Breta | 2 comments Hi my name is Breta. I read this book in the mid to late eighties. It was a fantasy book about a child that was left in woods because parent or parents died. Child was raised by animal family but I can’t remember what kind of animal. At some point human child met another human child of opposite sex. They fell in love and went west to bring peace between animals and humans. They were separated at some point and when they saw one another again part of conversation was: touching him or hugging him was like coming home again. If I remember anything else I will post. Thank you.
Breta

Aerulan | 1317 comments There's two "raised by animals/another species" listopia lists that could be worth a look if you haven't seen them already.

Breta | 2 comments Thank you but neither one. I read this in the mid to lat 80’s. So it was published before these as well. Look like good reads tho.

Breta:

Aerulan posted lists of books about children raised by animals or other species, not just two specific books. The lists contain many books published in or prior to the 1980s (e.g. The Jungle Book).

Breta, please add some plot details to your header/title. We have thousands of members looking for fantasy books so we need to be able to distinguish all those threads at just one glance.

Is this for children, YA, or adults?
Cover?

I added some detail to the header. Breta, you can change this by clicking on the small "edit" at the end of the header.
