the book was young adult/romance. it followed the main character who was an orphan due to a house fire when she was young. she falls in love with this boy at college, i think his name was Chris. he was the eldest of his siblings and had an abusive father. turns out he was at the lake where the house burned down and saved her and her brother from the fire that killed her parents. i remember so many details of the story, but not the name.
