Rachael Hewison (rachhewison) | 459 comments We didn't manage to get the last two clues so has anyone got any thoughts on who the murderer could be?

message 152: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Karczewski (ashleylorna) | 152 comments I think I sent you a separate message last night about my only idea. I didn’t know if we should post it in here or not!

Rachael Hewison (rachhewison) | 459 comments I've messaged UNO pixie and I have the right person, just not the method. Any one else had a think about it?

Kelly (louloo) | 314 comments Mmmm no concrete thoughts. It has to be needle based as this is how it’s administered. He’s out of the room for most of the afternoon could Elaine have gone into his bedroom and left a needle laced with the drug some where he would sit or on something he would pick up - like a letter?

message 158: by Rachael (new)

Rachael Hewison (rachhewison) | 459 comments With his weight he's more at risk of diabetes. Do you think she swapped his insulin then when he went to bed after dinner he injected himself but with the poison?

message 159: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (louloo) | 314 comments Ooooh yes!

message 160: by Rachael (new)

Rachael Hewison (rachhewison) | 459 comments Ok I submitted that and "Almost, you are on the right track"

One guess left and 15 minutes to get it in

message 161: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (louloo) | 314 comments Something to do with angina? Allergic reaction?

message 162: by Rachael (new)

Rachael Hewison (rachhewison) | 459 comments Unstable angina
If you have unstable angina (where symptoms develop unpredictably), you'll need medicines to prevent blood clots and reduce your risk of having a heart attack or stroke.

You may be given:

low-dose aspirin
clopidogrel
an injection of a blood-thinning medicine soon after you're diagnosed

message 163: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (louloo) | 314 comments He was on the bed - maybe it was the blood thinner. I can’t think of anything else you would inject related to that.

message 164: by Rachael (new)

Rachael Hewison (rachhewison) | 459 comments Nah it wasn't right. So we don't get the points

You were closer to the correct answer

message 166: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (louloo) | 314 comments I can’t believe how simple it was. I’d discounted it as it was far too simple.

message 167: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Karczewski (ashleylorna) | 152 comments Not gonna lie I would’ve never have guessed it :’)

Rachael Hewison (rachhewison) | 459 comments Oh no, have you seen how many draw 2's we have? :(

message 170: by Kelly (last edited Mar 03, 2019 12:05PM) (new)

Kelly (louloo) | 314 comments Yes I’ve seen them :( Does anyone have any idea what they may be reading over the next month? Maybe we could pre match some of the cards.

message 171: by Katie (new)

Katie | 230 comments So, 2 of us have to read the same book? Or 1 book should be used for 2 spaces?

message 172: by ✿~Danielle~✿ (new)

✿~Danielle~✿ (dmh1) | 1759 comments Katie wrote: "So, 2 of us have to read the same book? Or 1 book should be used for 2 spaces?"

Second part. One book can be used for two cards.

message 173: by Katie (new)

Katie | 230 comments I see. Thanks Danielle. Don't most books fit 2 or more cards?

I have a few books to add when I get some time. :)

message 174: by ✿~Danielle~✿ (last edited Mar 04, 2019 12:38PM) (new)

✿~Danielle~✿ (dmh1) | 1759 comments It makes a little trickier as the two cards have to be in that hand, but as you say, most books for multiple cards. Also less points, so that’s a bad thing with having so many.

message 175: by Rachael (new)

Rachael Hewison (rachhewison) | 459 comments It also means we get less points as you don't get any points for a draw 2 card

message 176: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (louloo) | 314 comments The rules state you get points for both cards?

message 177: by Rachael (new)

Rachael Hewison (rachhewison) | 459 comments Yes you get them for the two cards but if we'd had another number card instead of a draw 2 we would've got another 20 instead of 0

message 178: by Leslie (new)

Leslie I'm starting a book now that should work for the 7 blue card and the skip...so the draw 2 in hand 12 (I think??)

message 179: by Katie (new)

Katie | 230 comments Oh, I see...it's the loss of points. Yeah, that sucks.

message 180: by Liz (new)

Liz I finished reading Vengeful and I'm adding it to the sheet!

message 181: by Leslie (new)

Leslie I've added my latest book to the spreadsheet. I believe it would count as a blue book, but Rachel can you please check and let me know if I should amend it?

message 182: by Rachael (new)

Rachael Hewison (rachhewison) | 459 comments Turbo twenty three? It's blue but it doesn't fit 7 blue so we can't use it for a blue card

message 183: by Leslie (last edited Mar 07, 2019 04:26AM) (new)

Leslie Shoot, I missed that...there is a character that this particular book centers on....Larry Virgil. So that would work for the 7. I'll add him in. He isn't one of the regulars in this series, but he causes the events of the book and is referred to throughout.

message 187: by Leslie (new)

Leslie Thank you Rachel. It looks so green :(

message 188: by ✿~Danielle~✿ (new)

✿~Danielle~✿ (dmh1) | 1759 comments It does look green. Do you have to go with that site, if looking at the cover looks green?

message 190: by Katie (new)

Katie | 230 comments I think Tineye only needs to be used if we can't agree it's the color being asked about or if the captains are unsure. I think it looks green.

message 191: by Rachael (new)

Rachael Hewison (rachhewison) | 459 comments Tineye is what I used. Did you press to include the background colour?

Liz Can anyone remind me/connect me to the page that talks about requirements for graphic novels? I’m reading a lot of them for a project right now but I’m not sure if they count.

From All about UNO thread (https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...)
Books must be more than 100 pages in length and Children's books, Graphic Novels, Manga, Cook Books, Plays and Poetry books can not be used unless by word count they can be verified as more than 25,000 words using arbookfind.com or more than 3 hours of audio using a reputable website (e.g. audible, overdrive)

message 199: by Leslie (new)

Leslie Rachel is offline for a few days, so thought I would give you an update on where we're at:

Hand #5
1 - Draw 2
3 - Reverse

Hand #9
1 - Reverse

Hand #13
1 - Reverse

Hand #14
1 - Green 5

** Tonight I'm starting Tomboy. It was read by Katie, so will work for 2 of the Reverse and the Draw 2 in Hand #5. Is anybody else reading any books that we can use for the other Reverse or the Green 5 card?

message 200: by ✿~Danielle~✿ (new)

✿~Danielle~✿ (dmh1) | 1759 comments I finished a reverse and put on tracking sheet the other day - Rock Chick Reawakening.
