Is there a certain time to post the list for next year. I got here too late to do this for 2022 but I have a list for 2023 made already.
Finished #24 for December:The Pearl That Broke Its Shell by Nadia Hashimi - 4* - My Review - Afghanistan
Diane - thank you for moderating this challenge over the last few years. I think I just finished year 5? I just want you to know that I appreciate the effort you put into keeping it going. Are there plans to continue in 2023?
Yay, The 2023 TBR challenge begins. My first journey is t Honduras and I'll be reading Enrique's JourneyI'm looking forward to seeing what others will be reading.
This is the longest book on my TBR so we will see if we get a good start. I'll be going to Ancient Britain with Sarum: The Novel of England.

I'm starting the new year in Somalia with In the Company of Heroes: The Personal Story Behind Black Hawk Down
I’ll be reading Two Old Women: An Alaska Legend of Betrayal, Courage and Survival by Velma Wallis. Great start ;) happy with it!
Stephanie C wrote: "I'm off to Italy with The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco."This remains one of my favorite historical mysteries. Enjoy.
I'll be reading Fragmenter av fortid: Historiens rolle i russisk samtidslitteratur, a non-fiction book about the role of history in contemporary (post-2000) Russian literature
Simone wrote: "I'm starting the new year in Somalia with In the Company of Heroes: The Personal Story Behind Black Hawk Down"I finished my book. Oh my, this one hit home. My husband served as a Nightstalker in the 160th, like Michael Durant, and I could relate to some of the events, lingo, sentiments, etc. the author described. It took me a while to digest this book.
I will be in France with Sprinting Through No Man's Land: Endurance, Tragedy, and Rebirth in the 1919 Tour de France
I'm off to St. Thomas (hopefully for a little sun as we don't get much in Buffalo in the winter) with Somewhere On St. Thomas
I will be going to Bangladesh with Bengali Folk Tales. I am excited to read this. I bought it last year for one of the monthly reads but didn't get to it then.
Valerie wrote: "March will take me to Liberia with Wayeto Moore's She Would Be King"This was my Liberia book, too. I remember enjoying it.
I'll be reading Bel Canto, which will take me somewhere in South America, but I'm not sure where. :-)
Well, I haven't been doing well with this year's challenge, but I have yet to give up. May's scheduled book takes place in Russia: the classic Ten Days that Shook the World by John Reed
