Of course I just had to read this book, since I'm writing a mystery series that features an astrologer, plus my own interest in the subject. I've always known of Evangeline Adams, but wasn't aware of her dedication to astrology or how terribly important her work was in the popularization of this occult science and art. The author's detailed research brought Adams to life against the backdrop of her times. A must read for anyone interested in astrology or the history of the time period!
