Got it! I was already on to Zlata's Diary - I didn't realize you were talking about The Secrets Between Us! I read The Space Between Us and really liked it and was really excited to see a sequel. Thrity Umrigar is such a good writer! I listened to Secrets on audio and Snedha Mathan is an excellent reader too. You would probably have to read them in order as the second book refers to many things that happened in the first.
