The idea behind this challenge is to get you to read as many different genre's as possible.

You can do this 3 ways

Option #1: Find Me An Author
Go to Find Me An Author website and select the genre you want to read. You will then be shown pictures of authors who write that genre (no names though) select a picture of an author you find interesting and click on it. It will then take you to a their bio and some of the books they wrote. Pick a book and read it.

Option #2: Random Book on Goodreads
If you go to My Books- look at the bottom of your bookshelves and select Explore it will take you to the Explore Books page, then scroll down until you see where it says Random Books on the left side of the screen. If you click that link it will bring you up a random book that is listed on goodreads. (you can click view another random book if you get one you really can't read). Or you can click Random books and go there from here.

Option #3: Pick your own book
If you have several books in different genres you already want to read then simply read them.

Remember, the idea is you have to read as close to 12 different genres this year as you can.

finished a Science fiction book this month.

The story was a little odd but I really enjoyed the short stories after the main novel.
