I have it, Sarah, and it looks like it's available to loan. :) Just let me know where to send it.

Thank you anyway!!

Hi Sarita! I have an unclaimed ''spare'' ebook copy of the book! Let me know if you want it and I can send it to your kindle :)

Hi Christine
You are allowed to lend a kindle book but only once and it has to be lending enabled. If you go to the book details on amazon it will show you if you are allowed to lend it or not.
There is other options as well for giving people access to your books - like having a family household account or sharing the same amazon account - but then you need to trust those people (you can check on amazon :-) I have a second kindle (old) which I lend to a friend with books I bought.

Hi Christine
You are allowed to lend a ..." My book club is reading a book that I can get in Kindle Unlimited for free. My group needs the book. I want to lead it to them. I trust my friends. Good people. I will check this out so my friends can has access to the book. Thanks for letting me know!!

If you go to the Manage your digital content page on Amazon and go through your books (if you get the box to show that says things like Return (if it's a library book or Kindle Unlimited, etc) and I think that is where, if it can be lent, it asks you if you want to lend it. I haven't done this and don't have many Kindle books (I mainly borrow through Overdrive or the state library directly).

Christine If you are going to lend a book, you will need to know the kindle e-mail addy for the person your are lending it to. Here are the steps after going to Amazon:
1) Click on accounts and lists under were it says Hello Christine
2) Click on Your Content and Devices
3) Click on box that says Your Devices and Content
4) Click on manage digital content
5) Search for the book you want to lend
6) On the left side of the book title, click on actions to see if it says Loan this Tile in the list at the bottom (not all kindle books are lendable)
7. If it is lendable, click on Loan this Book. That is where you will enter the email of the person you want to loan it to.
Hope this helps you walk through it! We have a thread here for lending/borrowing Kindle books:

Also, I'm not able to read it while it is lent out, correct?

If you do a household account, you have longer - not sure if you can read it the same time though.
Some of the people I know just register their kindle to the same account, and downloads the book to both devices. Then put kindle on airplane mode so then you can read the same book at your pace. I usually just log in, download the book for my friend and log out again. On my back up kindle.
The risk of having one account is people can buy on your account - that is why I rather go in and download and log out.

Good info Sarita!
