Feel free to start discussing your thoughts on Kafka on the Shore on this thread!

Eyad abdulkader | 1 comments Very interesting novel by using the Greek mythology, Crow which was always associated with Apollo the God of prophecies and the messenger of gods to the mortal world.
Oedipus which was clear in Kafka-his mother relation.
Cats represent Ailuros in ancient Greece and Bastet in ancient Egypt the goddess of protection..
I'm sure that I missed a lot of other things? can we start in this aspect?

Very interesting! I know almost nothing about Greek mythology so I can't say I've noticed it in this book. But I'd be interested to hear others opinions on this!

Guys, I thought I would have a hard time with this book, but I ended up really enjoying it. I mean, there were some weird things and some graphic bits, but I found it really engaging and intriguing for the most part. If you want more detailed thoughts, I've just posted a review on my blog: https://sueysbooks.blogspot.com/2019/... and if you want to see my say all this stuff, you can click on the video I just posted in our video section. Let us know YOUR thoughts! (And I will try to pay more attention to discussions here. I seem to miss notifications!)
