I started reading this book because I thought that it would be interesting to see what someone only a few years older than me could accomplish. And I was immediately disappointed. So much so that before I was even half way through the book I had to put it down. At some point during the editing process the author should have realized that she was using the wrong pronouns and tenses. Five pages into the story and I’d already found two mistakes. Not only this, but she begins with something that all writers should know is taboo. The main character started by talking about herself. The long monologue immediately marks Kayleigh Gallagher as an amateur. Although the concept is good, the book is poorly written and I hope that she can improve her skills with speed and efficiency.
