Anyone who likes intriguing coincidences needs to read "The Day Kennedy Died" by Michael J. Mooney, collected from D Magazine in The Best American Crime Reporting 2009. After I finished the book I went back and re-read this chapter in astonishment, and with not a little sorrow. I can hardly get over it.
I was on X today and saw where someone claiming to be John Walsh's daughter Meghan was totally dogging out him and his wife Reve. I responded to something she said, questioning a statement that the Walshes and their boarder at the time of their son's kidnapping, Jimmy Campbell, were in a menage a trois, pointing out what John Walsh said about Jimmy in his memoir. She attacked me in kind of a nonsensical middle-school way and I blocked her, assuming that she couldn't be who she said she was.
