Jess | Comfort Reads (jessm13) Favourite quote - 'The drive to heathrow was grey. Somehow the Londoners call this summer. They don't know that warmth is in colour.'

Anastasia Kallah (anastasiakallah) It looks like I'm a little behind in ordering! I just joined this group and will likely miss out on much of the discussion. Is this title available in the US yet? I'm SO intetested!

Yes it is indeed out in the US. :)
We still have over a month of reading this book, but it doesn't matter if you do not finish 'in time' because we still have members contributing to discussions of books gone by.

Kellie (tambellz) | 1 comments I have just placed a hold on the ebook from my local library. I am the first in the queue after the current reader, so it should not be too long hopefully. I am quite interested to read this book. Thank you for the suggestion! I know it is a bit late for Jan/Feb, but I'll get there :P

Guess | 3 comments I'm a shia muslim myself and i appreciate this kind of stuff, but i find it annoying when people talk emotionally with lack of evidence. I'f yall wanna form opinions. You need to have a base(kind of like a rope while in the dark) which no matter how far you have been lost you can find your way back. so study the quaran and the nahj ul balaqa(half of islam is ALI, if he had became the first khalifa the world wouldnt have been so messed up ) then start seperate studies. first read about various ideals of economics(the original books, des kapital, adam smith) then move on to modern presentations to formulate your own opinion. read about the history of economics wealth and power( guns, germs and steel, why nations fail, the origins of wealth, ascent of money, history of international trade) Once you have a basic understanding about economy, read a bit of math to understand statistics, and the study of falsifying statistics (How to Lie with Statistics darrel huff) then move on to seperate general things or specifics such as(Manufacturing Consent : Chomsky). Then you should read some general world history and american history(the story of civilization Will Durant , and the oxford series on american history). and Israelite history. Then start reading about philosophical ideals of justice, government and power( 48.. of power*forgot the name*, the Prince, Plato and Aristotle works). then start reading about the geopolitical history of the middle east and africa( The Great War for Civilization: The Conquest of the Middle East, The Wretched of the Earth, Edward Said's works*really good*. then start reading about the seven sisters, diamond race in Africa, oil in middle east and Venezuela. Then read about the effects of colonialism(Colonialism in the Congo Basin, Divide and Rule: The Partition of Africa,Lords of the Desert: Britain's Struggle with America to Dominate the Middle East ,especially *The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money & Power *).Then read about capitalism's connection to imperialism read some of Lenin's works *WARNING they are a bit extreme*(Great Ideas V Imperialism: the Highest Stage of Capitalism) Once you start to understand the patterns in (israelite, american, french colonialism, post coloniolism history, I FORGOT COLD WAR HISTORY*more importantly how the losses in vietnam and iraq actually benifited America, and CENTRAL AMERICA) , you'll realize the power of Jews in the world since the very beginning of civilization, you'll realize why foreign countries are bullying in Iran as they are final piece to the puzzle. Their main goal isn't fighting terrorism, it is weakening economies through the control of the global dollar currency, and to destroy Islam through it. to deepen your understanding read inference books such as Covering Islam: How the Media and the Experts Determine How We See the Rest of the World again by Edward Said. Please don't talk about things you don't know much about. but learn to read good sources. And remember no matter how much you read there is much more. This world is beautiful god shared it with us. Therefore it is our to duty to study and understand it through first of all Islam, History, Physics, Math, and share love and nurture through medicine, biology, poetry, and literature. Be like imam Hussein and make your final goal god, something that you cant put a price on, let it be be priceless. For all you South Tehrani kids and Shahrestani kids, don't set your goal for some cbr 500cc honda, no matter how dope it's still got a price tag. And always remember no matter what you go through, and the more struggle you go through it means god loves you more, and when you face it remember just like our imam Hussein, when he had everything took from him in karbala he only remembered god, thats why we call him sarallah,"khoon-i-khoda, or gods blood(figuratively). Stay woke and watch Boondocks.

I comment (Icomment) | 34 comments I believe in the God of Israel. I believe that Jesus is the son of God. But God has his own name: Jehovah.
Do I have the right to be a feminist?
I wrote in my comments verses from the bible and they were deleted. I feel it is very contradictory to think that a Muslim can be a feminist, but not a Jew or a Christian.
I have rights for the first amendment of the United States. And I want my freedom of expression to be respected. I love feminists. I love you. But you can not forbid me to mention the bible, because it is my belief.
