This book has chapter names rather than numbered chapters so look for the chapter names in the topic. I'll be grouping 3-4 chapters together in each topic.

deana everett | 124 comments I love the layers to the stories and how we meet characters and then learn about their earlier lives later. I so hope Rita allows herself to be happy with Daunt. Lily is strange and I’m not loving the intelligent all knowing pig. Who is the girl
Looking for??

I got a laugh out of your description of the pig!

I think Lily is incredibly isolated and traumatized. It makes a little sense that she would bond with the pig and consider her a confidant.

Krystal (krystalhobgood) The "Some Stories are Not for Telling" chapter may be my favorite in the whole book so far. I loved the description of the relationship between Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong, and just felt like it really helped develop those characters. It made complete sense, then, as to why Robin looks differently.

Lily breaks my heart. I just picture her to be so sheltered and frightened, and in so much emotional pain for some reason. I would really love to see something wonderful happen to her in this story.

Lastly, Rita and Henry.....oh goodness. I really thought maybe, just maybe, they were about to move forward a little in their relationship, and then BAM....Rita disses him a bit! LOL!

I agree, these chapters were some of my favorites as well. I like that their backstory took so long to be revealed.

I just want to hug Lily.

Deborah (debh56) | 63 comments I agree that these chapters were interesting. Lily is troubling. It’s like she struggles just to survive. I don’t understand why she thinks Amelia is her sister, but I do agree that the child does not belong to the Vaughn’s.
