. I read to the grandkids while we wait for the school bus in the morning, and the first week or so of school they tend to run really late so we get quite a few chapters in. :)Next up: B

I'd rather say I'm I'm a lucky grandma, to be able to spend so much time with the kids. :)
Thanks Rosa! I gave up on my Z book

Finished the D book; love the dog in the story, which I enjoyed as much as I hoped to :) The Big Chili (Undercover Dish #1), by Julia Buckley, finished 9/13/21 ★★★.5
Would the interior of a room work for I, Jan? If so, I'll take that and next up would be J.
I can take J- journal (the writing looks like cursive on my hardback copy)

The Book of Candlelight by Ellery Adams

Barb - I'll take the interior room but I need the book you will be using. And Jillian, I will get you updated.

I'll be watching for your thoughts on that one, Jan. I really like the Haunted Guesthouse series by Copperman, and hope that this series is just as good :)

      FINISHED 'Y" for Youngster

Would this be for I ... "Iowa" is part of the sign...

Or perhaps this cover would be better? There's a map above the sign that shows an INTERSTATE highway (though it's pretty tiny)

And another option .... though I'm on the hold list at the library
I for ICING

This one was an option - I'm about an hour in and so far, so good!
BC - after all that we aren't on I. You must not have been on the furthest update. At the moment we are looking for N

Sorry! Forgot to let you know I finished M for Man with the George H. W. Bush book. Good book. It was a book club pick and I was glad it was about his post-presidency so we didn't have to get all caught up in the politics of his years in the White House. For years I've been trying to get on track to read one book about each of the presidents. Counting this one for Bush, Sr.! Unfortunately, I've only gotten as far as Jefferson on my quest... :) I also want to visit a place for each president - either their home or their library. I visited Mt. Vernon, Monticello, and Highland, James Monroe's house. Haven't gotten up to John Adams home in Quincy, MA yet. Do you think they'll let me tour Walker's Point in Kennebunkport? :)

Garfield.
