ABANDONED. Romance series where at the end the couple end up living on a yacht and adopting abused children. Possibly Dark Romance.

I am looking for a book I read over two years ago. I believe it is a trilogy (but definitely could end up not being one). At one point the main couple go to a secondary couple's mansion, and the mansion is attacked. I think it burns down? The main couple end up living on a yacht, and they adopt children who are abused. I believe they adopt a little girl who doesn't talk, and then two others. I want to say this is not an American based book.

I think the main male character is super rich. His money may have come to him by not entirely legal means, and that adds a Dark aspect to the book, and ties in with the adopting of abused kids at the end.
