Alix wrote: "Sorry- is anthology just a fancy word for short stories ?"

It’s a collection of short stories written by different authors. So from the YA genre something like “summer days and summer nights” or “let it snow.”

Mariette De kock | 1 comments Hey Guys, What does this prompt mean? 22. Own Voices

message 10: by Leah (new)

Leah | 9 comments Used my own voices for a mystery where the main character was a mystery writer

message 11: by Kate (new)

Kate (drkt) | 59 comments Mod
Own Voices means written by someone with that background. So for example "A Very Large Expanse of Sea" or "The Hate You Give". Or books by LGBTA authors writing about LGBTA characters, etc.

There's a bunch for YA that are good. Summer Days and Summer Nights, Meet Cute, and Because You Love to Hate Me are a few that come immediately to mind.

Here's a link for a Listopia list of YA anthologies.

I'm not too well read on anthologies for the other two groups, but here's a lists to check out for Fantasy Anthologies.

Here's a couple of historical fiction anthologies Once upone a time, History Will Be Kind, A Tyranny of Petticoats,

Rebecca wrote: "How do we mark what books we have read for the prompts?"

When you set your challenge goal it should give you the option to create a shelf. When you read a book you need to make sure you’ve checked the challenge shelf I’m order to count towards your goal.

message 22: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Parten (rebeccaparten) | 2 comments Ah ok! I just made a shelf called “2019 Book Map Challenge” - are you all able to see it?

AmethystMay (amethystmay) I tried searching but I am not coming up with an answer what is a "Little-Read" Genre?

message 28: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 8 comments I was wondering the same thing Aimée. My first thought was an elementary age book‍, like Tales of the 4th Grade Nothing, but really don't know.

message 29: by Kate (new)

Kate (drkt) | 59 comments Mod
I personally think of it as a genre you usually don’t read. So for me, poetry is a little read genre.
