But first I have to finish my Kazakstan book. The Eastern European/old USSR books are the slowest for me to get through. But I’m almost done with The Day Lasts More Than a Hundred Years.

Absolutely! There really isn't time to join for 2021, but you can start compiling your list for 2022.

What will you be reading?"
My nr 15 is Gertrud by Hermann Hesse so I'll be heading for Germany,

I've also got that book on my list but as number 5 =)

I look forward to seeing where everyone heads to this year. Cheers!

I am looking forward to reading it.

#15 takes me to La Serenissima, City of Fortune: How Venice Won and Lost a Naval Empire

I really want to read that one and then watch the movie.

Me too. It's supposed to be pretty good, both the book and movie. So fingers crossed 🤞🏽

For the first time in 4 years, I had a DNF for January. Vilnius Poker wasn't for me - I felt like I was hopelessly lost in a Dali painting. But I did find another book for Lithuania which I'll try to also read in Feb, The Last Book Smuggler.

One of my favorite memoirs. The audible version is particularly good.
