason his heart gave a little flutter. Nervousness? Why?

message 508: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim flinched ever so slightly at his response, not because she was afraid of him, but... because she felt so guilty. “I... I wanted to apologize...” She shook her head and looked at him more fully. “I’m sorry for... what I did. It was not proper, I shouldn’t have...” Oh good Lord she couldn’t even think of what to say, maybe she should have rehearsed this first!

message 509: by Lexie (new)

Lexie | 756 comments Mod
Her flinch was slight enough that Shade didn’t quite notice it. As she said she wanted to apologise though at first he was a little confused, but he wasn’t silly and he knew Kim wasn’t either. So he picked up what she was getting at. His shoulders sagged and he folded his arms a little tightly to his chest. “Do you mean for the uh... hug?” He asked, suddenly feeling the heat of awkwardness flush through his face.

message 510: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim rub the back of her neck just out of the need to do something with her body. Her hips starting to sway a little bit on the spot like a little girl who needed to use the bathroom. “ yeah…“ She stammered the single word as if it was very difficult. “I shouldn’t of... without asking I mean... and...” She exhaled sharply. She helped her face was not as red as she was imagining because of the intensity of the heat she felt in her cheeks one would’ve thought her head was on fire. “It was inconsiderate.”She really couldn’t find a way to make anything sound good. “I didn’t think...” She at last settled on, wondering if he would be angry or continually be awkward with her now.

message 511: by Lexie (new)

Lexie | 756 comments Mod
Shade’s mouth twitched and his eyes darted. This was incredibly awkward for him too... Not that he was mad at her, and he wanted her to know that, but... it hadn’t exactly been something he was ready for. “It... It’s okay. You probably weren’t... thinking you have to ask since, after all usually people don’t. And, that’s all you meant to do and you meant no harm so...” He gave a heavy shrug of his shoulders and then lifted his gaze to her, trying to give her a reassuring look. “It’s okay, really. I-I’m not mad or anything.” He shifted on his feet and folded his arms tightly once again.

message 512: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim felt worse despite his attempts to make her feel better. “Right, but... I won’t do that again...” She promised and, with all of this. She had no appetite. Or more accurately she couldn’t of eaten anything either her stomach would’ve been too upset or her throat too tight. “I should go ahead and get to the diner. Do you know what time your appointment is with the detective see you later.“ She moves swiftly for the door not running but pretty darn close to it she needed to get away from the situation.

message 513: by Lexie (new)

Lexie | 756 comments Mod
“Mm.” Shade grunted softly in response. He found, he didn’t exactly immediately want to say, ‘yes make sure you don’t’ or even ‘yeah please don’t’ or anything like that... Like one might expect him to say. He then took a step back, surprised and taken aback. “Uh, w-wait Kim!” He called quickly as she practically raced away. “N-no I don’t know... what time it is. And...” He turned fully in her direction and clasped his hands nervously. “I... I was hoping you’d... be with me when I... have to go...”

message 514: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim was almost halfway out the door before she stopped, it really wasn’t very mature of her to want to run away from anything awkward or emotional but it was her survival instinct and the keeping of her sanity. She tensed and nodded. “Right… I just, I assumed..” assumed what, he wouldn’t want her around for another annoying and awkward conversation? She took her hand off the door and very slightly and quietly closed it leaning against it. “It’s about two hours from now, so my shift starts in an hour so if we go together, you’d have to hang around the diner for an hour...” .

message 515: by Lexie (new)

Lexie | 756 comments Mod
Shade pursed his lips awkwardly but then managed to cock his head in a seemingly humorous manner. “You assumed... I knew the time. You never exactly told me.” He said in a light, but weak tone. And of course he wasn’t correct in seeing what Kim was trying to say. As she said he’d have to hang around the diner for an hour if he went with her now he thought about it for a moment, then finally let out a sigh. “Um, yeah okay. I’ll just... meet you there then.” He supposed he still needed to get ready, and perhaps brace himself for it, better doing it here than there. Plus he wanted to make sure Hush was fine before having to leave him alone.

message 516: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim nodded. Feeling worse on the inside now as if she had done something bad. “Yeah sorry about that…“ She managed a slight chuckle as she spoke, really wanting things to be lighter and less intense. As he seem to agree she nodded once again. “ Alrighty then, I’ll see you there.” She waved and this goodbye hopefully sounded more kind, but the second she was out the door, that sick feeling became almost Unbearable.

Walking out of the apartments and on to the street, She decided she would just hurry to work, Maybe they would let her start early. She needed to do something to keep her mind occupied, to stop feeling emotional and upset. Stupid... you just made things bad... he’s grateful, thats why he held back. Had you been anyone else... The mental berating continued the whole way to the diner and sadly as she prepared for her shift and even when she started her shift.

message 517: by Lexie (new)

“Uh, goodbye.” Shade stammered in the slightest as Kim left through the door. He sighed, now suddenly feeling disoriented and just... bad. But he just tried to focus on eating his breakfast and then going to check on Hush. He then changed in to what seemed to be the best of the bey limited clothes he had right now to meet the detective - still probably pretty dismal - and braces himself for when the time came to leave, keeping Hush company.

message 518: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim was surprised when the detective arrived early spotted her but didn’t approach her however when another waitress went to tend to him he shook his head and insisted it was her. The other waitress was a bit confused but the customer is always right so she did switch a table with Kim. “What can I get you?“ Voice was soft a little tense. Thankfully he didn’t try and make weird chitchat but placed an order for some breakfast bacon eggs toast and a cuppa coffee. Then as if he didn’t know her he spoke. “ by the way I’m expecting to meet someone here could you direct him towards me?“

Kim nodded and slip away to go get his order she was regretting having to put Shade through this, but at least he seemed more sober hopefully he was gentle in this topic it was a very sensitive subject after all and Kim hadn’t made it any better how she acted this morning she brought him his food and kept casting where he glances towards the door even though there was a bell that would alert them to any new arrivals.

((good night going to bed early having to get up at 5 AM tomorrow LOL yay! ;-) XD ))

Shade sighed. It was time to leave. He turned his head to eye Hush. “Are you going to be alright here on your own bud?”

Hush seemed to give him a bit of a look but then smiled reassuringly and nodded.

Shade still felt reluctant, but he knew the boy was no baby. He just worried something would happen while he wasn’t here to protect him... Or... if something happened to him and then he couldn’t protect Hush anymore because of that. But he tried to shake those thoughts away. He was meeting a police officer right, if anything, he would be able to stop something from happening. Right...?

“Alright. Remember, just come running to the diner if you need me.” Shade told him, then hesitated, wanting to linger until Hush looked at him pointedly. Finally he sighed as he exited the bedroom but then paced the living room before leaving. His stomach was churning. He sucked in a breath and then blew it out slowly, before finally pushing his way through the door and locking it behind him as he left the apartment. He made his way to the dinner, feeling everything rising and bubbling to the surface. It was an effort not to go running somewhere. He swallowed against a suddenly dry throat as he finally opened the door of the diner and strode in. For all his anguish on the inside, he actually looked fairly composed on the outside, and at least that was something.

((Are you playing the detective or we just going to skim over it?))

message 520: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim’s heart leapt into her throat at the sight of Shade. She hurried over to him with a smile acting. After all she was a waitress this could be completely normal. “You must be the one the gentleman is waiting for.” She almost made it sound like she didn’t even know him, she wasn’t doing that to be rude but she didn’t want there to be any connection to them even in the most elusive means. “This way please.“ As long as he followed she would guide him to the table have him sit down take an order for a drink and then vanish.

The selective had watch this whole time but made it look like he wasn’t. “Thank you for agreeing to meet with me.“ His voice was soft, but strong. Almost authoritative yet gentle. The sort of person used to being a boss of himself more then others. He treated all with respect, But he preferred to work alone.

((sorry for the delay, haven’t been feeling very good. Figuring out why now LOL foods I need to avoid because apparently I have some sort of food allergy to them, yay XD to answer your question both. I’ll play him but I figured we’d mostly skim over all that stuff just whatever is really important and needs to be said.))

((No worries at all gosh if anything I was just worried about you personally! And seriously don't even worry I've been so busy I have barely even noticed, uni is already kicking into high gear and its killing me... XO This is the first spare time I've had in the day out of today and yesterday and I have work in a few hours anyway XD))

Shade stiffened and went rod-straight upon seeing Kim but then at her interaction with him he forced himself to relax, realising he shouldn't be letting on that they knew each other. He pursed his lips and just gave a tight nod in response before he realised he probably should make a verbal answer. "Uh, yes, thank you." He said quickly and followed as she directed him to the man he was meeting. Shade inhaled sharply as he beheld the man, a knife of tense apprehension suddenly slicing its way into his chest. Maybe it was because of the knowledge of what they were going to talk about, what the man knew since Kim had informed him she'd showed him the voice recordings, or maybe it was the attitude towards police he'd developed recently. No, I can't think like that. Shade set his mouth in a tight line and sat down stiffly. He almost jumped when the man addressed him, thanking him for meeting up and honestly Shade was already surprised. He wasn't sure how to respond. "Uh, right, thanks." He blinked and shook his head. Were you supposed to thank someone for thanking you? Shade cleared his throat, wringing his hands and glancing about the diner. "We're... we're not going to talk right here are we?" He asked hesitantly. He had been expecting somewhere a little more private, not in mostly open space, where someone could listen in if they came close enough...

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim, had she been sitting down would’ve been on the edge of her seat. The tension in the room was so thick she nearly ran into it on the way to the kitchen. However she managed to weave around the counters get the drink in return with the food. She had also been told to bring him something when he arrived it was a burger and fries. She set them both down. “Enjoy.“ Her tone was kind and melodic. If there was one thing she was good at it was being friendly to all the guests. She truly did enjoy helping people and so that made this job actually good for her.

The detective shook his head from side to side. “Hearing your voice I’ve already heard all of that information.“ In other words he confirmed that the voice match the recordings, which was all he needed on that part. “I hope you can understand my reluctance. I’ve heard many people make up stories of all sorts of crimes, but I always insist to meet them face-to-face. Have them look me in the eye and tell me everything I’ve heard is true, and all of the recordings. And what your friend had said.“ He didn’t gesture towards her he made the very slightest of glances her way.

Open parentheses(oh boy! I wish there were someway I could help! *Hugs*))

((Eh it’s fine it’s not too bad. On the plus side it’s rekindled my interest in exploring certain issues XD My obsession with C-PTSD has become a thing again XD))

Shade jolted in surprise when Kim came back with the food. “Uh, thanks.” He said jerkily in response, then felt bad for how he was treating Kim so inadequately and he kicked himself inwardly. At the detective’s implicit referral to the voice recordings Shade immediately tensed and averted his gaze, clenching his fist. He felt as if his flesh was crawling. He then glanced back up at the detective’s other words and though he inevitably was a little offended at the assumption of someone making up crimes of this nature and he frowned deeply. “I find myself doubting someone would make up something like that and insist it happened to them, considering everything it implies and causes...” All the shame, everything, why in the world would someone make that up? But, he supposed the man had to cover his bases, so he didn’t seem extremely hostile and he tried to loosen his bunched shoulders. Brow still furrowed, he glared down at the table, idly tracing a finger about the wood. “It’s true... I can offer to show you the place if you want...” Sure it wasn’t exactly ‘in the eye’, but maybe that would only add to the authenticity of what had been shared.

message 524: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) “You would be surprised, I’ve had people report some pretty horrible things supposedly that happened to them self or others and them not be remotely true. And then I’ve heard plenty of other things, I played a role in stopping a sex trafficking ring between here and America. So please don’t think I take any of this lightly.“ His tone wasn’t hard but it was deadly serious.

However he couldn’t school his expression from showing shock when he offered to take him. That would be more than he could’ve possibly asked for he would’ve assumed a victim wouldn’t want to go back though someone determined to close them down word. “Aren’t you worried about being recognized?“ It wasn’t a condescending question it was a concerned one.

That someone would so willingly go back to that place even with the detective either showed an intense desire to stop these people, or the kid had a way of doing it without being seen. However this could be the break you needed, those two guys he was holding done every single thing and more and he could prove it he would make sure that they went away for the rest of their life and everyone of their buddies went down with them!

Shade’s brows raised. He could barely understand why someone would fake something like that. As the man told him he’d stopped a sex trafficking ring previously from here to America Shade widened his eyes somewhat and then immediately shook his head. “Oh no I... didn’t mean that.” He finally glanced back up at the man to glean his reaction and saw his shock. As he asked if he was worried about being recognised Shade tilted his head slightly. “I can make sure I’m not recognised.” He said, then, he suddenly changed his hair and eye colour, from black to blonde and brown to blue respectively, but only in the blink of an eye so one would have to really be watching to catch it, but to the detective it would obviously reveal that Shade was a shape shifter, and since they could transform into any animal, it seemed perfectly logical they could transform into any kind of human form they wished as well. Shade straightened, his form back to normal, wringing his hands. “I thought perhaps I could... show you the way as an animal or something...” He swallowed. “Your best bet is to probably try and go undercover as a client. Maybe get... the evidence you need.”

message 528: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) The detective stared eyes widening but only slightly, he kept his expression school though inwardly he was hardly believing what he was saying. He had seen some pretty astonishing things but this one took the cake. However he took things in stride as usual and the idea of shutting down an organization that he just learned about like this? Yeah he was willing to take any kind of leap of faith necessary to make it happen. “Think it’s a great idea. If you’re willing, that would be the best way possible. Thanks to the voice memos and your friend, I can get a judge to give me a warrant. So that anything I find is admissible in court. With that information we could push this case a lot quicker motivation of stopping crimes currently in progress.“

his Australian accent came through thicker at this moment. Though Kim had already noticed it earlier this would probably be the first time Shade would hear it so clearly. He sounded incredibly excited, but even though he was restrained and not very loud about it the excitement was obviously a passionate desire to stop these people. He was a good man, they had a daughter and a son. His wife unfortunately had passed away due to an illness, but his sister helped him raise the children and the thought that anyone would take a child take a person from their home and do such horrible things to them... slight anger powered by the desire to avenge all of the cries gone on heard would be his driving charge!

((just so you know I’m basing him off of a character for one of my books. And I’m horrible at writing accents unfortunately because he was supposed to be Australian but I don’t really know how to write an accent :-( ))

((Ohh awesome! And HAHA! Aussie yay XD See thing is even I think it's hard to write an Australian accent because it doesn't really have its own sound to it, in my opinion, it's not like Russian where they roll their R's and emphasise their L's and T's. And we share a lot of things with the British like with how we say can't - you know like in the HP films. But we're not as... Idk... Slow and emphasising with our words. But I'd say if anything we're just very... casual XD Maybe look up some videos of Australian accents, but not actors because sometimes they fake it and they just sound... weird, look up some actual Australians or like game shows and stuff.))

Shade looked tense but he did immediately nod. Of course he was willing, if it meant shutting them down, making sure they couldn't do this to people like him, children like Hush, ever again. Shade pursed his lips and reached forward for a chip, through he didn't eat it, sort of just idly played with it instead. "When you can go forward with it, just let me know I guess." He said softly. He glanced up when he heard what could have been excitement and passion in the man's voice, and his apprehension eased ever so slightly. It seemed this man really wanted to put a stop to this too...

message 531: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) ((Haha yeah! I actually found this aussie girl teaching about the accent, she describes it as ‘chewing the vowels’ and that like you said more casual. The most stereotypical one is the old ‘G’day Mate!’))

The Detective nodded. “I can make it work as soon as I get the warrant. I want to make sure any evidence will be admissible in court. I will need to list you as an ‘informant’, so your identity can be protected, but at the final round of the case you may be required to come forward... though I’ll try to make it unnecessary.” He needed to get this going and with the possibilities of this kid changing his appearance, it was endless. “What’s the best way to reach you? Through your ‘friends’ email?” He was careful never to say her name, but it was unclear why.

Kim struggled to read their lips so didn’t really figure out much of what they said. She bussed, waited on and served as many as possible. Though being sure to stop by that table, refill drinks, offer to go bags/boxes and such.

message 532: by Lexie (new)

Lexie | 756 comments Mod
Shade nodded at the detective’s statement and was fine with being listed as an informant. He flexed his hand and curled it into a fist but his gaze remained hard and determined. “I’m willing to come forward... if I have to.” He murmured. As he asked for the best way to reach him Shade nodded at his suggestion. “Yes that’s probably the only way to reach me. Or through my friend’s phone.” He said, just in case he needed to tell them something urgently. He glanced up warily at the detective, meeting his gaze. “Thank you... for this...”

message 533: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) The man shook his head slowly. “Don’t thank me yet, thank me once the SOB’s are behind bars.” And he didn’t actually see the curse word he said the acronym. Just because he had been through a lot seen a lot experienced a lot didn’t mean he let himself indulgent too much profanity. No he wasn’t completely innocent on that front either. Typically when he got really angry… Or maybe had a little too much to drink and got angry. “ I don’t blame you for maybe not having an appetite meals on me though so feel free to take it to go mustard anything you’d like to tell me what color short meeting today.“ He had a lot of work to do but he also didn’t want to rush off if the kid had something else he wanted to tell him or warn him or anything.

He couldn’t help thinking how many other young kids we’re getting their lives ruined how many more innocent people were just getting up ducted? They needed to be stopped and now! He wouldn’t be getting a lot of sleep for a while not until this case was closed and the scumbags were behind bars rotting.

message 534: by Lexie (new)

Lexie | 756 comments Mod
Despite himself, a hint of a smile reached Shade’s lips as the detective said the acronym instead of actually swearing. He nodded, he indeed didn’t have much of an appetite though looked up in surprise when the man said he would pay. “Oh, th-thank you.” He said, a little shocked. “What was your name again? If you... want to say.” He realised maybe the detective needed to protect himself or something as well, but maybe just a first name would do. His fingers tapped in a pattern on the table as the man asked if there was anything else he wanted to say, he clenched his jaw tightly. “We just... we have to stop them.” His gaze lifted to the man’s. “They don’t just take people like me... They take... children as well. There was this boy I was close to... He was just 14... and they...” Shade trailed off and left it at that. He didn’t want to mention Hush by name or even nickname, but at the same time he wanted this man to know...

message 535: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) The detective smirked, maybe was a habit as well that when he was around his kids he wanted to set a proper example not teach them to just habitually curse, so that was possibly another thing. “Just call me Spade.” Indeed he made a habit of not letting his name down to many people but only for his own protection but for the protection of his family and any case he worked on. “ so you can tell your friend she’s welcome to give you my real name out of ear shot of public” he didn’t mind the kid knowing it was a good thing that he knew actually, but he also didn’t want to say it out loud he’s been purposely avoiding any names maybe he really was suspicious of everyone but he figured better safe than sorry.

Spade stood and as the young man spoke his stomach clenched tightly, the outward reaction would appear subtle but it was evident how sickened he was but beyond that, how angry. “I won’t rest until they go down. I give my word.” He gave him a nod, then turned to leave. “Stay safe, you two will be crucial to all of this working.. and they know that.” He warned. Tossing down quite a large tip along with the bill cost, waved towards Kim, tipped his hat and unless someone stopped him he would leave, walking away is before picking up his phone and calling in a favor or three.

((Ah sorry!!!))

Shade gave a nod as the detective said to call him Spade, but he could have Kim tell him his real name later. Smart. As the man gave his work that he wouldn’t stop until they went down, Shade gazed at him gratefully and dipped his head in a nod hat conveyed more than words ever would. He frowned and his mouth formed a tight line as the man warned him to be safe, and for Kim as well, because they were crucial. “Right...” He murmured grimly. He then nodded in farewell as the man tipped his hat and made his exit. Shade glanced about for Kim, wondering what she wanted him to do? Did he just leave straight away too? Head back to the apartment? Should he head straight there though? What if there was someone... unsavoury watching?

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) ((You’re fine! Also hope you don’t mind that I make this happen now ^^ ))

Kim had been working and she waved politely to the detective and anyone else who happened to be waving back at her since people never knew who was waving at who in the world. Hopefully she just came off as incredibly friendly getting warm smiles and finishing her tables. One of the waitresses said that there was someone that wanted to speak to her out back. Said it was urgent. Kim frowned but nodded she moved into the kitchen where the back door was she didn’t see anyone outside and she wasn’t stupid enough to go into an alley alone.

Why the dumpsters had to be out there she didn’t know, back alley that was dangerous in any city. Won’t she wasn’t going out there, she didn’t see them through the crack then they must’ve left. Anyone who knew her new that they should just come up to the front. With a shake of her head she move to turn around and suddenly was tackled through the door that had not yet fully closed.

Kim landed hard on her side, skidding along broken glass and rocks groaning. She had instinctively shielded her face with her hands which meant that her arms and elbows received the worst of it.

“I told you ‘B*+<#! You think I’m gonna ket you steal my shift?” The familiar voice of her coworker the one who had been hassling her on her cell phone drew closer and Kim perceive she was walking towards her instinctively she took out her legs moving them to trip up the girl sending her falling hard landing on her back. Unfortunately for Kim the girl wasn’t alone.

Before Kim could look up quick enough for massive hand took a fistful of her hair and pulled her up by it. For she would know what was happening she was dangling by her hair, feet not touching the ground as two more guys walked up. she could not afford to get grabbed, they were all stronger than her.

She reached one hand up bending the other guy‘s thumb backwards as she move to try and hit him in the throat with her leg, unfortunately she underestimated just how tall he was and had him across the chest but she did get him the Lego grabbing onto his arm and pushing off of him. Knocking the behemoth off balance, but her freedom was short-lived as the other one tackled her heart into the stone wall of the alleyway opposite the restaurant exit.

“Real manly it takes three of you?” Kim grumbled and she slid down the wall, she was hurt. Nothing was broke she didn’t think, she was having a hard time getting her breath so they probably bruised her ribs.

The three-man sneered as they march closer to loom over her. She was in trouble, big time. So if there’s one thing you didn’t do it she didn’t corner a wild animal, and Kim in a moment of desperation even as a police officer had been accused of acting like a wild animal. She clod, bit kicked screamed crawled did whatever she thought she had to try and get them To leave her alone. Certainly putting up a fight, and making quite a bit of noise. Sadly despite her faith in humanity, anyone that heard it seem to just be ignoring it. At least as they passed by the alleyway in the kitchen was probably too loud for anyone who was a friend to hear it

((You’re fine! Also hope you don’t mind that I make this happen now ^^ ))

((Wait so is there a girl and three men so in total four people? And how is Shade going to realise what’s happening he’s not going to be able to go out back?))

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) ((Yes, and you could have him have courage to ask a waitress and she would tell him that Kim took a break, out back))

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) ((Yes outside, the back alleyway where the business dumpsters are. XD yes he’d have to go out the front, then he’d surely hear the commotion.))

((Ohh ok got it XD))

Upon looking for Kim Shade realised he couldn’t find her. He pursed his lips, suddenly feeling quite apprehensive and on edge, a strange twisting in his gut... Another waitress walked past and Shade sucked in a breath and then quickly called her over. “Um, excuse me? Where is the waitress that was serving us before? I believe her name was Kim.” Most waitresses told customers their names after all right? He was still going on the act that he didn’t know Kim. The other girl told him she thought she’d seen Kim go out the back probably for a break and then moved on to another table bidding for her attention. Shade glanced in the direction she’d gestured. If Kim was on break then perhaps he could quickly chat with her. He checked the money he detective had left was enough to pay and then got up and headed for the front door, exiting the diner but then immediately turning on his heel and making his way around the building towards the back. As soon as he emerged into the alleys though he heard the screams. Inhaling sharply Shade sprinted the rest of the way and whirled around the corner, widening his eyes at the sight that greeted him. The three men crowding upon Kim. “Hey!” He shouted, rage lacing his tone as he approached. “Get away from her!”

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) “Back off short stuff, mind your own buisness!” The biggest one grumbled, not even bothering to look at the person trying to interfere more than just a small casual plants, what was funny was it wouldn’t matter how tall shade was, this guy was a behemoth. He reached down to grab Kim by the throat and puller vertically along the wall, while one of the other three moved to glare down this kid who approached.

The other guy was helping up a girl Who stood up dusting her self off and with the most prissy attitude one could imagine begin to tell off the guy about how she didn’t need help and that he needed to get back to his job. Threatening to call her boyfriend if the three of them didn’t finish what she told him to start. She wasn’t going to have them killed a girl, she didn’t need that kind of attention but she wanted To make sure she was taught a lesson. And she relayed as much to him saying that he better make sure she has a bloody nose and a blackeye before the hours up.

Then she gave a snooty glance towards Shade. “ like you said, stay out of our business. She owes me and I come to collect.” She glared evilly. It was well known that she was actually the daughter of a very wealthy man, a very connected man and no one ever dared questioning her. The reason she had this job was to prove that she could be responsible even though she blew it off 50% of the time which was the reason Kim would get the shift she preferred the late shift because it let her indulge in her partying lifestyle better. However every now and then she was a little too hung over or something and needed the colon. I didn’t give the girl an excuse to try and steal it was hers!

A flame of rage ignited in Shade’s chest upon seeing the man drag Kim along the wall like that, even though outwardly he only raised a brow. Then he shifted. It was a favourite form amongst him and all his siblings, a form that allowed to him to still completely be themselves but allowed them even more fun. Because mostly all it did was give them wings. Their mother had read and showed to them, books of a race of winged humans, like angels with the wings of dragons, that surely had existed at some point or another, the same as vampires and such managed to exist in this world. He couldn’t quite replicate their probably limitless strength, but he was able to make himself taller, way taller, and the strength filled his body as muscle grew, though not to make him super bulky, just until his body was basically hard as stone, and he even loomed over the behemoth man. Shade grabbed the man who approached him and tried to glare him down by the shirt and then flung him away like a rag doll. It was even less of an effort than he might have expected in this form. Then he switched his gaze back to the man who was hurting Kim and stalked forward, the monstrous wings on his back unfurling to full extension. He cocked his head at the man as he looked down at him. “Short stuff huh?” He said, allowing his mouth to quirk, then shot out a hand to rip his grip off of Kim. He then grabbed him by the shirt and chucked him away as well, not throwing him quite as high as the other man but still pushing him hard into the opposite brick wall. He didn’t want to cause them too much damage though, not beyond what could be explained by any typical brawl, which was why he chose this form over something like a tiger or other animal. Assuming the one remaining guy was still near the other girl and somewhat away from Kim, Shade moved in front of her, wings still outstretched and practically blocking her completely from view as he stood in front of her protectively. He turned his gaze on the girl in particular now. “I highly doubt Kim owes you anything,” He growled. “And if it’s money she owes you, then well then be civil about it. Charge interest.” Despite his threatening growl, his voice took on a smooth, business like tone. His conman voice.

((Oh, and if you want you can maybe even choose the colour of Shade’s wings, perhaps they very coincidentally take up Kim’s favourite colour ;) ))

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim choked and gagged as the man clinched her throat tightly she was still hurt pretty bad and couldn’t manage to even kick him off despite her struggles.

She missed the one guy getting tossed about like he was an old sack of potatoes, but she didn’t miss the one who had her being forced to drop her, she landed on her little feet clutching her throat and gasping for air she couldn’t stay standing though and ended up falling back against the wall. She heard the sounds of the first man running away and the second one well… he was paralyzed in fear eyes wide staring as if he had seen a Demon come up from hell itself!

The girl shrieked, hiding behind the only man. “Never mind! She can have the stupid shift, I quit!” With that she should have the other man towards the winged monster and tore off.

The other man stumbled forward, but caught himself and turned and ran to the big guy who actually was his brother helped him up and urged him to run off with him in another direction from the other two.

Kim stared, eyes half open in the way a tired person might. She was awake, but having her air cut off and the way she got hit a couple times had her close to losing consciousness more than once. However she was too captivated by the pair of those giant cobalt wings. An astonishing shade of blue. The others found them terrifying she found them utterly beautiful. She had always loved stories of dragons Angels phoenixes unicorns and the all the other ancient protectors some real some imaginary she assumed.

((You’re fine! And haha, Love it! Yes, sounds great!))

Well that was even easier than he might have anticipated. He watched in satisfaction and amusement as even the behemoth man stared in wide eyed fear and then took off along with the others, including the girl who had seemed to be the ringleader of all this. Whether it was on some strange instinct of this form or just the remnants of his anger anyway, Shade almost quite literally growled after the retreating figures, the rumble coming from deep in his throat. Then he caught himself and cleared his throat, suddenly feeling a little awkward. He shoved it down and spun around to Kim, stopping down towards her. “Kim are you alright?!” He asked urgently. Focused on her as he was he didn’t yet lower his wings or change his form in any way.

((Haha somehow I knew it would be blue! XD))
