I just love Sundays. Coffee pot is on, a book or two by my side, catching up on goodreads, watching a bit of booktube, doing a bit of cross stitch, chicken in the one pot for dinner, today is going to be a good day!
Happy Sunday everyone!
Happy Sunday everyone!

Yup, happens all the time. I can't risk entering a building that hasn't been checked for people walking the ceiling with those suction cup thingies. This face and body are my curse *sighs deeply and covers face*.

The weather has been very nice too, sunny and sometimes even warm enough for just a tshirt. Not much longer though, we're he..."
Peggy I'd say those temperatures are bliss after all the heat at home! Wrap up warm and have a great time 😁

Sounds idyllic! Enjoy your day.

I have to admit I was torn between being really proud of him for thinking of the homeless people and wanting to discipline him for going around to people's homes without asking me first.
Now, I just need to figure out where we can donate the food locally. I'm sure there are places near us.

His mother did this when she was his age too. I remember she really wanted horseback riding lessons and she went through the phone book and called all the local horse farms until she found one that would give her lessons in exchange for working with the horses, cleaning out stalls, etc. She also went door-to-door offering to walk people's dogs while they were at work for something like a dollar a walk. She ended up getting so many dogs that she had to hire one of her friends to help her. Those were both 10-11 years old. That seems to be the age in our family. It's so funny for me to see him doing stuff like this.
Hopefully, he keeps this going and applies it to school and other things.

Aww thanks, Janice. I think he's a sweet kid. :)

Fortunately, they didn't break the windows. I'm not sure how they got in, though. It was locked. They took about $2 in loose change, some pens, my iPhone cable, some CD's, a package of Wet One Wipes, and my yoga bag with pillow & blanket. They left the most expensive thing which was my yoga mat worth $100.00. (Phew!)
The thing I'm sad about is the pillowcase on the pillow. My friend made the 3 of us that chum together the pillowcase out of fabric with women on the beach. There were sayings on it about girlfriends. :(

Oh Janice - what a shame. Sorry to hear about the pillow case.

The console was cleaned bare and I couldn't think of everything that was in it until I went to get the mail yesterday. The mail key was also taken. All they have to do is go to the mail box at the end of the street and try each box until they find the one that opens. I do have other keys for it, but put in a request for the lock and keys to be changed. That will cost me another $30.00.
My neighbor knocked on the door last night at 10:30 to tell me he saw a guy scoping out the back yards. He had a backpack on his back. My neighbor saw him walk between my car and the other neighbor's truck to get to my backyard. My lawn mower sits in the corner. As soon as I get dressed I'll go out and check it.
My other neighbor made a deal with me. He was building a shed and offered to let me keep my mower in it if he could use it. The shed is built, he's been using my mower, but my mower isn't in the shed yet. A couple weeks ago he mentioned that he needed to get me a key for the shed. The mower will be in that shed tonight! Enough! Or I'll buy a shed, lock my mower in it and the deal is off.

Janice I send you my support and prayers. The betrayal one feels after being robbed is awful. Even little things that didn't mean much hurt. You also get the well meaning people who say things like at least no one got hurt. Well someone did. You were hurt by the items being taken. Let your self be angry. You did not deserve that

Renee, thanks for your comments. There's part of me that says it's no big deal. But, I dreamt about it the other night, so I guess it impacted me more than I realized.

One of my favourite things was a boat trip we made on a rubber boat in between the icebergs on a glacial lake. And we drove to a colony of hundreds of puffins, so cute! They were only about 1-2 metres away!
If you want to see a map of our trip and some pics (almost all of them made by Rob), have a look here: https://www.polarsteps.com/PeggyBonge...

I put all our previous trips in the app as well (not in as much detail as Iceland) so that I have an overview of where I've been. It's looks great :D Everything from a weekend within the Netherlands to our one-year trip. It gives you some nice statistics too! For example, we've been to 40 countries which is 20% of the world. And in total, in the 15 years we've been together, we spent 739 days travelling. That's 2 years of our 15 years!

Stunning pics Peggy. I am going to Iceland next May so I am super-interested in your itinerary, because we are also self-driving. I’ve already put the puffins into my must-dos. Thanks so much ch for sharing.
