Alex, normally known for his, stoic persona, seems to lose his focus when it comes to Grace. What are your thoughts about his behavior?

[Laura]

Actually I am not impressed by it. In his line of work he needs to stay focused. He’s the boss. Every guy on that team is a love struck fool it seems. I’ve wondered in other books how do they get anything done? How do they get anything accomplished? They are all distracted.

Well said, Laura! In defense of Alex, everyone has a blind spot and Grace is his. Is it unprofessional - yes. He actually put her in more danger because of his attention to her.

I agree with you both. His distraction put her on Malik’s radar. But, he never lost sight of the mission. He stayed on point for that.

His distraction with her made him more human in my estimation. He normally was so devoted and focused on his job but in this case was so in love with Grace, he lost some of that focus.
