Is there a link you could provide? I did a search and only found this one: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/8...But from the description on that page, it doesn't appear that it's the book you're discussing in your post above.
Never mind .... I guess this book isn't on Goodreads yet. I finally did an internet search and found it:https://wildbluepress.com/pathologica...
But it's right in the GR database, and stowed securely on our own TC shelves!PATHOLOGICAL: The Murderous Rage Of Dr. Anthony Garcia

Thanks, Fishface -- I don't even know what "TC Shelves" are .... but with your helpful link, I'm sure I will find it. I wonder why it didn't come up when I entered the title in the 'search books' box.... Oh ... perhaps because I used what Lady Beleeza used:
"Pathological" -- rather than the full title. Hopefully once I've been here for a couple of months, I'll have most of this figured out..
Go to the upper R on any page in this group. There's a green link that says BOOKSHELF. Click on it and it takes you to our voluminous TC library, where the books show up simply in the order they were added. Down the L side of that page is a long list of green links to the individual shelves, like Jack The Ripper, Child Murders, Fictionalized, and Black Dahlia. You can also click on the title of an individual book to bring its entry up within the TC library. Look to the R and you will see links to the individual shelves someone put that book on. Those are also green-highlighted links, so if you see a book is shelved under West Memphis Three, you can click on that link to see all the books on that shelf. If you are using the app you will inexplicably not have any way to see, or add to, our bookshelves.

I don't see a green link. all I see at the top right of this page, for instance is a little white bell (notifications), and four more icons indicating Group Discussions, Messages, Friends, and my cat icon for my account info. I'll try going to the GR home page and see if I can see it there.
Thanks so much for trying to help a newcomer figure this out.

I was looking for a green ICON at the very top of the GR page. I now see it is the WORD "bookshelf" and it's under the ribbon/menu bar on the right.
You're not an idiot. This website is so difficult to navigate that I gave up on it for something like 2 years before trying again -- and I only did try again because Shelfari was being shut down.

I've never heard of Shelfari. I've been a reader for most of my life (although there were times when my boys were little that I didn't do much reading), but I only discovered this website maybe a year ago and posted/read some reviews. I had been using it alot to read reviews of books I thought I might be interested in reading; then, a few months ago, I discovered the 'community' groups. Hopefully within a few more months, I'll be more knowledgeable about this website (with your generous help)!
Shelfari was a different -- in some ways better! -- book readers' site, also owned by Amazon. One thing I miss about Shelfari is the "books like this book" and "books with more information about this book" feature on every book's page. The search function could handle a keyword search -- GR's can't -- and bring up all kinds of books associated with whatever you wanted to find. And the visuals were drastically better; your bookshelves at Shelfari looked like real bookshelves, with the book jackets big enough to see properly. You could even choose blonde, brown or black wood for the bookshelves.

I would LOVE to be able to have a "books like this" link or even (as I think Thriftbooks has) a "more books from this author" link. And I had noticed you had to pretty much have the exact title in order to get results from GR's search bar.
Do you know hat happened to Shelfari? It sounds like it was an excellent website for avid readers.
Amazon foolishly decided to close down Shelfari, probably because of the expense of keeping 2 big websites open. When it comes to me at least, closing down Shelfari has cost them money. The visually attractive format of Shelfari and easy-click user-friendliness of that site led me to buy up to 4 books/day. Now it's a big deal if I buy 4 books/mo through GR.
Too bad .... Hate to see something go (websites, restaurants, partnerships, etc. etc.) when it appears to be working so well and benefits people. In most cases I always wonder something like, "Why fix it (or close it) if it ain't broke?" And it does always seem to involve money .... Our favorite, family-owned Mexican restaurant in the Denver area finally closed down because they couldn't keep up with the low prices offered by the nearby chain Mexican restaurants. THAT had to be close to 15 years ago, and I STILL think about it. They had the best quality Mexican food I've ever had. It was a bit more pricey than the chain restaurants like "On The Border", but I would have GLADLY paid even MORE if only the Trujillo family would have kept Mission Trujillo open.

The whole search function croaked for months at a time, for instance. What puzzles me though is why they paid people to fix it, only to shut down the site entirely...
OH! I see .... I thought you were indicating it was just a $$ problem. Maybe the 'bugs' were so significant they just gave up.I used to work in Human Resources Information Systems, and can relate to persistent bugs that are difficult to identify.
Well, I think it ultimately was a $$ issue. But they had it all up and running properly, better than ever in fact, and they were actively adding new features -- and then they upped and shut it down.

I often find myself going to bookstores to search for books because it is easier than using this site.
