Am I the only one who will forever be on Team Gale?

I am a huge fan of the Hunger Games, both the books and the movies. I always get mad when people ask if I’m Team Peeta or Team Gale. This is because when I say Team Gale, they ask if I’ve read the books. Yes. I have. 4 times, to be exact. I have stuck with him all the way. I will always be on Team Gale, and here’s why:
1) Gale knew Katniss better than anyone else, including her family.
2) He loves Katniss, even though the only way to get her attention is to be in pain. It’s kind of sad, because they’re best friends.
3) He didn’t kill Prim, and there’s proof. The first proven theory is that Snow set a pod right under Prim. He said that the capital didn’t bomb her, and that was true. Pods and bombs are different. Another theory is that Coin sent Prim out, because she knew she would be killed. Gale wouldn’t have killed Prim; she’s like a sister to him.
4) His nickname for Katniss is adorable. All of you “Team Peeta” fans have to think about the fact that “the Boy with the Bread” has no cute nickname for his future wife.
5) He never leaves Katniss’ side. All throughout the books and the movies he and Katniss are inseparable.
6) He didn’t volunteer for Peeta at the reaping so he could take care of Katniss’ family. The reason for this was, if Katniss ever came home, to keep them (and her) safe from the dangers of the Capital.
7) All of “Everthorne’s” kisses were real, meaningful. In comparison, all of Katniss and Peeta’s kisses were to save their lives(at least to Katniss.) The way Katniss describes Gale’s kisses is much different than Peeta’s.
8) While Peeta was baking bread, Gale was saving Katniss’ life. He was even willing to take a beating, hovering near death, for her.
9) He supports Katniss as a female leader, always by her side, ready to help her whenever needed. He loves Katniss, but he also respects that she knows how to lead by herself.
10) He is willing to save Peeta to make Katniss happy. He went to rescue Peeta, even when he could’ve been killed.
Also, as an afterthought, I don’t have anything against Team Peeta supporters. Most of my friends are on Team Peeta. Though I’m not Team Peeta, I am on team Josh Hutcherson, so I see what you’re thinking, at least in the movies. I will always be Team Gale.

Oh my god, i finally found you guys!
Everybody goes on and on and on about Peeta but they overlook Gale. Gale was there with Katniss at every step of her life. I am TEAM GALE all the way!

i think the moment gala started making weapons i knew he will not end with katiness .
look gala is some one i like in the books i loved both him and peeta and i cant think of a better opposites .
but
1-while gala knew her personally . peeta knew here in a much deeper level .
peeta knew here potential and effect on others before anyone , he believed in her .
2- the fact he let his love go and accepted being friends in the 2nd book shows katiness was the one who picked him not the other way around .
3- katiness was the one seeking peeta not peeta seeking katiness .
4- i think when peeta gave her the pearl i knew kisses and affection wont win over that or the bread or the way he tried to protect her over and over again . peeta had a lot going on for him .
5- at the end of the book katiness saw peeta plant roses he did not give her pain or got her attention bc of pain .
he gave her happiness , hope something warm
6-i think both peeta and gala can be great friends gala saved him and i think peeta would have let katiness go for him

ex: like the pearl in the peach , the bread , planting roses , the cake he made for annie and finnk weeding , the paintings , the onion roses he picked . the way he talks about his fav color or his eyelashes she never talked about gala that way or how sleeping with him in the train helped . how he saved D13 by warning them . or how she noticed he is a well smooth speaker . i think she enjoyed his way of talking and his funny self .

I liked Peeta, but I like Gale more.

What bothered me was the fact that Katniss just pushed Gale away. Yes, she has all the right to be mad, because of Gale, Prim is dead. First of all, Prim's death wasn't Gale's fault. He only invented the bomb, he didn't release it. Also, Katniss approved the bomb, so it is equally her fault.
Katniss I think forgot how much Gale has done for her family. Katniss is who she is because of Gale. When Katniss was in the games, Gale continued to feed her family even though Katniss was on live TV kissing another guy.
Gale was always the one to step up, always helping others. Gale is honestly the underrated hero of the story, so even though Prim died, if it wasn't for Gale, she would have never made it that far.
I am still upset that after the bomb blew up, Katniss just pushed Gale away. After all this guy has done for you for the past 11ish years, you just push him away? After a few years, Katniss probably should have sent him a treating card or something, to at least check upon him. Okay, i totally agree with you! Plus, I also just feel like Gale is just a better fit for Katniss than Peeta. Alot of Katniss and Peeta's relationship is fake, whike Gale and Katniss truly love eachother!

I feel like Peeta was just to emotional and mushy for katniss! Gale was the right amount of serious.

1: he was able to wait for her , before the games, during the games, and he helped her.
2: he understood everything for her as he went through the game himself. It's honestly sad how Petta had no one to help him but he helped everyone else.
3: He would truly do anything for Katniss even if it was risking his own life. He genuinely could not live without her.
4: Petta volunteered for Haymitch to be with Katniss in the quarter quell and to keep her alive.
5: He was able to fall in love with her twice even after the capitol took him
6: Katniss had to somewhat force herself into loving gale (this one is hard to explain for me)
7: and after all he made her happy. First as a friend, then as a partner, Then as a true love. She suffered through a lot to be with him and we continuously here her saying at the end of catching fire "I failed to save Petta"

Gale literally helped keep Katniss' family alive for YEARS. He was always supporting Katniss (even when she did not deserve it) and loved her even when she gave him nothing in return. Honestly, it's really just Katniss I dislike, now that I think about it

This is powerful because not only is Haymitch her Mentor, but the sole winner of the previous Quarter Quell. I do see how Katniss's distrusts is widely understandable in this circumstance, however, this scenario mirrors how we first see Katniss prior to the games. When we are first introduced to her, she is extremely reserved, and even Katniss's and Gale's Teamwork of hunting and gathering was a slow start, as she needed to trust him first.
Katniss's blame toward Gale also greatly emphasizes her inability to forgive. This was evident in Katniss's relationship with her mother, a character so distantly written - she is nameless in the series. Due to her Mother's mental health deteriorating after the lose of Katniss's father, Katniss felt extremely abandoned. This experience not only shaped her inability to trust others, as her main care giver abandoned her when she needed her most, but also shaped her into Prim's mother figure and care giver. When wee see Katniss's relationship with Prim prior to the first Reaping, Katniss's mother is back in her role as the care-giver for Prim and Katniss, but Katniss is distant and reserved to her, and continues to act like a Mother Figure to Prim. After the reaping, when Katniss is saying Goodbye, her shift in demeanour from Prim, to her mother, and the context of her goodbye (when she thinks she will potentially never see them again), greatly emphasizes Katniss's inability to forgive her mother for their past, and distrusts the idea of her Mother's capabilities to withstand loss.
Thus, I think Katniss and Peeta's relationship emphasizing Katniss's character and how she articulates decisions. I will also suggest this Youtube Video for anyone who is interested, as It touches on this aspect in a very articulate way:

Another one for Team Gale here! It seems like no one understands him. He did so much for Katniss and her family and even Peeta which would have been extremely difficult. Don't get me wrong, Peeta's not a bad guy and he and Katniss had some super sweet moments but I feel like he just waltzed in and stole the show whereas Gale had been there for Katniss through it all. I have been rereading the Hunger Games for the second time and I had forgotten that in Catching Fire Gale's brother Rory had to take tesserae and my heart just broke for Gale. And I agree with everyone else that Prim was like his sister and he would never ever have wanted to kill her.

I'm on Team Katniss. Really, I don't think Peeta and Gale are for her, For one, they're both too sweet and too stupid over a mere girl and there is just no chemistry. Gale is best off being Katniss' friend aka hunting partner and the her relationship with Peeta is just too sudden. It was like 'oh Peeta is having emotional traumas, I'm so guilty for abandoning him!' and then suddenly boom, Peeta remembers everything and they get married. Honestly, I love the story, it's just that the author failed to convince me the compatibility of Katniss and Peeta.
TEAM GALE FOREVER. I hate how he was just removed from Katniss' life in the last book, and was turned into some shallow actor
I LOVE GALE. They should've been endgame. I think because of what Peeta and Katniss endured together, they were inseparable. But the fact that Gale was always there for her and they went through bad times together too. (Lol I am NOT sadistic like the Hunger Games wasn't even that bad but like both ships went through crap together.) He took care of her and her family. Peeta was very broken and (sorry) had few to offer to the relationship. No matter what happened, GALE WAS ALWAYS THERE. I think that it is hard for Katniss to be with Peeta after all that. Peeta would just be a constant reminder of her pain.
Gale was just so much cooler. And even though he thought that Katniss would choose Peeta in the end, he kept fighting.
You are not alone, of course i´m team Gale too. Peeta was good but i still think that they were meant to be together.
By the way all my friends are Team Peeta and they bully me for that :/
