I think the EAR/ONS had been captured and a co-worker was telling me about both his capture and LPOTL for the first time. I had no idea she was Patton Oswald's wife at first - I just didn't make the connection. I got the book as soon as my friend told me about it and then consciously avoided finding out anything about EAR/ONS until I'd read the book.
