William Bailey | 10 comments Hi All,

To be honest, I haven't been on Goodreads for sometime.

About 10 years ago, my life imploded. But I was able to rise from the ashes. I rebuilt and life is good again. Maybe it will even be what it once was.

That aside, I did find time here and there over the past decade to work on the second-edition to my sci-fi novel The Great Ship of Knowledge, Volume-One, Learning Earth's Deathly History.

The first-edition was my first attempt at writing anything.
Readers loved the story, but "rightfully" were angered by the poor editing.

But I learned from that experience. I learned what I had to fix. And I have addressed those issues with this telling.

I hired a professional book editor that I'm working with now. I want the text of this edition to be as perfect as it can be. I want to deliver the best possible product that I possibly can to the readers.

I have refined and expanded the story. I believe I have spun a noteworthy yarn this go round.

I had hoped to have the second-volume in the trilogy done by now. But I knew I had to rewrite Volume-One before moving on.

The second-edition will be released as an e-edition in 2019. I might release it in three parts, since it's a long story.

So, here is my short pitch.

"The Great Ship of Knowledge, Volume-One, Learning Earth's Deathly History" (second-edition) is a post-apocalyptic story about us "Learning Earth's Deathly History" 1000 years after Earth was destroyed in a nuclear World War.

The reality of our world, which we take as physical, is in fact a virtual copy of pre-apocalyptic Earth.

Although all of us believe we were physically born and living here on Earth, none of us were or are.

We are transcendent beings mentally inhabiting this replicated world built to perfectly mimic life on Earth.

In truth, our true physical forms are stored in individual life-chest on massive starships that have now treked across the Milky Way Galaxy for 1000 years.

The armada of Great Ships have finally reached the New World.

But before we can see our true forms, the Great Ships, or the New World--we must all Learn Earth's Deathly History--by virtually living it in this true to life, yet artificial reality.

And, judging by current world events, it won't be long before we witness the last war of humanity in virtual person!

That is all I have for now other than I turned 57 today. :-)

Happy New Year everyone!
