Yes the crucifixion is not of jesus itself, the book is set in modern time. Its sort of a da vinci code type of book. I read it on the train a year ago and my mate cant remember the name of it. It washis book

The first chapter described in a lot of detail about a Crucifixion. The main story starts with 2 rich people in an itallian villa and the husband leaves on business and the house gets invaded by people looking for clues about some ancient treasure or some shit. The wife dies on the steps and the husbands friend comes to look after him and uncover the story behind his wifes murder. The friend was a police man or detective or something.
