I get you down for T, Denise! That's too funny about the Sister Fidelma organization. I'm not sure I would enjoy the series as much if I wasn't listening to them. Though I think I've only listened to 4 of them so far so not sure about the repetition thing yet.

"I only read one, maybe two, of them a year, so I don't notice any repetition :) That's a huge reason that I don't (can't?) binge read any series.

I'm the opposite, I have a hard time keeping track of the lines of the story when I try them on audio. Very few books cause me this problem - I don't know why it is wish it wasn't like that for me. Like I said tho the first 8 I just loved! I liked the next few and I'm planning on reading the next in series soon. Its been a while since I read one so it probably won't seem repetitive.

finished my S book
I think this is a book you could consider beach read, because you only can read it if you stop thinking and pay not to close attention

Rosa wrote: "I think this is a book you could consider beach read, because you only can read it if you stop thinking and pay not to close attention"That's too funny Rosa! I was actually surprised when I saw you were going to read it. It didn't seem like your usual kind of book.
I'll put you down for U. This looks more like something you would read :)

ha, yes! 🙈 this one is so much more speaking to me! I found the other one in one of those public bookcases, and since there are almost never english books, I thought: let's give it a try

I'll try V for variety. A variety of young women or a variety of individuals? (there are some men there)
, The Girls of Atomic City: The Untold Story of the Women Who Helped Win World War II by Denise Kiernan.Let me know.
Jan! I'm sorry! I forgot all about those roiling seas! I have both books in my possession and have started Atomic Girls. What do you want to do? I'm so sorry. I was waiting for the go ahead before I put variety on my Excel spreadsheet or I would have noticed.
Oops!! I'm going to bend the rules this one time Karen and keep you listed for both. Keep me posted on completion of them.
I'm slow in getting things posted online, but I finished my book for P (people) last week. It was well-researched and well-written, but it wasn't what I was expecting. The Deepest South of All: True Stories From Natchez, Mississippi, by Richard Grant, finished 8/4 ★★★.5
XO stands for hugs and kisses, and according to dictionary.com, the X usually means kisses, so would this work, Jan?
finished my U book Why Women Have Better Sex Under Socialism: And Other Arguments for Economic Independence (4*)
I finished V for Variety with The Girls of Atomic City: The Untold Story of the Women Who Helped Win World War II by Denise Kiernan.Phew! I'm back within the legal limit!
Whether or not you have read the fictionalized account of this book, The Atomic City Girls, one should definitely read this book. Very interesting, goes into much more depth about the making of the atomic bomb and an easy read to boot. Glad I read both. Definitely recommend this one.

thank you for the tip, Karen, it sounds very interesting

Finished my book for X (kiss0. It was ok, a bit too predictable for my taste, but others might really like it. It was one of those "free with amazon prime" books on my Kindle, and I'm glad to be able to return it at long last! While You Were Mine, by Ann Howard Creel, finished 8/13 ★★★
If you'll take dust jackets for D,
, next up would be E.
Thanks for the updates Denise & Barb! I was waffling on the dust jackets but why not?!!? Let's go with it.

Finished my book for D (dust jackets) and liked it enough to continue the series. It's nice to see a series with a main character who's in her 60s :)Crime & Punctuation (Deadly Edits #1), by Kaitlyn Dunnett, finished 8/20 ★★★.5
