I read this one for 2019's Reject Challenge: A diverse book.

Holy. Cow. This novel was really so good. It offered so many unique dynamics -- Claude vs. Poppy and who he/she would become; the parents struggling with how much to protect their child; the siblings coming to terms with the secrets they are having to keep for their family.

This book just had everything and I really, really enjoyed it. And felt it -- I'll be thinking of this one for a while.

Anastasia (anastasiaharris) | 1730 comments I read this recently and really liked It too. A book that has parents and siblings who are supportive finally.

Moving, the way this family did is not possible for most. I would like to read a book that has a similar premise but in which the family stays in their original neighbourhood.
