Hi my name is Breta. I read this book in the mid to late eighties. It was a fantasy book about a child that was left in woods because parent or parents died. Child was raised by animal family but I can’t remember what kind of animal. At some point human child met another human child of opposite sex. They fell in love and went west to bring peace between animals and humans. They were separated at some point and when they saw one another again part of conversation was: touching him or hugging him was like coming home again. If I remember anything else I will post. Thank you but neither one. I read this in the mid to lat 80’s. So it was published before these as well. Look like good reads tho.
