I should have enjoyed this book more - my MA was basically set in this period. Although I did learn slightly more about the mutiny on the Bounty and Lord Nelson's affair with Lady Hamilton, the book didn't quite live up to my expectations and definitely doesn't fit the action-adventure tag. However if you want to focus on the adventure aspect of the tag then there is plenty of that!

Non-fiction, and I'm always interested in learning more about my period. It describes the day-to-day life of the sailors' wives (or pirates) so doesn't go into detail on the battles/conquests they won.
