I never actually read this book but saw it somewhere, read the dustjacket and then lost the note I wrote with the title and author. I can't remember the name of the main character but she is about to get married when her first love Kyle returns. Author's first name is Sheila I believe. I'm going to commit the "the cover was white" sin and say the book cover is white and there is a woman in red dress on the left side of the cover. She has her back to you, and is looking out a window. There isn't a lot of other detail other than the woman and the window. I think the words "knew, me, when" were part of the title and it was probably written in the last 10 years.

I had originally posted this as a "romance" but given the storyline, I'm thinking it may just fall in the "novel" category. I've used many of the search tools and can seem to find it.

Jamie, thank you. I was sure the male character was Kyle and I'm sure the wording on the dust jacket was "first love" but it could very well be a different version by another publisher, so I am definitely going to check it out. Thanks so much I consider this solved! gm
