Matt's 2019 Reading Goals

I haven't made much headway into my novels goal, but have books on hold from the library. The Final Empire was not available for awhile, so I'm going with The Colour of Magic instead. I have acquired Gretel and the Case of the Missing Frog Prints, but will be reading the first Brothers Grimm Mystery before that.
I've completed the first 5 volumes of Hellboy, as well as some Locke & Key. While Hellboy is interesting (I particularly enjoy it drawing from various local mythologies), I'm more focused on completing my novels goal now.
Everworld takes a bit longer to get a hold of the books through interlibrary loans, so I've only finished the first 3 books in the series. They are littered with '90s references, which makes them a very nostalgic read.

I had a very busy October and November, over which I only ended up reading The Colour of Magic. I enjoyed that and picked up the second in the series, so I haven't checked the availability of The Final Empire again yet.

Read 6 books, including 1 big book (over 500 pages as per BookswithEmilyFox). Don't have any plans in particular which books these will be, but I had just started Space Opera when I had to return it before a vacation. Here are a few I'm considering, but I also just go into the library and browse for something good.
Comics/Graphic Novels
I wanted to read Geoff Johns' 2009 Flash series from Rebirth to Flashpoint, but it isn't available at my library. Instead I'll read the Hellboy series. With the movie reboot coming to theaters in April, it should be good motivation to plow through as many volumes as possible.
Books from Childhood
I was thinking of re-reading the Harry Potter series, but decided to leave that for 2020 leading up to Fantastic Beasts 3. I remember loving a series by Animorphs author K.A. Applegate called Everworld, so the plan is to re-read that. They seem to be a little hard to find, but I'm hoping to get them through an interlibrary loan.
