Rosemarie | 3953 comments My reading goals are to read more of the books I already own. I would like to complete the frequent flyer challenge again this year, as well as some of the other challenges in this group.

Hara Drakou (hara_drakou) | 8 comments I would like to read more books this year than i did in 2018 and complete my reading challenge again. Also I hope to read more 4 or 5 star books because many of the books I read last year were quit disappointing.

message 4: by Pam (new)

Pam (bluegrasspam) | 123 comments My 2019 focus is on reading more translated works, classics, sci-fi, and books I own. Fortunately, there is a lot of overlap! I’ve also started listening to short stories on the LeVar Burton Reads Podcast, which I want to continue. It’s an easy way to squeeze in a short story and to find new authors. I’m doing several challenges across 4 different groups but I think I can complete them all without too much trouble. I’m looking forward to a great year of reading in 2019!

Cheryl | 958 comments I'll be doing the Frequent Flyer challenge, the translated literature language challenge, the translated literature genre challenge, and a Russian language version of the translated literature genre challenge. Like Pam, I think there will be a lot of overlap between my challenges!

I'd also like to read some of the really long books on my TBR, such as War and Peace and The Cairo Trilogy: Palace Walk / Palace of Desire / Sugar Street

I loved both the Cairo Trilogy and War and Peace.

Thanks Diane! The size of these books intimidates me but it is encouraging to hear that you liked both of them!

message 12: by Amzette (new)

Amzette | 3 comments I’m curious if Audiobooks are allowed in this group. I suffer from chronic migraines and am recovering from brain surgery. I still read regular books but I’ve had to convert mainly to Audiobooks, several years ago, when I became bedridden.
My goal is 200 books this year, including regular books.
