What is a book you've seen like this? Have you already read a book for this section?

I read “The Color Purple” by Alicia Walker for this category. There are no chapters in it and it is a series of letters the main character writes to God and her sister as well as some of her sister’s letters to her.
Very interesting book- it was recommended to me by my little sister who read it in one of her high school English classes.

Sonya (thelibrarianin3b) | 93 comments I'm currently reading "Where'd you go Bernadette" by Maria Semple. I'm planning on using this book for the 'title containing a question' prompt but it would be perfect for this one too since it's written in a series of emails, articles, and letters instead of chapters.

It's a really interesting and quick read. I'm really liking it so far.

Sonya (thelibrarianin3b) | 93 comments I just finished ‘Dear Committee Members’ by Julie Schumacher for this challenge.

It’s a quick read, told in a series of recommendation letters written by a fed-up English professor for various students and colleagues. The professor is equal parts witty, sarcastic, and funny in his writings.

While the book was good, the ending is what really made me enjoy it as you are able to see the professor’s true character.

I think anyone, especially teachers, who truly believe in their profession but are plagued by admin and bureaucratic obstacles will appreciate this book.
