A question about photos in blog posts

I've been trying to figure out how to share a photo on my blog, but I just can't seem to find the right way. So I think I'll just have to ask. Can anyone show me the right way to add a photo to a blog post? With thanks in advance. :-)

Hello Hákon - If you're trying to add an image you need to use HTML. The image must be sourced online, so grab the URL of the image you want to add. If the image is on your computer and not hosted online, I recommend creating an Imgur account, as they'll provide you with a URL for each photo you upload. As soon as you have this URL, insert it between the quotation marks below and paste that into the text field (without the spaces after and before the < >).

Hi Dany, it worked. I got the image into my blog post. I set up an Imgur account like you suggested and got a HTML command there which I added to my blog. :-)

I have a terrible time locating my blog to do a new entry. What’s the link? Also, why do you every time have to put in your FB account infor when you want to share the new blood entry to FB. Redundant to me.

Hi JoAnn, here's how to write a blog post from your author profile:

1. Navigate to your Author Dashboard.
2. Scroll down to Your Blog and click on "write a new post."
3. Enter your blog text and click on "publish." Your post will be published to your Goodreads Author blog and to your friends' and followers' updates feeds, depending on their individual settings.

If you'd prefer to sync your external blog directly to your author profile on Goodreads, you can do that as well. Here's how:

1. Navigate to your Author Dashboard and click on Your Blog.
2. On the far right, click on "edit blog settings."
3. Paste in the RSS feed address next to "external blog URL." I just checked, and it looks like your RSS address is [feed address]. In the future, you can confirm your blog's RSS feed address here.
4. Check or uncheck "show full post" depending on your preference, and click on "Add Feed."

That's it!

In regard to your Facebook query — Facebook recently stepped up their security from allowing third party websites to post to their platform (i.e. sites like Goodreads). Having to reenter your Facebook details would most likely be a result of this.
