Series name consistency

Just noticed that the series name for "Carson Chronicles" is presented differently than for the two previous series. Can you delete the "The" and the "series" and leave just the "Carson Chronicles"? Thanks.

Hi there,
In need of assistance to correct series name for consistency as well as correct book order, to correlate Amazon listing if possible. It's a mess (my fault) and since I can't wipe it out and start again, any logical listing that a reader can follow would be greatly appreciated.

Series: Bad Boy Western Romance
Book Order for the seven books that make up series:
Out of print book was the first in the series Twice Tempted . I acquired the rights back from Simon and Schuster for Tempted by Trouble last year.

So Amazon has the series as follows:

To be sure I understand correctly you want the current "Bad Boys" series found here: https://www.goodreads.com/series/1080... changed to reflect the list you have posted above and the name of the series changed to "Bad Boy Western Romance"?

Yes. Except the original first book Twice Tempted is no longer available. It was never in print. So to avoid reader confusion can the series be listed as Amazon does, starting with Tempted by Trouble as Book # 1?

Olivia, from what I have seen in the description of the books this is one of those series that shares a theme/world but each book has all different characters and they don't necessarily interact.

The book on Susan's page are kind of a mess right now and probably need looking at.

Good to know as the librarian manual doesn't mention this, it only talks about numbering and such and that series have to have "characters" in common or a "world/universe" in common.

What's the breaking point for a series in a shared world being stand alone books rather than a series?

I can see why theme itself is not enough to be enough to make a series but if they happen in the same universe/world but characters do not interact?

Yes, they're a family, the McLemores. The setting is a ranch in Texas, Evermore. The characters appear in each book and build as new characters (i.e. love interests, friends, co-workers ) appear and become part of the family or linked to the them.

In 2016, it was published as teaser novella (the first part of Too Hot To Handle) for a limited time. It hasn't and won't be republished.

I know the titles need fixing but I am not sure how to proceed or how they should be renamed, are they all teaser novellas?

Not sure if technically they should be added as .5 books, or stand alones etc? I know novellas are usually added to series as .5 books such as if the story happens between book 5 and and book 6 it would be added to the series as book 5.5 but not usre if the fact these stories are no longer available changes anything etc


I am hoping some other librarian can can pipe in and help us out.
