I know this is a long shot but I am searching for a fantasy book where a girl breaks into a house of a man to steal something and she's leaves a guy in the van to do surveillance they call each other by code names, and she uses a patch on her neck for a glamour but she ends up getting caught. The man catches her and the boy and tortures her for information in strange ways like making her attracted to him. That didn't work so he brings in another girl and when she starts to give up information the first girl kills her by using a spell to burn her alive. It all turns out to be a test in the end because the guy who's house she broke into wants to employ her. So she gets angry and links them together and helps the girl that she killed cross over.

Can anyone please tell me what this book is called?
