Sunflower | 174 comments Yeeha! How exciting! Just got in the door after working an 11 hour day, and thought I'd check in to see how GR was going. Glad to know that validated scientific methods were used for total fairness. Will get right on it....

Should get a bit of reading done on those looooong flights.

Luann (azbookgal) | 1017 comments Congrats, Natasha! And yay for dystopia! What a fun choice.

Edit: Oh, and feel free to start a thread under Monthly Discussions for people to post their planned reading for March. One of my 10 classics to read for this year is second on the dystopia list: Brave New World!

Mita (mitab) | 104 comments Oh no. Dystopia always scares me, but what better way is there to challenge me then? Good choice, Natasha!

message 125: by [deleted user] (new)

Super. The first page is full of books I should read but haven't.

message 126: by Tara (new)

Tara | 742 comments Natasha, you are a woman after my own heart! I love dystopia! I have so many on my TBR shelf! Great shelf!

message 127: by Lynne (new)

Lynne (lmsindel) Dystopia, hmmm, not my most favorite genre...but that's why I joined Pick A Shelf in the first place, to read "outside the box"!

message 128: by Arlene (new)

Arlene | 145 comments I don't know that I had ever heard of dystopia and when I read the discription I was very anxious that I wouldn't find any books on the list that I would want to read but I discovered that I have actually read some already. Now I just have to check my shelves to see what is there.

Lyn (Readinghearts) (lsmeadows) | 2895 comments Mod
Hey Natasha - whose going to be the next shelf picker? Those of us who use libraries need enough time to get books.

message 136: by BJ Rose (last edited Mar 23, 2010 09:15PM) (new)

BJ Rose (bjrose) | 234 comments Thanks for the birthday present!

We've had some really serious shelves lately, so I tried to come up with something that would let us decide which direction we want our reading to take in April. I chose one that hopefully will let you be silly or light-hearted or serious in a variety of genres.

Our April shelf is Favorites

Happy picking, but I just have one question: are the Harry Potter books on every shelf?!

message 137: by Em (new)

Em (emily27) | 45 comments Congratulations BJ Rose! Good choice, too. I'm excited to start picking out books!
