Oops forgot to update....Finished 'Y" for Youngsters
by Valeria Luiselli5***** A cross-country journey from New York to Arizona gives one family – mother, father, 10-year-old boy, five-year-old girl – an opportunity to explore the history of this nation’s native peoples, and to learn about the current fabric of America and the people so desperate to come here. I loved the way this unfolded.

Finished my W (winter) book. It's #9 in a series I haven't started yet, but it was chosen for this month's F2F book group, so I shoved aside my read-in-order mania and read it. It was good enough that I'm moving the first in the series higher up the to-read list :)The Darkest Evening (Vera Stanhope #9), by Ann Cleeves, finished 3/17 ★★★.5
Off to look for Y ...
If you like older (late 40s?), rather persnickety MCs who don't give a hoot about fashion and propriety, and who expect only the best from the rest of her 'team,' you'll probably like Vera :)

A is all yours Rosa!! Thanks for the update Patrizia! I finally finished my S book.
I'll next B for Binoculars (they are probably opera glasses but aren't they just a pair of fancy binoculars?).
Up next: C
Finished my Z book. I'm still chuckling over some of the situations that Fortune, Gertie and Ida Belle get themselves into :) Gator Bait (Miss Fortune #5), by Jana DeLeon, finished 3/28 /21 ★★★★
*off to look for C*

Finished the C book. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't great either, and I'm not sure I'll continue the series unless it would fit a specific challenge task. The Bordeaux Betrayal (Wine Country #3), by Ellen Crosby, finished 3/30 ★★★

Finished my H book (heads) and found several women I'd like to learn more about. Highly recommend the book to anyone who wants to learn a bit more about historically important women that you don't learn about elsewhere. Bygone Badass Broads: 52 Forgotten Women Who Changed the World, by Mackenzi Lee, finished 4/4 ★★★★
NEXT : still I

Took forever but I'm glad I read it. Slow year for reading so far... Not a slump really but I just don't seem to be reading as much."
Karen - we have periods like that. Though I hope something fun is filling your time in its place...lol.
