I am surprised it's more expensive for you, I'm used to seeing everything cheaper over the pond, and $35 to get free shipping?! It's only £10 here, though of course we are tiny in comparison so I guess delivery would be cheaper
Oh dear :( It's not so bad to pay postage if you're ordering a DVD or CD as they are light, but a book tends to be heavier, the postage can cost almost as much as the book. I know the answer is to buy more books and get free postage but if you only want to buy one book it would put you off!

That won't work in my American DVD player. We have a different region encoding and shipping would make it cost prohibitive. The Acorn Media catalog (public television) and PBS shop sell some great literary love story packages. I really want a streaming Acorn Media subscription but I can't afford it right now.
