T.M. Franklin (tm_franklin) | 30 comments I currently write under the name T.M. Franklin, but am going to be adding a second penname for my romance books, Tami Franklin. I'll be moving my current romance novels to that penname, as well as any future ones, while leaving my fantasy novels under the original penname.

However, I don't think I want to create a separate Goodreads author profile for the new penname. I read the help topic and wanted to make sure I understand it.

If I write under Tami Franklin, and add T.M. Franklin as a co-author or a contributor when I publish, I can then add books for both pennames under my current profile, correct? Is it enough to do this for the print version, or will all versions of the book need to list both names?

Emily | 17607 comments "Tami Franklin" includes the letters in "T.M. Franklin" so I don't think it will be too cumbersome. Another librarian can weigh in, in case I am interpreting the policy incorrectly.

Oh, so are you saying I don't need to list a co-author or contributor? That would make it really easy! :)

Olivia (livka) | 7926 comments I think 'Tami M. Franklin' would be a correct name as per policy to consist of 'T.M. Franklin' and 'Tami Franklin' books.
Alternatively, you can link the books published under 'Tami Franklin' to your current profile by adding 'T.M. Franklin' as a secondary author, but you will not have an access to edit function for these books if you will leave 'Tami Franklin' as unclaimed profile.

Emily | 17607 comments I found an example. See message #6 and the italicized portion in the middle of #7 in this thread:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Here is the author field policy; there is a part on pen names.
https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/4...

I'm not an expert on this so someone will correct me if I am wrong.

I didn't consider the middle initial. Thanks!

T.M. Franklin (tm_franklin) | 30 comments Hmm... well, I've already created the penname on Amazon as Tami Franklin, so perhaps it's a better option to just claim that Goodreads profile after all. Thank you for your help.

I agree that these are the options.

Not contiguously.
