Jerry (capvideo) | 129 comments The comic book hardcover “Welcome to Lovecraft (Locke & Key #1)” with ISBN 9781600102370 has recently had its binding changed from “Textbook Binding” to “capa dura”. Capa dura appears to be Portuguese for “hardcover”, which is probably a better description of this edition than Textbook Binding. However, is capa dura the correct term? It’s an English edition, not Portuguese. I can’t find a reference for “capa dura” as a term for hardcovers except in English-Portuguese dictionaries.

I also did not find a discussion about the term using “Search discussion posts”.
