Week 1 Check-In

I'm still working on finishing a book this week! I'm mostly finished with 'The Girl Who Dared to Lead' by Bella Forrest, and I've started 'Scythe' by Neal Shusterman. I've been busy trying to research books for the challenge, but I hope to finish a couple by Saturday!

I'm still working on book #4 of the Girl Who Dared series, hoping to finish #5 & #6 this weekend. None of which I'm counting for this challenge since I'm not sure which prompt I could put them in.

I've been too busy looking up books for the challenge and adapting a reading log I found online instead of actually reading. But I'll finish these books up and get started soon.

I'm currently reading Florida by Lauren Groff as a "book recommended by a celebrity you admire". It was on Obama's list of Recommended Books of 2018 and it had been on my want to read list for awhile too. It is REALLY good!

And now I have my pick for a celebrity recommendation. I wanted to read that book when it came out but somehow forgot about it. Glad to hear it's good!

I am almost done with my first book of the year, “The Color Purple” by Alice Walker. Hoping to finish tonight or tomorrow morning!!
I plan on having this book cover one of the check points of the challenge, just not sure which one yet.
