Interactive Alphabet I Spy Cover Game
Hi. May I join in? It's been ages...I could take Blue Leaves, if that works, with
. I just started it and it seems great.
If Teri's book works for B, I can take C with a cheese doodle (of all things!) I just put the book on hold and hope to get it relatively soon :)
I have never heard of a cheese doodle. I first read the post through the app which of course did not show the cover. I was trying to figure out how there was a drawing, doodle, made with cheese. It sounded very intriguing. Then I saw the cover and learned a new word here they are only called cheese puffs.
I finished B - Blue Leaves, with How to Walk Away by Katherine Center. It was very, very good, and I stayed up too late reading it last night. lolI can take D for dog with
by Sarah Morgenthaler.Next up: E
Thanks for the update Teri! Have you read other books by Katherine Center? I've been recently checking out her books and think I might enjoy them.I'll get you marked down for D!
Up next: E
Jan - GR won't let me reply right now, so...I've read three of her books in three days. 😊 I started with Happiness for Beginners, and though it began a little slowly I ended up loving it. My happiest summers were spent backpacking in the Rockies, so that added to the pleasure. Then I read Things You Save in a Fire, which was also a five star book. Then How to Walk Away. So three winners so far. They have a lot of similarities; I'd say pick the one that sounds most interesting to you.
I have What You Wish For on hold. I'm #91 on 17 copies at Overdrive. So it will be a while. lol
Thanks for the feedback Teri. I had picked up a copy for Happiness for Beginners so I'll probably start with that one. But several of the others look good too.
@teri-k, I will never ever complain again on overdrive waiting list. #91! 😱
Rosa wrote: "@teri-k, I will never ever complain again on overdrive waiting list. #91! 😱"Yep. My overdrive is great - tons of books. But some waiting lists can be killers. Even with 15 books on hold it can get tight waiting for certain books. :)

I finished
for dog. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the book. :(I can take E with eyebrows, if that's ok. They're pretty clear on the cover of the book -hers are nicely arched, his are straight and heavy. lol

Rosa - I got a notification that you wanted I. Did you change your mind since I don't see the post????

yes, sorry Jan. I started this non fic book thinking only the introduction would center around the author, but then discovered it's his style further in, too, and I was interested in the topic, not the author so put the book away since nobody has jumped in after me. sorry for the confusion

I can take L with Leather Pants,
by Jayne Castle. Though the heroine doesn't wear leather in the story. lolUp next - M.
I can take M-mammal
Book of Dark Magic by Sara BourgeoisTeri, it is funny how sometimes the characters on the covers do not match the book's character. I always think of the Dresden Files with Harry wearing a hat on the cover but I think he only wore a hat once in like 17 books.
Next up: N
I'll get you both updated Jillian & Teri!I think it's funny that you know that info about Harry, Jillian. I've read 5 of the books and I couldn't tell you if he wore a hat or not...LOL.
Looking for: N

I've only read a couple of the Dresden books, but I can't imagine him without a hat - thanks to those covers. lol
Another series of covers that doesn't look at all like the character is Mercy Thompson. She has one small, hidden tattoo in the book and wears jeans and t-shirts. On the covers she looks quite different. The artist calls the covers "symbolic". But what's a cover for if not covey what's inside? Ah, well...
Still next up - "N".
I finished Canyons of Night for L. It's fun series that goes quickly.I thought I'd take Nose for N, but everything I'm reading right now cuts off the faces on the cover, so no noses. haha
