Happy apartment viewing with the anxious people :D
I'm heading to Eswatini in May, reading When the Ground Is Hard. I haven't started April's book though, so better get moving!
I would go to a place where I have already read the book. What do I do now? I can't replace the book until June, right?
I'll be reading My Cat Yugoslavia which has been on my TBR for a while, I did make a start lst year but didn't get very far. Now to find the pile in which the book is hiding!
Finished my #18 for April, set in Canada:River Thieves by Michael Crummey - 4 stars - My Review
I am headed to Tunisia for May's #24:
A Tremor of Forgery by Patricia Highsmith
I'm going to Samoa with South Pacific Survivor: In Samoa.I'm still working on my April book and hope to finish but it is really not grabbing me so I'm struggling.
Finished #24 for May set in Tunisia:The Tremor of Forgery by Patricia Highsmith - 4 stars - My Review
In June, I'll be reading The River Between, from Kenya in the early white settler days. I'm about to start on my May book, Finding Nouf, which was one of the monthly reads some time last year. The library doesn't have the English version anymore, so I'll have to read the Norwegian translation.
For June I’m heading to Vanuatu an dreading Getting Stoned with Savages: A Trip Through the Islands of Fiji and Vanuatu. It’s been on my Take Down list for at least 2 years so Yay!
This month I've got the longest book on my TBR list (just under 900 pages) Los herederos de la tierra by Ildefonso Falcones. This is a follow up to Cathedral of the Sea which I very much enjoyed.
In July I'm going to The Azores with The Tenth Island: Finding Joy, Beauty, and Unexpected Love in the Azores
I've just finished my June read, a historical novel set in Spain with religious conflict as a backdrop and my July read El hereje (The Heretic) by Miguel Delibes is also historical, set in Spain and about religious conflict though set a century later.
I'm headed to Laos to read Thirty-Three Teeth, a mystery written by Colin Cotterill. I have enjoyed other books in this series.

Finished my #15 for July, which took me to Iran:Song of a Captive Bird by Jasmin Darznik - 4 stars - My Review
Ha! The perfect September number. My Birthday is Sept 3. So I’ll head to Kazakhstan for The Day Lasts More Than a Hundred Years.
Completed my #12 for August:The Moor's Account by Laila Lalami - 5 stars - My Review (features travels from Morocco to Spain to what is now the US and Mexico)
My #3 upcoming for September is:
A Man by Keiichirō Hirano (Japan)
Currently reading my August book, Les Hirondelles de Kaboul. My September book will be En finir avec Eddy Bellegueule
September's number 3 will take me to Kyrgyzstan as I will be reading 'The first teacher' by Aitmatov.
So number 3 on my list is Down and Out in Paris and London, it's a long time since I read any George Orwell so I'm looking forward to it.
