Valerie Sells | 50 comments I saw another thread where someone posted a summary/blurb for their story and got some opinions and advice for improvement. I was hoping I could get the same assistance please.

I've self-published several novels to Amazon in the last 18 months or so and I feel fairly confident when writing the summaries for those (years of fanfiction may have helped! lol) but my next book is slightly different - a collection of short stories that are all meet-cutes, aka couples meeting for the first time in a variety of different circumstances, time periods, etc. - and I'm not sure that what I have reads so well.

Your thoughts on the below, and any possible improvements, would be gratefully received - thanks! :)

Love Starts Here

Love can strike any time, any place.

At a concert, in the future, or lurking next door,
In times past, on an errand, or stuck between floors!

Sometimes one look, one word, one touch is enough to know your life will never be the same again.

That's certainly true for these eight soon-to-be couples when they meet and find that Love Starts Here.

Dale Lehman (dalelehman) | 1814 comments Actually, I think that's pretty good. You might want to work in that it's a collection of short stories, e.g.:

That's certainly true for the couples who meet in these eight compelling short stories and find that Love Starts Here.

I might also cut the "again" and make it, "...your life will never be the same."

Other than that, I like it.

Thank you, Dale. I really appreciate your help :)
