Christopher Mclaughlin | 5 comments A patron of our library read a book back in the 50's (though he has no idea when the book was written) about a bear hunter and a bear. The chapters switched between the perspective of the hunter and the perspective of the bear. He's been thinking about this book for years, but I haven't had any luck figuring out what it is.

Mai | 1280 comments The Bear by James Oliver Curwood? First published in 1915. Found via Google search.
According to the readers' comments it is written from the point of view of the bears (there are two) and also the hunter's.

Christopher Mclaughlin | 5 comments Thank you so much, Mai! The Curwood book sounds just like what the patron described. He'll be so grateful to finally have an answer to this question that's been haunting him!

Mai | 1280 comments I hope this is the book he is looking for! Let us know either way; if it isn't we'll keep looking :-)
